- Welcome back to another episode of Getting Things Done in which I declutter, clean and reset the back deck, including installing a new cantilever umbrella and finally get around planting vegetables and treat my roses.
Enjoy!

WILLY!!!Thanks for helping your mom. She works so hard.
You Americans really hv the luxury of space! Appreciate it! Make your home a dream for you and family!
Sophia, I have been watching you for years. Once again, you never fail to impress! Love the look of the garden and the deck. Luv ya girl!🙂❤
Love the name of this series! Plain and simple: getting things done!
Love the umbrella.. Looks like a giant poppy
Happy Memorial weekend to you and your family. 😊
I love your clean redecorated deck
Me, I’d appreciate the deck more than an addition to your already big house. Such a lovely spot to enjoy looking into your garden.
I love to see the joy in your face when things work. Love the umbrella.
Yay!!! Sophia video 😍
You all did awesome! Your garden and deck look beautiful!!❤
The cocoa mat. RIP
Umbrella looks like a big poppy flower 🌺
The deck is looking really nice. I think removing the coco railing covering makes it look so much neater. The new addition of the parasol will really add to your evening dining experience. Your garden is looking good, you have so many beautiful plants. With the rose bush that isn’t doing well, hard prune it back to about a foot from the ground, spray it with rose feed such as ‘miracle grow’ and it will re-sprout. This always worked for my mum’s rose bushes.
Your garden is beautiful. You don’t look behind on things from here. It’s hard when our garden work is weather dependent.
You did so much work in your backyard! It's incredible. le Chiffre looks really good, love to see her rolling around in the grass!!!
I have neglected our yard so much but I have made it a top priority to take care of it and pull so many weeds, there's grass growing in all the flower and perennial beds, it needs new mulch, years of neglect but I will get it back!! Foot by foot! Yes, we do mow the lawn sometimes two times a week and it looks ok, but not ideal. I want an oasis, not an eyesore lol
I know it must have been so satisfying to get the screening and lights down--especially with the tip you found!
I love how you get down to getting things done. Very inspiring
5:15 I just bought some patio lights to replace my old ones on Amazon. I was procrastinating it because everything I looked up was so expensive These were a good price! Brightever LED Outdoor String Lights 100FT Patio Lights with 52 Shatterproof ST38 Vintage Edison Bulbs
Everything has gotten so expensive! Have to do alot of research to find a good price/deal and that can be time consuming!
@@sharonnorvell3397 Hi Sharon! I know right?
A suggestion from me to you; in your Secret Garden you could add some butterfly bush to being even more color to that area.
Looking great!! Why do we put things off that are so easy and fast to do? Please show us the deck again at night with the umbrella lights and when you plant the pots. Petunias would look really pretty. Thanks for the video.
I like the umbrella, it's wonderful and makes big difference .. Good job👍👍👍
I was doing a lot of work in my garden today. It was so satisfying. I relaxed watching this video. I always enjoy it Sophia 😊
Cool umbrella! ⛱ 🇺🇸
Garden is so beautiful ! You have worked so hard on it, and it shows. What a relaxing haven you have made. I've never seen that type of umbrella being set up. We both gasped at same time lol! It matches and looks gorgeous!
I live in a short gardening season area of Alberta. it's not too late for cabbage. Cabbage can take some frost in the fall.
I love flowers. I use to work in the yard & plant flowers but I can't anymore. Since I had both knees done I can't get down. I miss it. 😢 But I love watching you.
Hi Sophia, Finally you took down that coco lining. The deck looks great. You were busy this week. Good job.
I love hanging my clothes out on the line too.
Your blouse looks great on you. Great job on the patio/deck.😊
Another very motivating video. Thank you Sofia! ❤
Love your videos 🌞
Great job. Looks great!
Love watching your videos!
Everything is looking really nice. You should hang flower pots on the areas where you had the cocoa privacy doodah. Glad to see you outside again.
I need to secure that wall again. They removed the support when they resided the house and I realized they did not replace it. Got to come up with something.
@@mygreatchallenge Yeah, I saw that. Diagonal brace?
And to think at one time you were worried because Willie wasn’t frowning. Whoa Willie slow down.
Beautiful, Sophia. you work so hard!!
Just a suggestion I would paint decking and spindles grey to match the house cladding, it would look beautiful....good job Sophia
🤗 from London U.K
My house is not grey. It s chestnut brown.
@@mygreatchallenge opps it looked grey on my mobile🤔 in that case then brown🤗
😮Willie is taller than you i remember when i first started watching your videos he was small boyhe surely grew ❤😊
Wow look how tall Willy is getting! Is he a senior this year? 👍💜

Le chifre😂😂😂
I like the new intro!
Simple pre-made with canva. Just drop in yjr pictures.
Great Video, really enjoyed it. I was cleaning up during the week and found a whole pile of money hidden away.....it was like I got paid for the cleaning! Who claimed the money?
It just went into the groceries envelope
🎉🎉
I live in Iowa, I clean up my deck and then we have another thunderstorm roll in during the night and then my deck is covered with leaves again. Tornadoes hopping all around. Not a nice Spring.
Yep. That s one of the reasons I tend to wait for late Spring. We just had one big storm the other day that took down massive amount of new blooms and leaves.
❤
You are a dynamo!
Yay for finding cash.
Perhaps try some shade cloth over the broccoli or replant for a fall crop.
I am going to start some again late August for fall. Just to extend the season.
@@mygreatchallenge I have to do that sometimes. Good luck! 🥦
Your hairband or barrette at the end is so beautiful! Link?
Aliexpress
Your Korean mint looks fabulous. What is it like to eat?
I don't eat it. I just add it to tea. It tastes like licorice.
@@mygreatchallenge sounds interesting.i love licorice flavour I might see if I can find some x
Do eggplants annual plant? That comes again every year
Plants that come back every year are perrenials. Annuals are just for the year or season. Eggplants are annuals. There aren't a lot of vegetables that are perenials some herbs and salad types are. But most, you need new ones every year.
Miss you! I hope you are ok?
Hi Sofia we miss your videos is everything ok?
I am back on Tuesday. I just took a week off. Thanks for checking in.
I was wondering the same thing! So glad everything is OK - miss you so much when you don't post!
Does your son and husband help at all? Lily of the Valley will overtake the garden.
European women move quickly to get the job done. They do everything on their own unless they face a job that may require extra assistance. My mother came from Ireland and raised 8 kids and did not ask for help. She kept busy doing projects until she was in her late seventies and needed the help of my brothers. Sophia is so inspiring!! Let us get the job done without outsourcing it.
Hey! Come on. You are not being fair. If you watch regularly, you can see that her family is very helpful. But, this is a channel that really encourages people to start doing the projects they want. I find this channel to be very helpful and empowering. And her family is fun and loving and very helpful.
