Hi there, We recently had our garage done with EPDM rubber membrane. We live in a detached property which is connect garage to garage with next door. In other words the two garage roofs are connect as one. Now to the problem I have encountered. The garage roofs are serviced by a single outlet drain (quite narrow), which goes down internally at the rear of the garage roofs in the center. (behind brickwork). That means that the outlet gets overwhelmed in heavy rain and is prone to blocking several times a year with leaves and debris. Creating a nice swimming pool which I have to manually fix. So what I thought was introduce a second drainage point at the front of the flat roofs going internally down through my garage and thus avoiding creating a swimming pool. So my question to you is - how easy is it to puncture through the EPDM and fit a new draining point without compromising the integrity of the roof and voiding my warranty. Many thanks Brian
Hi need help. Is OSB wood or structural Plywood better suited for a summer house roof (7m x 4m)? I see everyone is using OSB, but my handy man recommends structural plywood but it is about £150 - £200 more. I'll also be covering the roof with EPDM rubber membrane (classic bond).

Hello! I've been quoted $22k for residential flat roof replacement for 2300 sq.ft. All the roofing companies in SoCal are saying that TU-35 POLYFRESCO G by POLYGLASS is what they will use. Could you tell me if this is a fair price? Another roofing company quoted the same job at $16k and I'm curious why they are so different in their quotes. Thank you!
Actually enjoyed the comparison it gave me the awnsers I needed
Glad you found the video helpful!
This was a decent video. Thanks guys.
Classic bond. What type of shrinkage is likely?

OSB 18mm is fine, give it a light sand to give a key first. He is a handyman for that reason i'm afraid . Im a Firestone EPDM authorised installer :)
