Taking a good Eland bull in northern Namibia, Africa
It takes a while until there is a good possibility to take the old bull as the herd is always near the bull or there are animals behind the bull that may be hit by the bullet. Also, the bull is very nervous and aggresive because of the rut.
Some background information on the hunting area: The fences are only for cattle and can easily be crossed by the Eland and other antelopes that jump up to 2 meters high! There is absolutely no canned hunt acivity whatsoever involved. The hunt is primarily for meat and the whole animal is used.

How does the Eland meat taste? And there are certainly hunting rates that ensure that the existence of the single animal species is not endangered?
