Felix accidentally stumbling on some basic fact like butter doesn’t have to be refrigerated makes listening to the back catalog worth it

Just watched this pile of shit. Easily the best scene is sort of a throwaway at the end after they learn the dersh has pulled it off and won the appeal: Claus immediately takes him into the next room to introduce him to his granddaughter 👁️

i’m so happy that you’re talking about a film that I’ve seen, and seen a-gain...less impressive that second time.

    *starts Chapo youtube video*
*Lowers volume to about 25% of where I had it so I could hear what Matt's saying in his segment*

The Idi Amin documentary is well worth the watch. Amin's "command" of a mock assault on the Golan Heights is especially entertaining.

Yes, you have to hear how convincingly Jeremy Irons uttered the words, “Sunny detested Doctors.”

i only have one comment about this film: Sunny Von Bulow is practically ‘undrawn’ as a character, everyone else in the film, you understand who they are (essentially)…whereas she, and i mean in her scenes: is kind of unclear. it’s strange, i didn’t notice it until the second viewing.

They have her narrate at the beginning as a cheeky, charming fairy-tale like voice. I don't know if that is anything like how she really was, but judging by the rest of the movie, they weren't very concerned with portraying anyone how they actually were.

This is also a British disease; my mother only ever uses cold butter and waits for it to melt on the toast…

I had to stop it over...ah, ah, the butter wars...having lived in the Caribbean and England...and gown up in the shitty old margarine suburbs.🤣

This is a bad movie disguised as a good movie. The audience for the Von Bulow stuff is really only New York High society at the time, and the only audience for the Dershowitz stuff is really nobody, although Dersh clearly wants everybody to see it. As entertainment, it meanders too much, like one of those HBO docudramas about financial scams. The only entertaining thing about it is watching it's missteps, and the only truly notable thing about it is the blatant absurdity of how it portrays Dershowitz as this angry, uncompromising force of nature (with a full head of hair) who wins the day by constantly haranguing people and then those people loving him all the more for it.

the most important thing about this episode is that people should watch Terror's Advocate, great documentary.

Weird, I was about to watch this film and was wondering if this was a true story since it mentioned Alan.

i get it' but...unless they dedicare themselves to offing other rich people like the ultimate late-stage capitalist Patrick Bateman, then I would rather they rot in jail AFTER theyve maxed out on wealthy corpses.
