Greyhound has been cutting a lot of corners in the past 20 years, first by eliminating many small town stops and then closing terminals except in the largest cities. This same thing happened in Knoxville TN about 9 months ago when Greyhound closed it's full facilities terminal and started dropping off passengers at a gas station in a bad area of town. Cutting corners is one thing but jeopardizing passengers personal safety is a whole different matter.
Ft Worth and Dallas are 2 cities that Flix has stops just for Flix and Greyhound terminal for Greyhound. the 2 divisions have stops a few blocks from each other. In ft Worth the outdoor waiting near a hotel is also used for a luxury bus company. That stop is designated by the City of Ft Worth as a intercity bus stop. In Dallas. Flix uses the same stop as Megabus.

It's because they got bought out by Flixbus. Flixbus doesn't use stations, they only use bus stops along sides of streets and transit center lots.
