Very Cool videos Patrice !! Maybe in some future video you can explain how a matt glossy finish is made, off course with out giving away your secrets !! congrats ! saludos desde Mexico !
In theory I am NOT supposed to remove them and helmet manufacturers hates it. I don't want to put myself in a bad place by showing you how to do it. I hope you understand?
Beautiful and super interesting videos!..some shots are really suggestive and I too would like to start making vlogs with my airbrushing videos..some advice about it?
You should! I may not be the right guy to give lessons about filming. I learned a lot watching guys like Peter McKinnon, MAKE.ART.NOW or Matti Haapoja.
@@helmetgurucanada Thanks a lot for the answer! and thanks also for the advice I will definitely watch..because at the moment I only made videos with the painting and airbrushing phases but there is no talk and I liked the idea of introducing some vlogs too .
I love your videos! I just started working on painting my dad's helmet and have a question, how do you avoid scratching the paint when cutting the masking tape?
Always use a sharp blade. When you "think" it's worn off, it's already too late. When your blade is extra sharp, you can better control the force needed to cut the tape. Have fun!
Learn Illustrator and Photoshop, that's what I did on my own through books and TH-cam. Find as much information as possible and just do it. If you are good enough, helmet painting will chose you!
Hi Patrice , beautiful work again, is it solvent or water base paint you use or both, I noticed you wear a mask in the booth but not with the airbrush thanks
Good observation. I sometimes have issues with the fresh clearcoat releasing solvents and creating problems with my masking tape. That's why I always apply some intercoat as a precaution.
one of my favorite motorsport content on social media by far, i have a thing and fascination w./ helmets
Thank you.
a tip : watch series at flixzone. Been using them for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.
@Jase Jesse definitely, I've been using Flixzone} for years myself =)
Keep the videos coming, great work.
Thanks, will do!

Noted!
Your video's rival your helmet paint/designs! Both are fantastic!!
Glad you like them!
Great Job
Thank you.
Thanks for another great video Patrice. I’d love to see any tips for removing and reapplying rubber trims.

@@helmetgurucanada Of course Patrice. I understand. Keep up the great content and I look forward to your next video.
I loved your videos... I'm subscribed!
I work with painting in Brazil.
Do you use Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator to make your designs?

Why do you use yellow foil for masking your logos and so on ? And which foil is it. Greets frpm germay. Yours Tom
Inspiring work. Both the paint and the video work! Can you advise on the vinyl you use for the stencils? Thanks! Subscribed!!
That has to be the most asked question :-) I use RTape Prograde paintmask.
I looked around, but didn’t see that question. Thanks for taking the time to answer it again!

Great Video! I was wondering, how do you make your digital designs, and maybe some advice on how to start painting as a beginner? Thanks

@@helmetgurucanada thank you for the reply:)

Yes, correct. My ventilation at my airbrush station is really good. I use only solvent based paint.
After your clear and sanding, the helmet looks glossy again. Did you apply an intercoat before second round of graphics? What's the reason for that?
Good observation. I sometimes have issues with the fresh clearcoat releasing solvents and creating problems with my masking tape. That's why I always apply some intercoat as a precaution.
What brand is the yellow stencil vinyl that you use?
Most asked question on this channel. It's RTape ProGrade paintmask.
@@helmetgurucanada Appreciate the reply, love your videos!
What airbrush do you use
I use 3 Iwata Revolution.
