Greetings! Your video was very helpful. I'm trying to import waypoints and routes from Rosepoint program also used for navigation. I am receiving an error when trying to import the waypoints from an Excel spreadsheet. Have you had any luck doing this before? Or can I import a certain file type directly from the Rosepoint program? Thanks for any help you can provide!

The formats you can import in are.
[RTZ]: route data, XML format / [FEA-2x07]: route data, ECDIS FEA-2x07 format / [CSV Position]: waypoint position data, CSV format / [ASCII WPT Name Position]: waypoint name, position order, ASCII format / [ASCII Full]: all route data, ASCII format / [ASCII Full (Support Asymmetrical XTD Limit]: asymmetrical channel limit sup-port, ASCII format / [CSV Route Sheet]: route data, CSV format / [RTE Format]: route data, RTE format
You should be able to import from a excel sheet. The program you are using, i have no knowledge of.

It is a really good question. The UPS most commonly sits in the nearby vicinity of the ECDIS, try to ask one of the engineers. the requirement for UPS is
16 POWER SUPPLY
16.1 It should be possible to operate ECDIS and all equipment necessary for its normal
functioning when supplied by an emergency source of electrical power in accordance
with the appropriate requirements of chapter II-1 of the 1974 SOLAS Convention, as
amended.
16.2 Changing from one source of power supply to another or any interruption of the supply
for a period of up to 45 seconds should not require the equipment to be manually
re-initialized.
That sentence is from the ECDIS performance standard.

Have you solved the problem yet ? if not, then it sound like you have either no permits/license for the charts
or you have not loaded the Public key.
