The name of this and the seaweed in the notes made me immediately think of eating green (sour, unripe) mango with salty shrimp or fish sauce in the Philippines. Very intriguing idea of a fragrance Unfortunately, beyond the initial few moments, it turns very soapy on me. I’m going to have to try it again in the hot weather.
Salted Green Mango was one of my favorites from the sample set. Your description of how it has depth and gravitas is spot on. Unusual yet wearable and pleasing to the nose. Great review!
I ordered a decant from the UK after watching Timmy’s review a few weeks ago. Living in Hawaii, we have warm weather al year so most anxious to get it.
The background music suggested a rap George. I was expecting a rap. Something like, ♫ A fragrance for someone who enjoys the outdoors Like sippin' margaritas on Dominican shores; Citrus and warming to the tips of your toes, Hoping that the chilli doesn't burn your nose; Little bit 'a pineapple, little bit 'a lime, a little bit 'a mango all the time The shell, the smell, the tropical fruit, Like Millesime Imperial in a different suit. Longevity is good, projection good, errrrrything is just so damn good. The orange, the petitgrain, the sandalwood base, Without too many gooseberries in yo face. So if that sounds delicious, just raise your voice, Salted Green Mango is your only choice. I said your Oooonly choice. ♫ Made in Bangkok.
David Reynolds For me it lasted about 5 hours..I often get less hours than most and it was a tart smell but in a nice way so not sour. Almost a savoury mango scent and while it was on it projected a lot. My daughter said I smelt 'zesty' so mass appealing in the freshness of it but it does have a twist to it...maybe it's the chilli George mentioned. I thought it was peppery until realising that:)
I've been debating on buying this one ever since Timmey mentioned it in his fragrance haul.....I do wish they sold atleast 1.7 or 2 oz bottles.....I hate the 30 ml bottle unless I'm traveling.
Was debating about this one for awhile, just ordered a sample of this and Scotch Peat. It would be the second scent for me with chili pepper and mango, the other being the sweet gourmand Lio Caliente (Ganache Parfums/listed under Haught Parfums on Fragrantica)
I really did not like this scent which is such a shame as the name itself would suggest that it is right up my street. I have nearly a full bottle if anyone is interested EDIT : after having used it a few times, I am starting to appreciate it more for what it is ; it is a unique fragrance I just wish that the opening green mango scent was present throughout the fragrance and not just fleeting... the watery salty notes take over far too quickly, if the top notes had persisted I would have bought another bottle of this
@@regalkismet I didn't enjoy that one as much, i'll be honest and it's not something to my taste but they are all original solid Fragrances, there's nothing innately bad about any of them. I will be talking about Cigar Rum and SM Cafe though.

Cigar rum was my number1 winter fragrance for 2018, an excellent balanced fragrance that ticks all the boxes for me !!!
