My favorite stores for clothes are Old Navy (for tees and tanks and linen pants for casual summer wear), Talbots (only during 40% off sales), Tuckernuck for dresses, beach coverups, Vineyard Vines for classic colors and styles, Lilly Pulitzer for fun cheerful patterns, and JCrew. These stores are all size inclusive!

I wish stores merchandised the clothes by body types.
Stop paying attention and wake up in a banana republic. These are not normal times in the 🇺🇸.

Hi Nancy! You're so right about finding stores that fit ones body type. I'm short and pretty apple- and straight-shaped. J Crew clothing usually fits me and Liverpool London really works for me, especially their petite offerings. Everlane is the exact opposite of my body type; they seem to fit tiny waists and larger hips and thighs. I don't even look at their website anymore to get tempted, lol. Most of their things won't work on me. My current problem is high waisted pants and jeans. They come up to my bra and really cause lots of pain and just make me look doofy. I'm looking forward to lower rises coming back as they always hit me perfectly at my waistline.

I've started sewing clothes again. They don't look or for any worse than the clothes I buy nowadays because of my middle-age body. I keep it simple. I made a dress form with duct tape that's actually ME. I don't like looking at it, but it helps me tailor my clothes for ME. I spend no more time sewing than I do shopping for clothes that flatter. Once I find a pattern I like I can endlessly copy it with different fabric.
Number 1 is the most important, in my opinion. When your clothes fit, they always look good.
My favorite stores for a petite is Talbots & TJ Maxx but they have all sizes! I love your monochromatic outfit, where can we get it?
These were great tips but I have to disagree with you on the v-neck being flattering on everyone. I have a long neck and narrow shoulders so this neckline just accentuates that. My best neckline is either a crewneck or a mockneck.
Why use all tall slim models to show us high-waisted pants. For sure some of your viewers have this body type but... more than likely not the majority.

I lost a lost weight, about 40 lbs. I started altering my clothes. Had no idea what size I was. I was size 14, I use to be a size 8. Decided to bite the bullet and get new clothes. Went to a store my friend worked at. Tried an 8, fell off me. Kept stepping down in sizes and landed on size 2. So excited. And bought new clothes. But the weight was creeping back. Up to 4, then 6. Started buying spandex clothes. Decided, 6 was good. Started modifying my diet and weighing myself daily. When my weight creeped up and my clothes got tight, usually after summer vacations and holidays, I would bring it back down. I basically stopped with the diet and changed my eating patterns. Now I just buy a couple of trendy things to spruce up my wardrobe…

Great ideas! I have found that I shop mostly at Talbots and JJill since they have all of their clothes in Petites. And believe it or not I have found some cropped wide leg pants that fit me very well at Costco this spring. Hope all is going well for you. Is this your new room? Love the wallpaper!
Costco is great for coats and workout clothes. I usually look to try to find other things to. Anything there will be a bargain and last a long time.
The v-neck is my favorite but it can sometimes be harder to find. It seems like everything is in crew neck.
Glad to see you back on TH-cam. My favorite store is Nordstrom. My favorite line of clothing is BillaBong. Yes, the surf brand! Even at my advanced age. Because their stuff fits me great and it’s soft and fun to wear.
Ralph Lauren fits my long legs and arms perfectly. I dipped my toe into Talbots for some of their floral (groundbreaking) summer prints. I wear plenty of neutrals. But summertime in Boston/Cape Cod Ma. a summer print is mandatory. I'm testing out different clothing lines to see how they work with my rectangular body. I like Laroche-Posay for skincare. I have a great esthetian. She picks the facial I need. Over 50... you need a Beauty Squad 😊

Mossimo capris and jeans in a junior size fit me like a glove- and much better than missy sizing. The low rise and proportion fit my 5'2" figure.

Always good to hear ideas like these - it's so easy to just buy and wear the same things automatically - and then complain when we can't find what we always used to buy because the rest of the world has moved on. My eyebrows are white while my hair is darker so that's been an issue and I have thought of dyeing them but was worried if it didn't turn out well I'd have to live with it for a while. I use a kind of felt-tip pen from the Wet and Wild cosmetics at the drugstore and it's worked pretty well. Love your beautiful bathroom tile!!!

If I tuck jumper in at front will it accentuate my tummy in high waist trews?
If you only tuck it in slightly in the front or in the front on one side, it will create a diagonal line that visually breaks up the body and provides a slimmer effect.
