SP2000T is the first high-end DAP I have tried. I remember being all smug with my newly bought Topping G5, thinking that nothing else can top that, since I only listen to IEM. The local hi-fi store handed me the SP2000T and I was brought down to earth immediately. The UI and overall performance of SP2000T was quite poor though, especially with Tidal. Though, if I buy another DAP, I'll would probably go for a DAC/amp like FiiO Q7 or Shanling H7 instead. Preferably something with replaceable battery. These DAPs would become e-waste within a few years due to the Android problem and the battery.
My endgame system for iem just: Fiio Q5S TC + Xduoo MT604.. Yup dual akm 4493 thats in RME adi2 and dual THX aaa for delta sigma amp then hooked it up to class A 4 pentodes amp.. Peace!
@@masterazlan6999 a real amp is all you need to get the most out of IEM, tbh. After sorting out the amp, it's time to find just the right DAC. Kickass setup you have there. Enjoy!
Can I ask why is your ranking list totally different from the review scores? Like Fiio FF5 gets 5+5+4.5+4 and 4.5 overall, and then in the doc it's all 4?
Good question. The reason is I have done a re-ranking of all items in the list due to tightening up my criteria. I figure that since I don't have that many items on the list, I should rerank them early before the list grows too large. For instance, the FF5. - Tonality drops because I've finally built stricter rubrics (as you know, you cannot A/B tests to rate tonality). Under the new rubric, I don't feel FF5 "outstanding" in tonality anymore. - Resolution score drops mostly because U12T has been introduced, which pushes the Andromeda and all other IEMs that were rated against the Andromeda down. - Bass drops because I have also tightened up the rubric and no prefer not to give 0.5 score unless an IEM is truely special. - Soundstage should remain 4/5.
Its not. Boomy and unnuanced sound compared to P6 Pro. P6 Pro rivals desktops dacs up to Holo May. Its probably the most texturally rich dap on the market alongside with Lp6, there is not much that comes close. You need a totl pair of IEMs or very good HPs to hear what this device is capable of though.
In the advanced settings, what would be the advantage a long usb delay?
I couldn't hear any difference in sound quality. I guess there would be a reason why they chose long delay as a default option.
Must be nice having a DAP you can hold without a case on.

RS8 can do gapless playback. RS8 is automatically better :))
