Hello Tine, nice presentation! The machine is not bad, but only the brand is from Austria. Bernardo doesn't build anything himself, it's purely a sales company. The machines are primarily manufactured in China, some in Bulgaria.
@@Neue-Werkstatt-BM thanks for info, i assume because of branded electrical component, it is a good machine but need to replace every single semering and o ring, to stop leakage the oil, because of saving few cents on o ring wich is cheap and got visible molded line in the middle 🙈😅

Very nice presentation of what looks like a nice lathe, I have a smaller version, the HBM 250G which is slightly smaller at 250x500, I've had it about 6 years with only 1 slight problem, the lever used to set automatic cross/length feed was loose from new and will not stay tight for long, a minor hitch that can easily be fixed. I went with the geared version as the variable speed one was having lots of problems with the variable motor and control when they first came out, never regretted the choice so far other than maybe a slightly bigger one but they were not available at the time. I'm sure you will find the difference with the upgrade, hope you enjoy it.
If you take off the leadscrew cover, you will likely see a keyway the length of the leadscrew. There will be a gear that rides on the leadscrew, in the apron, that powers the power feed. Sure looks like a great little lathe.
exactly i notice that right after unbox, but separate feed rod is great because usual there come clotch on so we can set limit and avto feed will stop after reach it, i think here on that lathe motor belt is the only "clotch"
How was the weight after you had removed everything? How many people did you have helping you carry? I have just purchased the same lathe and need to get it into an awkward location once it arrives
