TooTallToby i need help, i have a part in SOLIDWORKS and i want to create another part that is mirrored with all the features with out using the assembly Symmetry
In part mode you can pick a plane, then choose INSERT > MIRROR PART this will kick off a new derived part and you can choose BREAK LINK TO ORIGINAL. the new part will have all the features, and they will all be parametric, but they will remain in the original location (not the new mirrored location). But that's as close as you're gonna get using the built in functionality. So its basically the same as doing a MIRROR BODY, then using DELETE BODY to delete the original body from the tree.
Love the "Try again" option!
