She seems so humble, and even a bit bashful, which is adorable. She's been one of my favorites for quite a while, glad to see her doing well
Me, too. I usually get to see the roles when she's one of the stars( like Undercovers, Belle, Beyond the Lights, or Concussion, Wrinkle in Time), but she does a lot of small roles in big movies that I wouldn't usually choose to watch (Loki, The Morning Show, Black Mirror, Jupiter Ascending) . I find out later that she was in it, then I have to try and play catch up see her.
Trevor had to say her full South African name because probably no one in the US or UK ever says it in full or know what it means. In Cape Town there's even a township named Gugulethu 😊😅. She truly is Gugulethu.

I think this is the best interview I've seen on the daily show. Specifically it covers a ton of acting, award, and international topics in such a short time. And doesn't lack explicit detail. As much as I still prefer behind the scenes sessions, I'm ecstatic with this quality of interview.

I've always been amazed how British actors can do American accents so well. But the opposite isn't true.
I think they grow up with American media unlike us
I think the reason is twofold 1) exposure, more brits are exposed to American media than vice versa. 2) desire; more British actors put bigger pressure on themselves to deliver the American accent than an American actor is likely to. Besides if an American actor does a New Zealand or Australian or even a South African accent and calls it British, chances are most Americans won't even notice :)
One reason, America has a stronger cultural influence.

Jodie Turner-Smith, Ariana DeBose, Halle Berry, Thuso Mbedu, Thandiwe Newton, to name a few.

I remember seeing her as judge Renslayer who I then found out is also a princess in the comics and since Marvel is owned by Disney You could argue a Disney princess. But also I did see Beyond the Lights while I was at the barbershop one day and I really like how it really portrayed the ups and downs of celebrity life and how navigating it is not really that easy whether it's going through some kind of harassment or constant Paparazzi showing up or some form of manipulation it was definitely executed correctly

If not mistaken she did a weekly television show with Boris Kodjoe they were a married couple that happened to be undercover agents of some sort. Don't recall the name of the show but unfortunately I think it only had one season however they made a stunning couple while working together don't recall any of the other supporting actors.
