I went to their website to look around after seeing this video and noticed they have the AD20.5 in D2 with DLC coating on sale for $96. Seems like a sweet deal.
I’ve had my nano for a while. Been carrying exclusively for two weeks. Great EDC. Highly recommend if you have the means. The thick body makes it easy to use.
I thought the AD20.5 pricing was insane when they came out, but this is another level. Sorry Demko, this is a home run at $150 but absolutely a pass at $230.
I'd like to see a version that's $50-$60 with 153cm or 14c28n or something like that. That'd be fair, and be strong competition for all the other great small knives out there, like the baby banter.
In my experience with previous sharklocks, it's only uncomfortable until you get used to the fact that it's a different sensation than a flipper tab. The muscle memory comes quickly and the skin gets used to it (a slight callous forms) after like a week of use.
Looks like a Mini Tuff Lite with a Shark Lock. I imagine it will sell on the secondary for $130-150 like the BM Full Immunity (MSRP $300). Premium tiny knives will always be a hard sell.
Definitely have a Demko product of some sort on my 2025 wishlist. All three knives I’ve received this year (purchased last year) are between 2-3in, which is smaller than I’d normally carry… BUT I’ve quickly grown to like all 3 of them so far. The Nano Shark would continue this trend of compact knives, but that not all I’m picking up this year lol.
The Flytanium Arcade is a better overall EDC than the AD20.5/shark cub IMO. There, its been said. 🎉. Its a very fun locking mechanism, but the AD series is so unfriendly in hand compared to the contoured profile of the Arcade
Wait wait wait wait. HOW MUCH? LOL! $230? Yeah, looks neat. I don't really like small knives unless they are neck knives and I like MM. And for that much, I can pick hundreds of knives I would rather have for that price or lower. Great review as usual though.
Shark Cub XL when? I agree that I think the price is too high, though not outrageous. I know it's not apples to apples, but I already have a pyrite mini in s90v, Ti/CF and I can't see paying that much more for less high end materials. Not for a mini at any rate. I love having a mini on my keys, but I don't edc them, so it would have to _replace_ the pyrite mini, and I just don't see the nano shark as an "upgrade" in that respect.
Already did, but yes, if you dig the Demko, it’s worth it. BUT, the Shark Cub is still the best model outside the full sizes IMO. Long story short Demko does it right!
I freaking love this knife! It's so fun! The stocky fullback is a great analogy 🤣 I hope someone makes aluminum or titanium scales for it. More beef on this little guy would be great! 😂 I'm not mad at the price at all. It's too fun
Nice review!! Shame that buying one from a Canadian retailer requires deep pockets.. I appreciate your comments and based on them I prefer the shark cub. I will watch for a great price on from a Canadian retailer.
@@danw9865 you are correct. I have never purchased a television. My wife has, but not me. Good point though. In the knife hobby the cost/size ratio is rarely applicable. To an average consumer for sure it does. I consider myself an enthusiast, which equates to…ignorant of money 🤣
This definitely seems like it’s for demko fans…I like it. But if you were just looking for a pocket knife, this seems horrible for that. It wouldn’t make sense to only appeal to enthusiasts from a financial perspective…but I kinda think demko did that here. As a known paint guzzler, I can highly recommend Rustoleum “gloss sail blue,” wonderful hints of a floral spice with a beautiful crisp finish.
And with the shark lock, after you pull it back and up all the way, as the blade begins to close, YOU HAVE TO LET GO(this is very important) of the shark lock. Once you let go, the blade will “suck in” and return home.
Love the knife but I have to say a nope for me,I'd either buy me another ad 20.5 in blue g10 scales with a clip point this time or a shark cub slicer for that price an have tad bigger knife.
Hey! Just because I'm a moron doesn't mean I guzzle paint. Now that 8 got that off my chest, that was an astounding review, probably because I agree with everything you said. (Ain't confirmation bias rewarding?) I just broke my "no more budget knives" commitment and bought the Shark Cub in AUS-10. I kept saying no. Then I said yes. Anyway, I'd love to have the Nano, but it's too expensive. There are too many other knives on my buy list at that price. I'll wait and see what happens. I would go for a $150 version in more budget friendly materials. I'm pretty sure we'll see several different versions. If it doesn't sell, which I can't imagine, they'll find a way to make versions at a lower cost. If it does, they'll create new versions based on the strength of the sales. At least that's the opinion of this moron.
I agree. I got the grivory shark cub and the lock is pretty sharp. I fidgeted with it for a couple days and ripped my finger up a bit and eventually developed a calice. I work with my hands I don’t have sissy hands but it is aggressive. I handled the ad20.5 that a friend of mine has and it’s significantly more comfortable and less aggressive. Not to mention I ordered the shark foot blade and they sent me the drop point. I was a bit disappointed but I would probably get another one of their knives that is more refined.
When are people going to learn that the cost of materials and labor has zero to do with what a product will sale for. Economics 101…..supply and demand determine sales price. This is why knives such as the Rosie sell so high on the secondary market. This is the same reason people hype up the release of a drop. Drive up the demand for a limited supply and wa-la, high sales price
While the shark lock is a draw, I just don't think this knife provides anything the CIVIVI baby banter or Spyderco Dragonfly doesn't do for a lot less money. I have a real problem with Demko, though. Pricing. They think they're Benchmade. All the AD's are overpriced to BM levels, IMO.
There will always be some paint guzzler screaming “this knife should only cost $40 dollars” This got me good 🤣🤣 Ecspecially the voice change. Good video man, keep it up

You can get the cub for $72 if you want cheap. Love this knife and $230 is fair for 20cv.
Exactly. This price point is what is keeping me from buying one.
@@RevolvingBlades69 If you think 20CV alone makes a knife like this worth $230, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

Can you repeat the sound of the spring escaping?
"Boyoyoyoyoyoyoying!"
The lock feeling weird isn't an issue on the Civici/WE super lock knives.

i can get behind this, i think i carry my flytanium more often
Shark cub is my favorite
It would be nice for a comparison with the Cold Steel MINI TUFF LITE but knowing me, I will pick up a Demco also
That thing is going to look sick with Ti diamond texture 😮
WANT. just need some different colors too. was waiting for this size
So what you're saying is that the Manix 2 is a bit like training wheels for the amount of force to apply to the shark lock?
Wait wait wait wait. HOW MUCH? LOL! $230? Yeah, looks neat. I don't really like small knives unless they are neck knives and I like MM. And for that much, I can pick hundreds of knives I would rather have for that price or lower. Great review as usual though.
Do you have any knife storage recommendations for the Demko or any other group of knives for that matter.

Wouldn't the Shark Cub XL just be the standard AD 20.5?
@@Lochlann13 No, because the handle design on the cub is vastly superior to the AD20.5

I love the size, stoutness and the locking mechanism, but the cost is too high for the size.
Size has an associated cost? When did that start applying to anything but a burger?
@@dinner_workingslyApparently you’ve never bought a television.

You can have a righty & lefty pocket clip at the same time... OoH RIGHT, giggity!

The smallest im comfortable going is the shark cub, but I'll hope they release an s35vn version, and pick that up
Is a Nano pp worth using?
Ill wait till it goes on sale!
If they’d bring the price down any at all maybe but it’s the same price as my stealth with less material so hard to justify
Reminds me of the Zero Tolerance 0020. It’s a $280 knife that sits in the drawer because it’s so small it’s not practical.
I don't know if they'll do itbut this model but bigger with ti scales might be really cool. I have an ad 20 already but this is cool regardless
Anyone have a microjimbo to do a side by side size comparison to?
Shark cub is small enough. This seems like a novelty to me.
Very cool knife, and there’s a few reasons why I would like to own it, BUT there’s more reasons why I won’t ever own it!
Now I know why you saved the price for the end.
At that price and size- this Demko or a TRM Holey Nerd?
Nerd is smaller and slicier, while the Nano is chunky and fidgety. I’d say it depends on your priorities.
I would carry it, nice and compact

How do you kill someone with this? 🤔
Tell them the price. 😅
Love my Nano Shark!!!!
Paint gugler!!🤣🤣🤣hahah that’s a new one😂😂😂😂
6 inches is just fine as an OAL...
As a real life Demko fan boy who has the Magnacut Freereign, I can't wait to Baton with the Nano. Dowls better watch their backs! 😂
If I liked small knives, I'd be all over this.
How could you not have baby shark playing softly in the background?

I dont know if these referenced "gun people" know much about guns either. As with knives and all other things, many factors go into the final price.
2:15 Your words cut deeper than any blade.😢
Everyone knows girth outweighs length MC!
Lock on the shark cub is sharp and uncomfortable. Wish u would have mentioned that in your review.
someones got weak fingies

You got soft hands, boy.
It might not have been "sharp and uncomfortable" to him.
That's why they make ultra fine sandpaper and polish
I would love to buy one of these... for $120. $230 is robbery, and I won't have it.
Shark lock is cool and all, but this is way less knife for way more money. Rather have an AD10 and a tuff lite for less money.
It's not for me but it has a purpose and cool none the less.
"Not even six inches" is funny because six inches would be absurdly large right?😮💨
If tou like it and you dont like the price just buy 5 cold steel tuff lites 😅

Good video man, keep it up
Shark chode is not worth it
No Sir it silly waste of money. Ya can buy more pretty knives then this ! Do not buy. Grab a banter baby and smile with your money left!,,!

It's pretty expensive for a Chinese knife... 😏
