This is good to hear. I am a grandma of 3,: and sometimes feel a quiet amazement when I really see how much they care for me. My son's babies often remind me when he was a baby, and I'm so thankful for him, and his babies.

People and material things enhance our happiness in my opinion. A beautiful movie involving Native American who aren't given the place they deserve in these United States! Great film!
Thank you so much for this movie! I can so relate to Harry's feelings about the Pow Wow ,because that's exactly the way I felt! I was adopted by a white family and when I found my Mom we started going to Pow Wows together. Wonderful memories!
What a beautiful, interesting, organic and honourable culture Native American's have.I have lived in large, busy towns where 'fame and fortune' rules most people's lives but I feel a deep affinity with the natural ways of all tribal peoples! I absolutely love this film and look forward to viewing more like it...thank you!!!

Native Americans are such a handsome people... There's a regality about them... "Dances with Wolves" really brought this out... Kevin Costner... I'll always remember as a young kid, reading about Custer's last stand... Actually being so pleased that the Indians had won that battle... Never liked what was done to such a dignified race of Indigeny... Cowboy films always portrayed them as savage and cruel... As was done to the Aboriginals of Australia, the Khoi San (Bushman) of the Kalahari in South Africa and others... Man's inhumanity to his fellow man and woman and child... Thanks for the sharing of such a lovely story... Magical
Beautiful story and movie! I have Choctaw and Chickasha blood in my lineage but, my family from the early 1920s denied it and our ancestors were lost. as a teenager I fell in love with the native way through my readings and understanding of their natural ways. I learned of their woodland skills and hunting skills I have been to pow wow's and enjoyed the experience I would rather be an Indian than a cowboy! My hunting dogs name was Shoshone!
Thank you for providing a movie that reflects a small portion of the beauty within the Native American culture. I was blessed to experience much of their culture in Alberta Canada and this movie brought me back to a wonderful place and time. Thank you for the movie and the excellent upload.
love the raw beauty of the land and the sweet love of youth, the so so beautiful singing of the men on the drum, the dances at the pow wow and the whole life of those tribal nations living on the land...thank you!
My favorite part in the movie is when Turquoise became truly engaged in her relationship with her Grandma in a supportive role and realized that she was there in support of Her and what she had to offer in understanding the Native ways. Turquoise then fell in love with living on the Res. and being able to meet the people that lived there by learning the customs and the Spiritual ways of the Indian Nations.

What a beautifully done movie that I’ve seen ever. my Husband was 3/4 Cherokee (From N.C & East Tennessee-Appalachia Mountains in Roan Mountain, Tennessee) on both sides, his Mother’s side and his Father’s side. (His father’s mother was in Eastern Band of Cherokee Nation) my husbands father was Walsh and his Mother’s family was English/Irish) My husband’s 2nd cousin on his Dad’s side is Del McCoury who plays Bluegrass and his sons have their Band called “The Travelin McCoury’s” My husband was called home almost 2 years ago. I know he would have enjoyed this beautiful movie. We moved to Arizona in 1999 for my husband’s health.( He was an Vietnam era In AirForce) We have a Apache Arizona family tribe who have 10 children and many grandchildren too! They all brought love and happiness to my husband and myself. I’m blessed that there Tribal family always here to help if I need them. Thank you for making a very truthful movie. 🕊️🙏💜💘 🫶💖🙋🏻

I spent the best parts of my child hood north of Flagstaff on highway 89 a. I would ride with my friend for hours everyday. We'd ride to a ridge where the painted desert began. This movie really took me back. I miss hearing the Navajos and hopis language. That was 40 + years ago. And of course the love story was moving.

Grandma seem like a beautiful woman I made me think about my grandmother raised me and my past back in the 60s I've been thinking a lot about my family. This was really heartwarming the movie thank you for sharing it. Hope you will show others similar to this I would really enjoy it.
Thank you Calvin. Yes, we have others to share that are finished and more to come. Enjoy again and again.

What a beautiful show and such a great tribute to the Elders on the Rez,
I truly admire the purity & simplicity of the Navajo people. Thank you for putting together such a great movie! God bless!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Absolutely Fantastic movie and using Navajo actors makes it more precious! From a former Sedona resident now relocated to rural Brasil.
What a beautiful story I love the American native my dream is to go to the reserve and also Yellowstone. My ancestors are from India and I'm south african Indian. ❤
Glad to hear. Our next film comes out November 3 - www.holthamilton.com/touch-the-water.html
I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this beautiful and engaging movie. I don’t know how I came upon it while scrolling TH-cam but I am so happy that I did! Thank you for sharing this sweet, honorable, happy film ❤️
Thank you for sharing your comments. Have you seen any of our other films?
I wasn't raised on a rez. My elders were always number one to respect, love, & cherish. I was taught to take care of them as they increased in age. I learned more from them about how to live & be happy with what seemed to be less. I love & recall all they taught me.😊
Thanks for sharing. You will probably like our next film hitting theatres November 3. www.holthamilton.com/touch-the-water.html
Nice movie, appreciation of family and making good friends. Getting an education and enjoying life.

A beautiful piece. I like the graceful touch on societal struggles, from language loss and alcoholism to the melding of pow-wow culture… very sweetly true. Just beautiful.

Beautiful movie. Usually I don't care to watch any movies anymore but I did enjoy this one. I t made me cry when masani passed.
We have a Goddess in the name of Masani in Tamilnadu.
Great movie! I am Polish by heritage and have always been drawn to Native American culture! Thanks!
Have you ever heard of the 'Volk'.
They, too, had many practices similar to indigenous works, except they are pagan in origin.
Have you ever read books by Sat Okh-polish by his mom and by dad he is Shawnee ? I just enjoyed these books in my young teenage

My husband’s 2nd cousin on his Dad’s side is Del McCoury who plays Bluegrass and his sons have their Band called “The
Travelin McCoury’s”
My husband was called home almost 2 years ago. I know he would have enjoyed this beautiful movie.

This is a very special movie that thankfully has been shared. How wonderful.
Another wonderful film from the people who leave us blessed memories from generations past! May we remember them & pass them down. My indigenous roots come from Hawaii, a wonderful blend of people from different parts of the world...Heaven sent by God to His Creation! Celebrate Him! Be thankful for the good things of our ancestors, be mindful of your heritage that is esteemed, and build a good legacy to leave behind! Do the best you can & teach the children & others by example in all you say & do. Live honorably, so you go through life with few regrets & head held high! Aloha nui loa!

Wow!! Lovely movie regarding the blessings of experiencing a loving family!!
Thank u so much, I absolutely loved this movie! I liked that it showed the rich culture of the Navajo, and their beautiful craftsmanship with the items they make. And the storyline was very well done!
The greatest and most positive portrayal of Dine. The story is a "coming of age" full circle, humble, and professional masterpiece. Thanks!
Wow, thank you! Very kind of you to take the time and write this. Means a lot to me. (Holt Hamilton, Filmmaker)
Loved this movie! Thanks for the upload! Now one of my faves! Couldn't stop watching it! I'm watching it again for the 4th time! 👍😊
This movie is a Classic , a wonderful movie that should have won a slew of Awards .
Whenever watching it always an experience .
Thank you so much for your kind words. We very much appreciate calling it a classic. Do you have a favorite part?
@@HoltHamiltonFilms
No .
I like the trip to the Reservation , it's scenery ,
The Res. Rd. music ,
The verbal and non verbal interchanges with the hitch hiker ,
And the prelude building up to the trip .
But no , "a favorite part" is like asking that about the movie "Tombstone"-
How do you pick a "best" Doc Holliday part?
Turquoise Rose was so well cast , musically backrounded , and plot/scenes there's really no "favorite" .
So much was "spoken" without words , everything magically intertwined .
Thank you!
PS - Other than my obvious fascination with Tombstone ,
I otherwise never comment on movies .
@@waldipup9010 thank you and well said!
@Blue Bee Wish I could be as highly sofistimikated as you are ,
But to repeter' une Englais -
This is a freakin' classic .
Such beauriful young people . I wasnt sure if the nations still spoke their langauges . What Russia has done is preserve the original languages and dialects,of which there are over 100. And my grandfathers langauge ,maori has seen a rebirth un the l ast 40 years .keep making these great movies mr Hamilton 🎉

I am so glad that I came upon this movie... It is wholesome and beautiful. Also, I am very interested in other cultures and would love to visit a reservation. My husband is part Apache and my best friend Kiowa.

I love this movie miss talking my language, awesome actors.❤😊
I spent the best parts of my child hood north of Flagstaff on highway 89 a. I would ride with my friend for hours everyday. We'd ride to a ridge where the painted desert began.
This movie really took me back. I miss hearing the Navajos and hopis language.
That was 40 + years ago.
And of course the love story was moving.
Thank you for sharing my friend. Glad the film took you back to some fond memories it sounds like. (Holt Hamilton, Filmmaker)
