I have a 2017 ltz driver window will go down but not up the big red wire war broke fixed it the window did not work at all till i fixed the wire any idea
It did, thank you. In addition to the window not working, the computer wouldn’t recognize that the door was shut, forcing the dome light to stay on unless I used the override switch.
@Cooligan69 that green wire is a Lin Bus wire between the door module and the BCM. You would have had a code in tge BCM for loss of communication with door module.
In my opinion the scanner and codes provides direction. The network code confirmed my suspicion of an open Lin Bus wire. If the visual inspection had not turned up anything the a multimeter could be used to measure the Lin Bus voltage. An ohm meter could be used to measure contuity of wires etc.
The only "extra" thing I really did was a network scan. As I said he had multiple concerns. Right rear door not responding and air bag warning light on. Took me 5 to 10 minutes to do that before I looked at the door harness.
Man .. thank u ... my dad's truck ... wires broken .. inside of harness ..crazy he doesn't even use the back doors nor back windows ...
When there is one broken wire….Lol. Good job Phillip.
I saved the old harness and I might fix it for future use. When I'm bored...
Thank you for your time
Same here.mine was heavy black wire.

I'm not sure whatbyoure asking...
Same exact wire broke on my Sierra, but right at where the zip tie is. Removed zip tie, patched the wire, good to go.
Glad it helped you

Would it have been possible to just use an voltmeter to find that a little easier?

U Genius. Thank you
common issue for those wires to break where they flex as open and close door especially with the thickness of wires in todays world!
I’m just gonna buy a new one not worth trying to fix the old wire harness it will break again
I agree.

This guy makes to much work for him self first thing is to always check the wiring first he would have been done way early !!!!
