Miigwetch for sharing this video. It gives the people some insight with what we do in preserving, respecting and restoring life. I am of the Sacred Society and NO it's not JUST for CERTAIN people, it was brought to the Human Race for ALL. OUR Own People need to go further back into History to see what was to be today. One day we all will, it is prophecy that we are on the last ONE road to TRY UNITE the Human People back to the One Nation where it Started........Far In the Heavens. Much Love.

Fear, pain, purification, deception and truth all seem to run together at times.... Knowing not just thinking helps with healing our spirit for the short time we are humans.... Thank you

Beautiful. Knowledge is within the head. Wisdom, from the Heart. Feel these Wise words from our Indigenous Brothers and Sisters, the Keepers of our True and Ancient history. It is time to heal the divisions of Humanity. It is Time.

Migwetch for sharing. I know it took a bit of courage and love to post this and I appreciate your sharing for people who are respectful in learning. The Mide is the oldest spiritual path in the Great Lakes.

A person can only learn if they have the ears to hear and the heart to understand.
Teachings are shared when there is a mutual respect of each others lineage.
Respect to those who respect a good intention.

I am Dakota and been learning a lot of the Ikce (common man or woman) way of life. I moved down to Sisseton South Dakota and thought maybe he was from around the area. My Dad is from Minnesota. Interested in learning more from that side of my family.

There is a facebook group that has been started called "Who Am I" that strives to re-unite every Native American/Indian person who wants to be re-united with their family of origin. (They also help Canadians now.) I know this is an older post, but I hope that you see this message. Also, the "ancestry" website is often free if you access it from the library, and you may be able to find your parents' information from records on that website.

Boozhoo to all, I was just wondering if Mr. Richard Morrison was a part of, or a member/teacher of, the 3 Fires that Eddi Benton oversees. Does anyone know?

I personally think that there has been enough hatred and disrespect focussed on the original peoples of Turtle Island. John Trudel said in a poem, "
They lie to us, and then lie to themselves about lying to us."
There are so many layers of lies and guilt to cut through.
We have a lot of personal stuff to clean up before we are ready to heal.
It makes me sad to think that the teachings are not listened to in a good way, for we can all learn much by listening.

What this man Richard Morrison talks about is basic knowledge for American Indians meaning it's inherent. What he talks about in this video many call it sacred traditional knowledge however Morrison phrases it for non-indigenous people to understand. What sucks is his philosophical ideas are used to stamp his words as sacred however this is what is inherent in REAL american Indians, and it just isn't discovered after you watch a youtube clip or live your life with them over a summer. Just saying

Also, I don't think that it is prudent to be so "anti" sharing our shared "human-ness" .
There are sacred rites and ceremonies that are not possible to share, but the knowledge and awareness that we all have, but some of us have forgotten is our birthright.
Some of us have strayed a long way from the "Good Red Road" or the "Sacred Path", it is called many things by each culture. Now we see a returning to that knowledge and awareness, is it not good to help them regain that sacred ground?

The answer to "Who will pay?" is 1) karma and 2) the ancestors have and are paying. Trust me, whatever those ancestors did, they paid partly before they died and, because "the sins of the fathers pass down to the 3rd and 4th generation" (and since I believe in reincarnation), the ancestors return in new bodies to pay (somehow) for their misdeeds.
Because Christian teaching says that we won't pay until a Judgment Day, people think the wrongdoing is not being punished fast enough. Not true.

Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life. Nobody comes to the Father except though Him. Playing big Indian will not save your soul from your sin. It's only by the blood of Jesus Christ we are saved and accepting His atonement for you shall you be saved. Only by believing, not works or how good you think you are can do it only by believing in what Jesus did on the cross will anyone be saved for all sin. You will be a sinner all your life, but the Lamb redeemed us and paid for our sin and clothes us with unblemished garments white as snow. It doesn't cost you anything it's the free gift God the Father provided as promised!

@brit8802 it means projecting yourself as one with the world. Those that are of the world are at enmity with Yah. I was raised a Christian by my ojibwe grandparents. These words you read now will cut you. You are not of this world. You are being tested by the world. Your whole life has been a challenge in indescribable ways. You've most likely suffer from some form of abuse and seek validation from those of such, and yet you don't discuss because it's a sign of weakness amongst you...alcoholic parents and drug addiction in the entire family was my story, still to this day.... You fning punks don't know shxt! Listen to what I'm telling you! 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 is the good news, long as you believe, even secretly amongst yourself your in like flinn... I care for you punks...no disrespect meant....who else is gonna tell ya! May as well be me 3cool2beans1!
