Thanks for the video, I’m just trying to diagnose the problem I have with my 08 Impreza, you’re correct cause I started off with all the spark plugs wires and then I went to vacuum and fuel hoses and it went to my brake check valve holes because it was cracked, but I still have the same issue. Mine is intermittent. It’s not all the time one week it’ll work great the next week it will start up again, but it seems to be happening more and more. And it’s not just after I start it it’s the whole time I drive it if I stop at a light, for example.
@@YKRECREATION99 impreza with an ej22, yeah idles around 1500 until warm, if put in gear it'll idle at 900 until slightly warm and then it just drops. doesn't have the low idle shake either. Also with the AC on it idles around 300-400rpm
w salaam i just left it in the middle position, i did try moving it, it adjusts the revs up or down slighly on idle, so on tick over it will sit at 1100 or 900 rpm
just depends how rotten it is behind, and how much metal needs changing, I got lucky just the outer panel was rusted, I paid £500 for just the outer skin to get welded and prepped the rest myself. for the full job including paint your looking between 1k to 1500
Hello,my subaru idles perfect when I start it up for the first time 1k-1.5krpm after it warms up or if I press the gas peddle it drops down to 250 rpm and climbs back up nearly stalling then settling for 500rpm. At first I thought it was a vaccum leak or exhaust leak and before it idled worse often times stalling, but after I fixed the exhaust leak it idles at around 500 (without a/c)ac on idles around 750rpm and it often times drops rpm’s to about 250 and then jumps right back up after 30 seconds and just repeats. I got a misfire code a few days ago and I ordered new fuel injectors so tomorrow I’ll try cleaning my throttle body and probably my iacv I’ll keep an update.
@@YKRECREATION yeah it drives fine now I got a code a couple months ago for a faulty maf sensor that caused it to stall on its own if idled or stopping at a redlight. I was guessing the 02 sensors but I’ll try this out and if it isn’t this or the fuel injectors then I’ll replace those aswell.
@@YKRECREATION cleaned up the throttle body but wasn’t able to reach the iac without stripping the bolts so wasn’t able to. Throttle body didn’t help much but engine is running healthier, when I shut the car off it doesn’t shake as much before
You made this really understable ! Keep posting pleaseeee
Thank you, hopefully it can benefit others
I have this issue with my 99 Impreza (idle revs), so will try and fix it next weekend
Good luck
Excellent video I have this problem I will try this thank you
thank you , hope it helps, let me know how you get on
@@YKRECREATION hello its slightly better but still not right may be 02 sensor. Thanks you keep the videos coming

Have you checked if your dump valve is working properly, is it hunting for revs even with slow calm driving, like very slow, not turbo activated
@@YKRECREATION thanks for the reply, its just when in idle, not in acceleration ….i dont have turbo….
Try un plug maf
@@YKRECREATIONMaf? Sorry man , newbie witha subie….like un plug ?
Yh best take it to a garage then mate 👍🏼 a maf is on every car you don't want to mess it up
Good day sir love ur video
good day to you also my friend hope you are well
Great video, my problem is that my idle is at 200-300rpm after it’s warm.
No codes and no vacuum leaks
hmm strange one, what subaru is it ? and does the choke come on fine when started cold around 1700rpm but drops to 2 300 when warm ?

Throwing a p0519 code on my '03 wrx wagon. I've replaced the O²sensor and the IACV. Still having the high idle problem
does it fluctuate or just idle high ?, may be sucking in air from some where, check all pipes
Hey bro, where should I set the vale when putting it back in?
Try getting it to where it was sat when you took it off, or adjust till revs sit right
If mine doesn’t move at all after cleaning does that mean I need a new one? Thanks
Assalamualaikum brother. Did you made any adjustments to the sensor magnet on top of the iacv or just leave in the middle position?
w salaam i just left it in the middle position, i did try moving it, it adjusts the revs up or down slighly on idle, so on tick over it will sit at 1100 or 900 rpm
Thanks so much
Most welcome
I like the steering wheel pal
Thanks, I think it was called personal steering wheel brand

Hello matey. I'd try IAC before changing injectors that causes revs to fluctuate, also 02 sensor can cause that. Does it drive fine ?

@@YKRECREATION it drives fine but when I’m driving you can really feel the power get drained from it as the rpm’s drop and rise.Kind of jerky.
Ok keep us posted

thank you
You're welcome, did you manage to fix it ?
Its ideal control valve they are cheap get a new one its by the throttle body
