Honestly I'd love to communicate with my team in OW(or any game really) but having SEVERE social anxiety and being a girl, Im scared Id get harassed especially for being a mercy main. I cant handle those things well. :((

hey queen you should try playing in girls only groups. I make them all the time, you can find one in the LFG or make your own. It's a much much better experience.
Honestly, it's more rare than anything to get roasted as girl. It still happens sometimes but there dumb af🤣

One of the better mercy guides. The tips are things that kinda take a long time to really nail down yourself because (like lucio, since if you're busy mid fight you could forget about or underestimate boop) and there's no trivial stuff provided that you'd pick up from other videos.

Wonderful tips! In future streams, may you consider using a keyboard overlay so that we can see what you press/don't press during intense movement situations? It would help beginners like me who constantly lose momentum when using GA.

This mercy guide I knew right off of common sense, it still doesn’t change the fact that if your team is just really bad no matter how well you play mercy flawlessly, you will just lose since she’s such a team reliant hero. I don’t communicate in voice chat because I’m a female, playing mercy, and every time I call out nobody listens to the mercy players cuz “we’re irrelevant.”
And idk about you, but after awhile hearing the same sexist hurtful shit over and over, really does break someone confidence.
Im a female and mercy main and honestly, i just keep strict gameplay comms. They wanna have a go at me or fill the comms woth unnecessary shit, i just reply with callouts. Mercy is too much of a shotcaller to not utilize that. In valk you see health bars. Plus youre already ult tracking and should be the most aware in your team of the enemy teams movements, especially of dangerous flanks so calling that stuff out is crucial. Ive had a few bad eggs in my games but most back off coz i just call out and help the team that much. I call out what allies need backup. What ults are coming. Who to focus. When to stop using ults. It genuinely makes the game better.

Hey great guide. Here I was thinking I knew all the ins and outs, but the jumping off the map into valk never even crossed my mind. That and the lucio tip. Gettin booped out of a res is sooo annoying.

I asked this in a mercy specific discord and got varying results with the addition of considering acting as a body block. I'm curious what your take would be
So it's decision time and I'm unsure what the correct call is. Mcree is ulting and a lot of your team is ~half health, mcree is ~30% health on the high ground without a protective shield. The enemy team doesn't have shield out at the moment but they do have some heavy hitters (ie widow ashe or Hanzo). Your health is high if not full in most scenarios
Do you:
A) damage boost to hopefully get deadeye off quicker risking the case where he is noticed and a flick body shot kills him
B) heal him so he might survive a body shot but risk it taking long enough to get deadeye off that 2-3 shots can hit him or a more carefully aimed headshot
C) madly flick between damage boost and healing to avoid the dilemma and just hope for the best
This seems to happen to me a LOT in high silver / low gold and I'm not even sure if there is a correct call here

It’s possible to climb out of silver with mercy, but it’s extremely hard. I would play Moira until hitting gold or plat and then start applying mercy tech. That’s what i did!
I'm a silver mercy nd I've been playing a month but placed silver as soon as I reached like lvl 20 or wtv to be able to play comp. ty for this bc I've realised I play pretty similarly, just my execution is sloppy and I tend not to use guardian angel as much as I should. time to try and polish up~

Also, on teammates not listening, I was in a match and I was cut off from my team (respawn) and there was a Sigma behind them
I had no LOS to them, so I spammed "Need Help!" And nobody did anything
Just kept on fighting

How do you prevent Genji from going on a hunting spree looking for you before every Genji ult? I get killed 99% of the time when a Genji ults its really really really annoying since EVERY Genji goes for Mercy first.
When I hear him ult I run and hide and he still finds me!
Hey, I usually try being unpredictable with my movement. Ga between teammates, superjump, use cover etc. You can also try staying near a teammate such as zarya who can bubble you or hog/Mccree or anyone with cc abilities. Hope this helps ❤
