One of the most underrated Games of the NFS Series. The Run was sooo good. But the best are still MW 05, Carbon & Prostreet. Heat is the best of the "new" one's . Shift and Shift 2 are also underrated but they are more like GT ^^
Yup, i still hope for a 3rd one. Just copy the second one, get a little more modern cars available and a little touch to the graphics. I would buy the game again
I don't count QTEs in a racing game as "nice concept" + it took away the feeling of you picturing yourself as the driver like the previous NFS games by giving a face (a generic one at that too, not even a badass one!) to the driver L game through and through

Unfortunately, people will always compare any NFS to the best ones. And if they aren’t as good / better, then in their eyes, the game is trash. The Run was a very enjoyable game. Would’ve loved a sequel or something like it in the future
Because it came out right after HP2010 and was developed by black box so everyone was expecting a new street racing entry just to be met with The Run and MW 2012 Between 2007-2014 we didn't get a single street racing oriented NFS game and that p*ssed a lot of people off We didn't get a proper street racing NFS again till 2015
NFS : The Run ftw I think no other game comes close to its sound design, drifting accuracy and background music. Thats my personal opinion. Also a short story and honestly it felt like watching a movie.
Need for Speed Most Wanted was my first. I really began to fall in love cars right then. The Bugatti Veyron and Koenigsegg Agera R were my favorites. The Caterham and Ariel Atom were next 😍

(I mean, random events in nature come colliding to make it challeegne and eventful in a stress full and awesome way) I gotta check that out... Edit: After some research, I gotta say it looked interesting, the quick time events with the cutscenes, are super awesome and interesting Plus the police and the gang trying to capture you, is a good combination The drifting looks as hard as a rock, I was hoping for some good drifts to glide onto the road, but it looks so hard to follow once you feel yourself drifting along to the road

Sure, Ventura Bay, for example, was pretty fun, but the hatred towards rural-ish roads makes 0 sense when you consider the name of the series and the so desired crowded walmart parking lot. I played 2003s Underground on my PSP using the neighbors UMD. It was such an awesome game and I didn’t ever want to stop playing. It got me hooked on racing games. I never memorized the title and the memories were forgotten until I saw the short clip in this short. The nostalgia trip down memory lane was intense enough to nearly bring me to tears. Thanks for that.

But more racing, building rep, and building your cars up. I mean, one of the things i REALLY loved from the games i mentioned, were this: You have 3 or 5 classes of cars You have to buy a class1 car, as you race against class1, class2 cars, you build your car up to compete with class3-4 cars, until you eventually have to buy a higher class as to be able to compete with the TOP class cars, then you build up your New car, you eventually manage to save up to buy a Top class car yourself and build that car up to tops, and all that while having a pretty decent story going on. Those were the good old games that i really love, if they all could recieve Current-Gen Remasters, with improved physics, graphics and Damage, then I'd buy them all double priced. But these new games are cr*p if I'm being honest.

The best of the best: Hot Pursuit 2, Most Wanted (OG), Carbon, Prostreet, Hot Pursuit 2010, The Run. I grew up with almost every NFS game, but those titles are the only ones I play again and again.
Shift 1 was my first cockpit camera experince and it was awesome the way we do drift, race etc. it all felt real to me and i enjoyed like im doing it in real life.
Honestly 2015 was pretty enjoyable. Payback was alright but definitely a step back in some ways, but heat and unbound have been genuinely just not fun. Rivals was great, and I wish they kept going that way, though 2015 gave me hope. Payback kinda disappointed me with the customization system being what it was.
@@MaxDanson I wouldn’t count Rivals. It was more of UG2 port with some unique features. And since it’s a spin-off and not a numbered title let alone a portable one it’s not truly a “third” game.
The amount of customisation that came with NFS carbon we're truly game changing. Customising spoke spaces, how many and the size to the vents in the grill and in the bodykits. Different zones to be more specific. Were what made it my all time favorite. Not a huge fan of how the cars drift or the follow cam but that's just me and i still loved it.

Porsche 2000/Unleashed was a pretty special game. Had a refined, tasteful feeling about it and a soundtrack to boot.
Need for Speed underground, Need for Speed Carbon and Need for Speed Payback are definitely my favorites.
Porsche or nfs5 was really fun considering that the damage was real and had to pay in game currency at the workshop to get it fixed.

NFS Heat has that 80s Miami vibe, especially with the older car models included
