Patrick! The day i came across your channel was the day I decided to let my creative juices flow again. Your an inspiration and in my view darn near the best thing on youtube. I appreciate and respect everything that your doing. I love it. I count the day's in between your vlogs. Thanks man!
I super appreciate your time and effort into making content like this ontop.of you actually painting helmet, sooo satisfying watching helmets created from.a blank canvas
hello patrice , im an rc shell painter , but ive always wanted to do replica f1 helmets .. helmet painting is completely the wrong way round to what i know, but with your help and advice ive struggled though, , thank you for sharing your brains
I used to do video editing for a hobby and I know how much work goes into a video. You really put in a lot of work in your shots and while painting a helmet. I used to video tape myself painting my artwork and I only had one shot and it still was a lot of work in editing. Props to you.
I really do appreciate these videos Patrice. I still marvel at how you layer up colours and work out the order, whilst at the same time, keeping the layers to a minimum. 🙌
Hi Patrice, it is VERY appreciated thank you very much :) You're a master of your art and yours videos are very pleasant to watch, with a very pleasant background music ! Keep on brother
I appreciate your effort in making this videos, go ahead it's such an inspiring vision for all of us! Thanks for it Patrice! I really would like to see a video with some trick and tips about the tools.... Thanks man, from an Italian fan!
Hi Jack, thank you for the kind words. There is so much things I am willing to share on TH-cam and other stuff I need to keep as secret. Unfortunately I can't share all my tricks. I hope you understand? Cheers.
Great videos, thanks for sharing! Quick question about the pencil lines you’re using for the tape layout. Do you mask next to them and then erase them? How do you deal with the reference lines? Thx
Another really quick question. For helmets that have vent attachments and wings on them, do you paint and clear those separately or do you reattach them before clear? How do you make the paint pattern transfer to them seemlessly when they aren’t attached to the helmet? Thanks, love the blogs!!
It's a transfer tape I found years ago from a guy in Toronto. I can't get it anymore. I am still running on the rolls I bought at that time. If you can find it somewhere, let me know. It says ABBA TAPE V6 on the roll.
@@helmetgurucanada I got some complex illustration that I designed in Adobe Illustrator with a lot of details that need to be cut. I was thinking if I could print that picture out and just stick it to the helmet. Is that how your transfer tape works? Any suggestions on the material I can use? Thank you for your time and reply! I know it’s a lot of work!
I am not sure about what you are talking about. You want to print a pattern and stick it? Like a car wrap? You need a vinyl printer for that, it's a whole other game.
You should hire a camera man. Less work for you, better quality videos. You need someone only to take the shots, and still you can do the editing work. Finding the right angles, manual focusing, moving the lights etc. But I like your videos anyway.

You are so welcome! It's one of the things that makes or breaks a helmet paint. Cheers.

Absolutely love your work👌 can I ask, how did you make your pencil stand/holder to mark perfectly straight lines? Thanks
With the help of machinist friends and some scrap parts. Sorry I can't be of any more help.
Keep doing what you do good job
Thank you, I will

Can I ask what vinyl film you use for your stencils? I just bought some Oramask® 810, but was wondering your thoughts on what you use. Awesome video.
Also, I know what it takes to make videos, (check out our channel) So THANK YOU! YOUR WORK IS APPRECIATED!
The yellow masking vinyl is RTape ProGrade paintmask. I also use the Oramask 810 from time to time.
Thank you I appreciate. It is a lot of work.
Hi, what are you using to transfer the wording and the logos at the beginning?
Good work!
