87-89 were the best years of my life, and I didn't even realise it at the time. First year out of high school, first car, first girlfriend, first job, first credit card, and the clothes! Fifty-five years old now & still grooving, maybe even grieving, for those days!
Climie Fisher sure brings back some awesome memories for me. I was 25 years of age and on my big O.E. (overseas experience) from here in New Zealand to London where I first heard this group and this song (1988). It was a very catchy tune though I particularly loved the lyrics. Little was I to know that in 1990 I would have my near death motorcycle accident that would result in me becoming a hemipelvectomy (left leg amputee at the highest level hip and pelvis). I really did bleed for romance!
What a tooooooon! Remember this track oh so well from the latter part of 1988. Very competent group who seemed to effortlessly churn out great pop songs. Shame that 'It's Not Supposed To Be This Way' hasn't found itself on the Toob yet. One of the stand-out tracks of the 90's has to be Simon's 'Soul Inspiration', (the original version, not the danced-up mix!). Thanx 4 posting this gem!
What a wonderful compilation of words, music and pure talent. We don’t have much of these qualities nowadays. This was the best era, ever.
Ahh this was the era of 1987 to 89. Remember it well. Happy days.
