An alternate version of the cover was also released today, it's basically the same thing except with Shadow and I believe it is an Amazon exclusive. Still lazy in my opinion but, it is the better of the two. Still have my fingers crossed for a better release somewhere down the line. Maybe the back cover will make up for the front cover.
That one Sonic 3 Promo image where Sonic and Shadow are running down the skyscraper leaving trails that form a 3 with the 3 being textured would have made a killer steelbook tbh
I live in Czech Republic, right next to Germany. The only reason I didn't cancel my pre-order is that I hope we'll get the German cover, because whatever they'll get, it can't be as bad as this one (fingers crossed)
It's cause of the sales for the Deadpool/Wolverine steelbooks were so good, along with Arcane doing the same gimmick, that Paramount decided to pull it with Sonic 3. Otherwise if this Steelbook was released last year we would've had something special with the sa2 cover, heck the fact that they prepared the renders for it is nuts.
@@georgemitri1171 yeah, that's what I thought as soon as they released the Shadow cover. It's a pretty lame cash grab, the reason it worked with Deadpool and Wolverine is because those covers actually looked good. Such a shame.
It kills me inside this is worst that the No Way Home Steelbook by a wide margin. Idk how they fumbled the bag so hard they literally did a recreation of sonic 3 game art as promotion but didnt use that at the final art for the steelbook at least a sonic and shadow together in a feont cover would have been nice but gawd its awful. Id take Do you know they way Knuckles or Sanic over this shit. They used sonic 1 render then blew the shit out of the coloring. Its a sad Steelbook i really hope we can get a sonic 3 re release steelbook by the time the 4th film comes out or someone releases a custome steelbook fr smh
@@KadenThornton-h8w Yeah, I'm right there with you. The No Way Home Steelbook was a massive letdown as well. And yeah, as far as Sonic 3 goes, literally ANY of the promotional art and/ or posters would've been better. They KILLED it with the promotional art for this movie and then fumbled the Steelbook, HARD.
He complimented other steelbooks they made before this one, so I don't think he is being ungrateful. Customers have to pay money for these things and if they don't like the product they should express those concerns and not buy them.
It's not like people are getting the movie for free - The steelbook is a product, the community are the customers. And if the customers doesn't like the product, they have a full right to cancel and keep their hard earned money. For example, if they didn't tell Paramount the design of Sonic for the first movie sucked, we wouldn't even get to the third movie, because the first one would flop.

Who's watching this after they improved the Steelbook art
They did? Looks the same on Amazon
We shouldve gotten sa2 steelbook image
I wish we had gotten the sa2 pose for the steel book of them in the air.
This movie was actually very good
@@ShawnmRheaume easily the best of the trilogy.

Who can we get in touch with to get this fixed?
Totally agree. This is such a disappointment
There’s a shadow one

I find it frustrating how ungrateful the Sonic community is.
