Which I'm pretty sure was the intention given how intentionally rare and late game Glimmora was made to be and how it could easily be confused with a grass type, a psychic type or even a dark type. Basically, the intention was for players to not be sure about its type when seeing it for the first time, forcing them to switch pokemon and that way activate the ability.
Nice team changes for Paldea. They really fit the gym leaders, elite four and champion. I would like to see you do new teams for all of the player characters and do what if scenarios such as What if Paul never released Chimchar and What if Msty continued traveling with Ash.

Maybe try sticking to only what’s available next time? Or at least say something like “if I wasn’t limited to just the available Pokémon”.
One thing I’d change is switching Cyclizar for something else for either Nemona or Hassel. Since that would be 3 trainers in row where 2 of them have a Cyclizar
One thing I'd like to add is that Katy should DEFINETLY have Fidough or Dachsbun. The bread dogs don't belong to the baker?? And Dachsbuns ability would make it immune to fire types! Of course, that would work better if the gym levels scaled, but you see my idea, right? Also, I'd switch the starter choices for Nemona and Clavell, but that's just me! I like the gym changes the most.

I disagree with removing baxcalibur to hassel. I would have just give geeta Tyranitar instead since there's no champion who has used it in their team except blue/gary but he's gym leader when he has a tyranitar. And make kingambit as her tera ace.
Not a fan of that Salvatore team, just because he's the language teacher doesn't mean he should only have regional variants, and it would make more sense to give him pokemon from many different regions rather than just three. To be fair, the big issue is the same issue I have with his canon team. There's honestly no reason for him to not have Pawmot, his subplot revolves around that quiet Pawmi, so him evolving and including it on his team makes sense. Making it his ace(and electric tera type) could make him a legitimate threat: As I understand it, Double Shock doesn't get rid of a terastalized pokemon's type, although I haven't really used Pawmot to test that out. I also don't think Gholdengo should be given to any trainers. It's a special pokemon, and I would argue that its existence should be kept a secret to preserve the mystery that gamefreak so carefully set up. With Ryme, Sableye seems like a much better option, showing her connection to Tyme as well as more subtly nodding towards the idea of wealth due to Sableye's connection to gems. With Nemona, you could honestly give her anything else, but I'd personally give her back Lycanroc, but either make it a Dusk Lycanroc(which would be a nice little nod to Penny's joke about Nemona's ability being Own Tempo), or make the form she uses dependent either on version or the time of day she's fought.
What about giving Gholdengo to Geeta? She seems like the high-class rich person type to me, given her position as chairwoman of the league and the academy, and would be the type to own a business of some sorts. Plus, she’s really got this mysterious aura around her that I can’t put my finger on it.

It always bothered me how Nemona has a Midday lycanroc instead of a Dusk form since she seems like the kind of person that would know how to get one and how good it is. I like your Larry Revamp team although I'd make his lead TalonFlame since him being a Flying type in the E4 was a psych moment.
I disagree with Poppy's team. It's fine as is, and Tinkaton as her main is just perfect. For Geeta, it's already a massive step up, though I feel maybe she should have Gholdengo instead of Garganacl since some Champions have that one rare, hard-to-get Pokémon on their team. And depending on the version, she'll have either Armarouge or Ceruledge, to keep things a little fun.
Just realized with these new teams, specifically Nemona and Clavell, it implies the protagonist chose Quaxly and switched which character has the Starter good against yours
I definitely agree that many teams of Paldean trainers could be better, and you did have some good ideas, buuuut... yeah, I would remove every Pokémon that is actually not in the games from these teams. You can improve them even without resorting to such desperate measures.
1:06 Having a starter pokemon in a gym battle is just weird Edit: 2:02 Ok not again Double Edit: 5:01 and again (2:22 that symbols not psychic. Just saying)
Is Glimmora actually worthy of an ace? IMO, it IS. In OU, it's usage is higher than most pseudolegendaries (except Dragonite and Dragapult) and even though Kingambit's usage is higher, I'm pretty sure it will be overall lower than Glimmora if we consider unterrastralised forms. Plus, it's not just that the ace of a Champion has to be sent last. Let us not forget that N immediately led with his strongest Pokémon in Team Plasma Castle. Geeta can do the same and that'd do with me. Also, Geeta's design makes me think that she was based on a Glimmora, perhaps even more than shiny Kingambit. Finally, given how often Geeta says how Paldea holds quite the significance for her, and given that Glimmora's petals being one of the key ingredients of TM for Tera Blast (going by the Dex entry), which is the phenomenon representing her region, it makes sense why her ace is a Glimmora.
Despite all the controversy surrounding Geeta, I still kind of like her, or at least tolerate her for what she is. Same goes for Diantha, they just need a little more adjustments and fixes to their teams and narrative. Or maybe I’m just getting tired from the likes of Cynthia this, and Cynthia that. I guess I’m drawn towards less approved and less popular characters of Pokemon these days. I’m just looking things outside the box and thought up some headcanons and ideas that could be used in a fanfiction retelling of sorts that could be engaging.
@@ryanaing5302 I do like Cynthia, but I have to admit that I hate it when a character's fans undermine or sometimes completely suppress a character, like Geeta in this case. What kind of fanfiction are you thinking about her?
I would have given Geeta these Pokemon: Glimmora - For set up (Toxic spikes; stealth rock, ect.) Palafin - A Hero Pokemon fits the champion Maushold (Family of 3) - Using a rare form of a pokemon Rabsca - Using the new move Revival Blessing to bring back a defeated Pokemon; as well as for Light Screen; Reflect; ect. Gholdengo - A strong Pokemon that's not easy to get and No one else is using it in the game Kingambit - for obvious reasons
9:28 except that kingambit has a base speed of 50 and geeta's doesn't have a priority move meaning that a strong fast fighting type could end it's life
Zack i love your content but dude if i were in your place I would let braccius keep smoliv Give penny a rotation of eveelutions she didn't use that being espeon and glaceon And finally i would replace greedent and cloyster with dandozo and snorlax
For my idea of Geeta team, she leads with glimora to set up toxic spikes, replace valuza with palafan, and make king gamit her ace with a dark Tera type
I think Glimmet for Atticus shouldn't be done. While glimmet can be found outside of Area Zero, the game specifiaclly mentions the Glimmora line's connection to Area Zero and about Geeta using it. So I think the glimmora line shouldn't be given to any trainer other than Geeta Everything else was great
I am one of the very few people who love Meowscarada, I seriously don't get the hate, also Camerupt isn't lame it has a special place in my heart as Numel was my first ever shiny, Most of these pokémon aren't even in Paldea Zac so they won't work, I was expecting you to change them with pokémon from Paldean, Geeta definitely should have started with Glimmora definitely so it can set up toxic spikes, then if she had a pokémon set up trick room just before she sends out Kingambit then that would be devastating, imagine if she sent out Espartha second to last set up trick room and then in comes Kingambit with its Supreme Overlord plus 5 in attack and special attack, it will do major damage, also give it the ghost tera type
5:31 this team is good but if we are going to have ghost types for that part of spanish history to show the dark side of it you might as well give her aloalian marowak for even darker reasons
I would dispute your pick for the school nurse team. Her team is perfect as they are common fears of nurse's offices. It's funnier that the nurse is a poison specialist as opposed to the Joys. Hassel should have a Dragonite due to being a dragon user without an edge( yes even Iris has a bit of an edge). It fits as he should be approachable and it's funny how Dragonite is the easiest dragon to draw for Pokemon.
I have a confession: I’m great with most of the teams. But Isn’t it weird that the Pokémon the Gym Leaders Treastalize (Their Aces) are not Pokémon from their Home Region?(New Paldea Pokémon) You even gave them to the elite 4.
I have my own idea for a new team for geeta she would lead with palafin and immediately use flip turn then would be glimora for toxic spikes then Garganacl for stalling then either Rabsca or Pawmot for revival blessing then Ceruledge for fire type coverage then finally Kinggambit as her ace for supreme overlord
My new team for Geeta (lead to ace) 1. Glimmora 2. Palafin 3. Arboliva 4. Armorouge or Ceruledge (depending on the version) 5. Baxcalibur 6. Kingambit (ace)
Everyone in the comments talking about how Zac put in Pokemon not from Paldea... you all must have not watched the other New Teams videos. He has literally never limited the teams to just what's in the Regional Pokedexes.
So in theory, if Clavell has Skeledirge, and Nemoma has Meowscarada, then the player would end up with Quaquaval. And you know what? I'm perfectly fine with that.
Take a look at Johto, as well, and especially Lance. Freaking three Dragonite just makes his team just boring even though it’s supposed to be challenging.
I actually remade nemona's team Palafin (Tera type would be either Dark, Fighting, or ghost; Pending which type beats your starter) Pawmot Staraptor Cyclizar Gholdengo Lycanroc (Dusk form cuz I feel that nemona would be a try hard and look for one lol)
Doesn’t anyone find it weird that Paldea is the only region that allows anyone UNDER 10 to have a Pokémon while the other regions actually have safety precautions. THEY EVEN LET A TODDLER BECOME AN ELITE FOUR
I personally think that Meowscarada is the starter that fits Clavell the best - the Paldea starters represent the triple threats (singing, acting and dancing) and since he uses his alter ego Clive to get closer to Team Star I don’t think it’s a stretch to assume he’d gravitate towards the acting one of the three. Plus Meowscarada kinda looks like it has a calm and logical demeanour like Clavell himself. Similarly, I’d give Nemona Skeledirge since it looks the most ready for a battle so the player gets Quaquaval by default I guess..
Nah hard disagree Quaquavel is clavels ace Also meowscarada isn’t a dancer it’s a magician Yet another reason to call them Morgana (since he’s 5’s magician confidant and all)
Some Pokemon don’t even reside in paldea like hardier and ariados and pangoro and mienshao and comfey and audino and cofagrigus and leavanny and alcremie and exeggutor and weezing and barbaracle and drampa and flygon and golurk and (sadly) lapras

It always bothered me how Nemona has a Midday lycanroc instead of a Dusk form since she seems like the kind of person that would know how to get one and how good it is. I like your Larry Revamp team although I'd make his lead TalonFlame since him being a Flying type in the E4 was a psych moment.
Though she’s canonically terrible at capturing so the rareness of own tempo could be why
This video would technically need to be updated since the dlc came out
7:58 I’m kinda surprised you didn’t use Driftblim as Poppys Tera Pokémon
I disagree with Poppy's team. It's fine as is, and Tinkaton as her main is just perfect.
For Geeta, it's already a massive step up, though I feel maybe she should have Gholdengo instead of Garganacl since some Champions have that one rare, hard-to-get Pokémon on their team. And depending on the version, she'll have either Armarouge or Ceruledge, to keep things a little fun.
This was very sick! I’m happy with these teams!
don't give the gym leader starters it doesn't make sense other than floragato but its doesn't fit tbh
Just realized with these new teams, specifically Nemona and Clavell, it implies the protagonist chose Quaxly and switched which character has the Starter good against yours
Oh my goodness, this was a masterpiece! Honestly the team choices were amazing
Larry has all those tropical flying pokemon because he needs a vacation
I definitely agree that many teams of Paldean trainers could be better, and you did have some good ideas, buuuut... yeah, I would remove every Pokémon that is actually not in the games from these teams. You can improve them even without resorting to such desperate measures.
1:06 Having a starter pokemon in a gym battle is just weird
Edit: 2:02 Ok not again
Double Edit: 5:01 and again
(2:22 that symbols not psychic. Just saying)
ikr
You accidentally Put ghost terra florges
WE DON'T USE THE WORD ITS AS A PRONOUN IF THERE'S AN APOSTROPHE IN IT!
2:23 ah yes the GHOST tera florges
Mistake tulip florges has the ghost Tera icon
That was NOT the Ghost tera icon, that was the Pscychic tera icon!
Tyme would've also had a Dusk Lycanroc since its also another form of it.
I would have given Geeta these Pokemon:
Glimmora - For set up (Toxic spikes; stealth rock, ect.)
Palafin - A Hero Pokemon fits the champion
Maushold (Family of 3) - Using a rare form of a pokemon
Rabsca - Using the new move Revival Blessing to bring back a defeated Pokemon; as well as for Light Screen; Reflect; ect.
Gholdengo - A strong Pokemon that's not easy to get and No one else is using it in the game
Kingambit - for obvious reasons
I feel like this whole video exists because Geeta fk'd it up for everyone.
9:28 except that kingambit has a base speed of 50 and geeta's doesn't have a priority move meaning that a strong fast fighting type could end it's life
Miriam's team is supposed to represent different kinds of medicinal practices.
Alot of people say geeta looks like glimmora but she looks more like kingambit with her hair looking like his chair helment
Zack i love your content but dude if i were in your place
I would let braccius keep smoliv
Give penny a rotation of eveelutions she didn't use that being espeon and glaceon
And finally i would replace greedent and cloyster with dandozo and snorlax
The DLC came out, and your team for Geeta aged like fine wine.
These are very good teams well done man 👏🏻
6:34 Zac, did you just make a subtle reference to Vecna there with the grandfather clock?
T posing Segauro go brrrrrrr
For my idea of Geeta team, she leads with glimora to set up toxic spikes, replace valuza with palafan, and make king gamit her ace with a dark Tera type
I think Glimmet for Atticus shouldn't be done. While glimmet can be found outside of Area Zero, the game specifiaclly mentions the Glimmora line's connection to Area Zero and about Geeta using it. So I think the glimmora line shouldn't be given to any trainer other than Geeta
Everything else was great
I am one of the very few people who love Meowscarada, I seriously don't get the hate, also Camerupt isn't lame it has a special place in my heart as Numel was my first ever shiny,
Most of these pokémon aren't even in Paldea Zac so they won't work, I was expecting you to change them with pokémon from Paldean,
Geeta definitely should have started with Glimmora definitely so it can set up toxic spikes, then if she had a pokémon set up trick room just before she sends out Kingambit then that would be devastating, imagine if she sent out Espartha second to last set up trick room and then in comes Kingambit with its Supreme Overlord plus 5 in attack and special attack, it will do major damage, also give it the ghost tera type
@JesterPaws
I think it's a cool a magical cat,
@JesterPaws
Mine is Torterra
@JesterPaws
I love All the Grass Starters except the Meganium line
I love Meowscarada too
@@matchapaws8193 Meowscarada and Cinderace are two of my favorite Starters. I'm not a fan of Incineroar, though.
Mistake at 2:23
It's supposed to be the psychic tera symbol but it's the ghost symbol instead
5:31 this team is good but if we are going to have ghost types for that part of spanish history to show the dark side of it you might as well give her aloalian marowak for even darker reasons
okay but that thumbnail tho 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@lumiosetrainerZac how did you get background less versions of the vikworks art
I would dispute your pick for the school nurse team. Her team is perfect as they are common fears of nurse's offices. It's funnier that the nurse is a poison specialist as opposed to the Joys. Hassel should have a Dragonite due to being a dragon user without an edge( yes even Iris has a bit of an edge). It fits as he should be approachable and it's funny how Dragonite is the easiest dragon to draw for Pokemon.
This is cool as usual
Are you planning on making new teams for the Teal Mask/Indigo Disk characters?
Teams I'd change:
*Rika:* Whiscash, Camerupt, Toedscruel, Clodsire and Gogoat - Tera Ground.
*Poppy:* Copperajah, Togedemaru, Orthworm, Tinkaton and Dachsbun - Tera Steel.
*Larry:* Tropius, Staraptor, Oricorio Sensu, Flamigo and Dudunsparce - Tera Flying (excellent idea)
*Hassel:* Altaria, Flapple, Dragalge, Baxcalibur and Skeledirge - Tera Dragon
*Geeta:* Glimmora, Arboliva, Blazimg Tauros, Palafin, Gholdengo, and Kingambit - Tera Ghost.
*Nemona:* Lycanroc, Pawmot, Orthworm, Dudunsparce, Combat Tauros and Quaquaval.
I have a confession:
I’m great with most of the teams. But Isn’t it weird that the Pokémon the Gym Leaders Treastalize (Their Aces) are not Pokémon from their Home Region?(New Paldea Pokémon) You even gave them to the elite 4.
I have my own idea for a new team for geeta
she would lead with palafin and immediately use flip turn
then would be glimora for toxic spikes
then Garganacl for stalling
then either Rabsca or Pawmot for revival blessing
then Ceruledge for fire type coverage
then finally Kinggambit as her ace for supreme overlord
My new team for Geeta (lead to ace)
1. Glimmora
2. Palafin
3. Arboliva
4. Armorouge or Ceruledge (depending on the version)
5. Baxcalibur
6. Kingambit (ace)
Everyone in the comments talking about how Zac put in Pokemon not from Paldea... you all must have not watched the other New Teams videos. He has literally never limited the teams to just what's in the Regional Pokedexes.
Finally. Paldean Trainers finally feel like they live in Paldea
Wdym? Even in the main game they all use pokemon available in Paldea
But apart from like one significant mon, they just rehash random Pokémon
7:03 I think quaxly fits more given clieves whole style
So in theory, if Clavell has Skeledirge, and Nemoma has Meowscarada, then the player would end up with Quaquaval. And you know what? I'm perfectly fine with that.
Thank you. Scarlet and Violet have A LOT of trainers who have underepresentation for Paldea Pokemon.
Take a look at Johto, as well, and especially Lance. Freaking three Dragonite just makes his team just boring even though it’s supposed to be challenging.
I actually remade nemona's team
Palafin (Tera type would be either Dark, Fighting, or ghost; Pending which type beats your starter)
Pawmot
Staraptor
Cyclizar
Gholdengo
Lycanroc (Dusk form cuz I feel that nemona would be a try hard and look for one lol)
9:35 Imagine that being her actual *Real* team
Bro the meowscarada hate. I will never understand it. Imagine hating such a clean design.
I appreciate that Larry (the GOATGOAT) gets extra voice effects.
Absolutely LOVE Larry with Tera flying dudunsparce!
Brooooo. Friggin glad someone actually did this
*•My Team for Geeta:*
-Kingambit: [♂️]
-Armarouge: [♂️]
-Salamance. [♂️]
-Espeon: [♀️]
-Glimmora: [♂️]
-Esparthra: [♀️]
*•My Team for Nemona:*
-Pawmot: [♀️]
-Meowscarada: [♂️]
-Dragonite: [♂️]
-Gholdengo: [-]
-Paldean Tauros: [♂️] (Normal/Water)
-Cyclizar: [♀️]
Honestly most of these teams would totally work for a hard mode of s/v (i wish we had one)
I thought Eris team was already good and pretty challenging as it can one or two shot you
2:22 *Psychic tera type; you put the Ghost one.
Yeah i saw that too, lol
2:23
“Psychic Florges”
Bruh, that’s the ghost type symbol
Coming back here, I'm expecting Zac make to make an update on this video once the dlc for the indigo disk comes out.
Doesn’t anyone find it weird that Paldea is the only region that allows anyone UNDER 10 to have a Pokémon while the other regions actually have safety precautions. THEY EVEN LET A TODDLER BECOME AN ELITE FOUR
Eh, a lot of kids younger than 10 have pokemon in the previous games. In unova you can battle kids in kindergarten, so it ain't that unusual.
When he said Larry he became the Smash Bros announcer
I personally think that Meowscarada is the starter that fits Clavell the best - the Paldea starters represent the triple threats (singing, acting and dancing) and since he uses his alter ego Clive to get closer to Team Star I don’t think it’s a stretch to assume he’d gravitate towards the acting one of the three. Plus Meowscarada kinda looks like it has a calm and logical demeanour like Clavell himself. Similarly, I’d give Nemona Skeledirge since it looks the most ready for a battle so the player gets Quaquaval by default I guess..
Nah hard disagree
Quaquavel is clavels ace
Also meowscarada isn’t a dancer it’s a magician
Yet another reason to call them Morgana (since he’s 5’s magician confidant and all)
@@jmurray1110 The OG was referring to Quaquaval as the dancer.
Some Pokemon don’t even reside in paldea like hardier and ariados and pangoro and mienshao and comfey and audino and cofagrigus and leavanny and alcremie and exeggutor and weezing and barbaracle and drampa and flygon and golurk and (sadly) lapras
With clavell having fuecocoa and nemona having moewscarada, I guess all that left for the protagonist is quaxly.
My ideal Geeta team:
-Palafin
-Glimmora
-Armarouge/Ceruledge (Depends on which version you play)
-Baxcalibur
-Rabsca
-Kingambit
I feel like Cacnea/Cacturne would work well for Brassius as well.
