    Yep. Terrible idea. People in my family lost years of their lives in these situations that almost always turn out to be bad.

    I know at least three people who are planning to marry just to get the GC; I am not sure if the new government will change things because it is obvious that many people will marry to avoid deportation.

    Time is too valuable to spend years tied up with this; and
    dating once divorce is comparable to job searching with a criminal record.

      @@AbuNewYorkCity i hope you’re exaggerating. Come on, if a girl likes you they wont care if youre divorced!

      @AleCastillo-Wolfgang it's easier for men than women in that regard; but it's a track record issue, second marriages fail at an even higher rate than first marriages.

      @ yeah but i would imagine in these cases the second marriage would be real, unlike the first one.
      Im just talking in the hypothetical scenario from this video

    I've heard too many people got their citizenships this way but they went through hell because the fake spouses constantly ask for more money and don't wanna show up for interviews. It would be nice if you also mentioned possibility of loosing a citizenship which was gained through fake marriage later on.

    Very bad idea. You'll have to live the rest of your life fearing being caught too. I never even thought about it but I have heard of people who did and it never ended in a clean manner. There was always blackmail etc...

    I had applied for my spouse i-130 two years ago when I was PR now 3-4 months ago I became citizen and sent my citizenship update in USCIS as evidence and it's not updated yet also it doesn't show anything still it just show we are not currently providing visa for this what that mean? do we need to do anything else? Also while applying it was done by Lawyer but later I took my case on my hand I see check it myself so not sure all the photos of marriage I submitted have been submitted or not? Can you provide details on these situation that what could be reason or what next we could do?

    Sir I came to us in dec 2022 on f1 but was out of status for 1.5 yr and got married in April 2024 and have applied for I 485 in Nov 2024 and my interview got waived off after my biometric in dec 2024 and I am waiting for the final decision . My question is can trump revoke my waived off interview and can I have the interview in 2025 or my case will be approved without interview ?

      Well if he removes these kind of green card, I’m going to try work visa or we can move together away from the USA, to another country where will be better and stable.

    I believe they are doing a commendable job if they make it more challenging. I have witnessed numerous spouses and couples leaving their partners after obtaining their green cards. President Trump intends to ensure that family members remain together, not only for the purpose of obtaining green cards, but also to prevent individuals from disregarding their families’ ties to the United States based solely on their residence in the country. Moreover, President Trump emphasizes the significance of loyalty to the United States of America.🇺🇸

    What about the same sex marriage. How the USCIS handle for that case?

    • @DarianLaw
      @DarianLaw  7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Usually they are handled exactly the same. One time I had an issue with a USCIS officer because she didn't think that gay people should be married, but her decision was reversed by a supervisor.

    How’s does one get a green card without marriage ? Hypothetically- if they pursue a career, like MD or something in the higher end field. Does any of that help ? As an example of a good citizen ..
