2:30 It's more logical, because on the Hammond all organ has the same rotary. Bohm had another solution, phasing for organ and extra ensemble for strings and pads.
Wow, wow, WOW! Daan, what an absolute treat to hear (and watch!) you play! The best arrangement of David Rose's "Holiday for Strings" I've heard! I don't have a Helios to upgrade, but I would watch your technical videos all day just to listen to your music -- magical!
Hello Daan, I don't know whether your technical explanations make perfect sence or not. - I simply missed them. My eyes and ears were completely caught by the right side of the screen! Man, you could easily write down the craziest stuff from hell as long as you keep cutting in such wonderful performances of yours in your videos! That is such a beautifull piece, and for me it feels like a wonderful tribute to Klaus Wunderlich's "Hammond Concerto" LP wich the master played somewhere during the seventies. I grew up with such music. And THIS made my day and gave me a decent smile on my face and in my heart! Thank you for sharing this precious treasure with us! - And I think the modification steps on the organ will be ok aswell! 😎😁 Many greetings from germany Michael
Have been a Wersi fan since they opened up their US showroom in Lancaster PA in the late 1970's. Not really into the technical stuff, above my paygrade, but your entire presentation was educational and entertaining at the same time. Thanks for your effort.
Hi Daan, Thank you for doing this video. I look forward to updating my Helios, I have the parts, and regaining my interest in it, as I have been focusing on playing my CD line organs. Take care, Jack
I love to listen to this sound , a great pleasure to listen , it reminds me of the sounds of Klaus Wunderlich , I don't have an organ but I love to listen thank you very much , greetings from France👍👍👍
I would love to do that. I have 3 Helios so hopefully I can use one if the spare WersiVoice boards to achieve the same result as you. Thanks for posting this.
Thank you for this video! Unfortunately I don't have a Helios (I had a Cosmos, almost upgraded to a Helios). Your music is also very successful! Best regards Klaus
Hi Daan, wonderful sound and playing you have have here, I have recently acquired a Helios and am sorting it out as I go but I am so impressed by the sounds that you produce, would it be cheeky to ask you for some registration info. Thanks again. Colin. Brilliant.
Thank you Colin! Knowing some registrations will really help to get the organ to sound even better. EF2 Saxophone: Upper manual soft attack, all 16' stops, Horn 8', Nasat 2 2/3', delayed vibrato 2+3, Brass, Jiff EF2 Panflute: Upper manual soft attack, flute 8' or 4', delayed vibrato 2+3, jiff, manual wahwah, wah limiter I hope this is of some help!
@@Thedaanvo Thanks for your help Daan I've been trying some of these sounds tonight and they are good but I have a bit of a distortion problem with the effects board (EF2) at the moment so will have to investigate that, I want that percussive drawbar sound that you get which I think is brilliant. I got this organ already equipped with lower manual piano, AOC,Midi, auto arpeggios and digital reverb, it also has an extra mains transformer and power supply board fitted which is very useful as I have a spare Wersivoice board to fit when I get time. Please keep the videos going. Thanks again. Colin.
@@Thedaanvo Hi Daan, could you just clarify the bit in your instructions about the ground wire from the power supply, do you mean use screened cable and just connect the screening to the centre core at the WV end ?
Hi Daan, could you just clarify the bit in your instructions about the ground wire from the power supply, do you mean use screened cable and just connect the screening to the centre core at the WV end ?
Hi Colin, the ground wire does not need to be screened, but the sound in and output wires should be. The screening around the output wire must be connected to the ground wire next to it. I hope that makes it clear!
Hi Daan, sorry to pester you again, my Helios has the lower manual piano fitted with the output goint to E8 on plug 3 of the VV2 board, can I use E9 instead ? Thanks again.
Hi Colin, no problem, and nice to have that piano! Yes, E9 should work fine - but you'll have to move the wire on plug 4 from pin 7 to pin 9 as well for it to make a sound. It's a stereo amp with 2 identical amps, it only needs to be done on the right side. The plugs on the left can stay where they are!
Hi, does this organ have all the sounds that a Wersi CX1 drum machine keyboard has as well as its own organ sounds, or is it just the CX1 drum sounds ? Thanks

Thats one hell of a great sound Dan - Well done on the upgrade - sounds awesome.
Awesome playing and WERSI Helios organ sounds

Very good 👍
I like the sound of organ music when the organist plays with 10 fingers, not just one. Good organists include Wunderlicht, Prima, and Lambert

Just the drum sounds in this case - although it would be a fun experiment to try and make the CX-1 instruments playable from the keys and pedals!
