Shawn was never the best of singers same as Ian brown as a kid born in 75 this was when the scene was picking up as a young teen a shared a box room with my big bro with bunk beds the room was about 6x12 and he had massive posters and I would slag him saying why do you like these guys that wear tights and make up and long hair 😂ya weirdo ,(posters of iron maiden Metallica megadeath pink Floyd thank God for Syd barret 😂 but when I got to be a young teen seeing the mondays and roses beastie boys de la soul seeing banana rama and wham bros wet wet wet on my sister smashhits I was l thought what a lot of dross the charts were that's when the charts was a thing but it wasn't the singing it was the songs and the attitude we identified with I love Shawn's voice in those days and they looked like the way we dressed & wore what we wore they wear great days and great songs Shawn's like some sort of singer slash space poet mc 😂guys a genius with words but they wouldn't sound right many people trying to cover a mondays song hahaa
