20 seconds in and I have to say the best thing about this video is the fact you took the time to make sure this was do-able on console. I have 2K hours and watch every single one of your videos for most of my designs and sadly a lot end up being PC only or a few have niche workarounds. We console dwellers really appreciate stuff like this that we can do with no-hastle ❤
15:18 is the only issue I had with building on console, the easy workaround was build lower triangle foundations, use half walls to build/upgrade the frames then delete the rest.
@@thepebblesexplore83 same, the area he used for electric furnaces I just opted to make a locker space with an additional small box (no half height shelf).
I relate. I think as the game has matured people are looking for simpler solutions for bases, even though building metas are getting more and more complex.
Im currently two weeks into using this base and it is an absolute gem. I'm happy to glaze you because its a great design. I added an extra floor for more storage. 10/10 would window.
Also slapped a triangle metal ladder hatch on top of the bunker entrance. Also great for getting up and down. Can also be placed after the bunker is sealed.
If you are wondering, you can add a triangle hatch on top of the bunker and also have a level 3 in front of that window. I also expanded the top floor a little bit and now a duo can easily play out of it. Great base, very cheap.
@@FantasticKruH to be honest, last wipe I saw at least 5 Hermits on the first day or two so I stopped building it because, as you noticed, TC has become easy to find. If you really want to protect your TC, I would advise building something circular where 3 layers is still cheap, or else I don't think it's worth adding more layers on the back because doors -> bunker or sides will be cheaper and you always want the same raid cost no matter where they come from. That's just my two cents, though.
So this is the best base I have ever seen. Only play solo and this is the exact base I want. Love stability bunker and this base doesn't even look like it has one
I built this last night on a test server..was a lot easier than I expected! Feel like I have a better understanding of some of the basic building concepts that I can use in my own designs in the future. Thanks for the guide 😺
Ive memorized this base build. I’m a paranoid solo who loves to hunker down in a little turtle shell so this really appeals to me. The only downside is how the storage space is truly elevated by having the DLC. Without it, you run out of space and have to either use the upstairs area or expand on the base free-hand. But that’s literally the only thing I’d call a problem
Very cool base design and thank you for taking it slow and explaining step by step what you're doing. Some videos people rush and easy to lose track of what is going on. Thanks!
I love that you can build this WITHOUT having to be able to "admin float". I don't really play on my own servers, so I can't "no clip" everywhere I DO play...nice easy design....easy to mod up so it's not the same "as seen on TV"...good stuff bro....
I gotta say, my favourite solo base. This tank has defended 2 offline raids so far on a monthly server, testing if it if can last entire wipe. For solo you got everything you need.
Not sure if it's been posted or not, but you don't consume power using electrical branches if the powered device is off, but you DO lose the ability to use that power further down the e-branch chain. So, if you have 6 electric furnaces, you need to set the e-branch to 18, but if the furnaces are off, the battery will show a power draw of 0, and the power out on the e-branch will only have 82 power available to use. This is why a lot of people use a separate electrical system for furnaces and/or conveyors.
sick build, matching the roof on the bottom, placing one at the other square next to it connects them both together adding more protection to core if raiders was going thru walls
i really like the solo base content coming out, it's a really nice refreshing change of pace from everything else out there and ur usual stuff. keep it up :D
As someone that plays solo 90 of the time, this might be one of my fav bases I have ever seen I ADORE cozy feeling bases that feel homey and secure. That said, with the way the drop box is placed is it possible to use a ladder hatch to get in and out as opposed to a bunker mechanic? I know without the bunker there is no need for the drop box, but he more storage is more storage.
Man, your electricity guide was one of the most simple I've seen. Thanks! Do you have any guides on automating the electric furnaces so they can automatically fill the TC or anything like that?
One slight improvement for the electricity at the end.. its good that you use splitters for the furnaces, but instead of having 2 branches feeding 2 splitters, you can feed directly from the final turret branch into a splitter, and then connect your 2 splitters to that splitter. Because with your setup, regardless of having furnaces on or off, it will still draw 20 power
I was just gona say this. He is right to say splitters are better but his reasoning is not correct for this use case. You can also eliminate the second splitter altogether wiring the splitters of the mainline of the first branch allowing for less power consumption while furnaces are not running. Or better yet branch furnaces before the battery to avoid the 20% tax.
Hey Im new to electrical in rust anyway you could explain that a lil better for me haha My furnaces keep shutting off with the power he had me do in the video
@@prestonjohnson7656If it works sometimes, sounds like youre not producing enough power.. add another turbine or another solar panel or 2 using root combiners. So turbine + solar panel -> root combiner/s -> battery
How on earth is that an "intro"?! That is the most cinematic "rust-anything" I've ever seen. If rust would only look that good. Holy crap. Do you import the entire Base etc. into some 3d Software/ Unreal Engine and redo the lighting and camera and everything? Even the character animation looks like it's mo-capped. That looks unreal. Absolutely cracked!
Quelle base incroyable, j'ai été visité deux fois dans la semaine et il ne sont pas arrivés au loot... J'ai posé aujourd'hui la conpound + les tourelles auto... Merci pour ce design incroyable !!!
Great video and base ❤. As a solo player I may build it on this wipe. Like the gate house, but I believe external TC is a must so would always recommend, even if build back is to the external walls. Also electrics as a solo, run 3 elec furnaces on 13 power you don’t need more. Optional add 2 more conveyors (4) and automate wood burning furnaces, so 15 power total. Lastly increase height of windmill to increase power generation, you could power 5 turrets, lights and automation on 1 windmill.
Love this base. I slapped an Alone in Tokyo style raised bedroom/shooting floor on it and it's perfect for me. Much love and appreciate the electric guide because I needed it 😂.
Revising my comment. I messed up the vendy part by tc but I was able to save the base by using industrial stuff to collect and send things to tc. Sick build.
This is great. I suggest instead of ladder, use ladder hatch. Theyre pretty cheap but also prove that tiny bit of extra defense when leaving base and not sealing.
this is def going to be a new base for me. just recently got back into the game after a year or so and the base metas have changed quite a bit and these vids are awesome!!
It's really refreshing that you're finally doing bases that's meant for solos, I do enjoy watching your videos while having my brunch, keep it up. I have a request, is it possible for you to revamp some old TH-camr rust base, since that base design is long patch, and that youtuber doesn't even reply of his own videos anymore. Like dead dead. Prob irl commitments I guess. Hordy711, 2x2 base with the checky vending machinessssssss, I used to build that every single wipe, it was also featured on other youtubers stream once, the full metal base. 😂
I just learned the hard way that you have to put the half height shelf in the furnace room before you put the door frame in doh. Also its hard to fit automation storage adapters on all 3, i managed two so i guess one just wont be used haha
I've used this in two wipes so far, had adapt the design a bit as only having turrets on one side make its easily Raided from the rear (even with a compound)
Definitely a great base to use! Thanks for the awesome video! Just a note from use, a turret on the back side is worth having, if your getting raided from the back anyways it probably won't do much, but more as a deterrent lol

I started playing vanilla recently and I realised how important a cheap base is, especially as a solo.
