So its Adrienne Cowan on vocals, Jack Costa on guitar, Peter de Reyes on bass, and Chris Dovas on drums ( sadly this album is his last work, with the band, he moved to another project.) They all met when at Berklee School of Music in Boston and they all have music degrees. This song is more symphonic, but they can do about anything, power metal, folksy stuff, jazz, and yes very heavy metal. And yeah they are almost always messge driven. Great reaction glad you enjoyed it!

Well, thank you Fred. This was great and it's a band I never heard of before. I loved the way the song grew and developed. And, as Maria said, the lyrics are so meaningful. And, Maria, I think you mean the genre of "symphonic metal".

This is a band that can cram a dozen genres of metal into one song and a dozen more genres of music in general into one album. Pop metal, dark jazz, catchy cabaret, even some Spain-inspired acoustic guitar. Symphonic, melodic, death, & black metal with a flavor for just about anyone. All of their albums are part of a storyline, and so far, this song and the other new single from their upcoming album seem to be a prequel to their 3rd album. Not confirmed yet, to my knowledge. Regardless, this band is VERY story/message/character driven. Glad you caught the lyrics and the overall positive, uplifting tone of this one. It’s a very inspiring track!

I loved the reaction you had with the harsh vocals. I guess you do not expect those from Adrienne Cowan when you listen to her cleans, but she's very good growling and screaming. One of the best.
I hope you keep reacting to Seven Spires. Just don't try the heavy songs before getting used to some harsh vocals.
