Where I live in California it gets well over 100 degrees during the summer. Today it is 104. We use those reflective things to help keep the sun from baking the dashboard of our cars and helping to keep the heat down (a little bit) inside the car. The nice ones can sell up to $100.

I believe the bar with the motor on the end is for a recliner chair. The only way I know this is because I have a recliner chair and had to have the mechanism replaced and it looks very similar to what you have.
The silver sun shade for the car is so that the sun's heat reflects off of the silver so that your vehicle doesn't get extremely hot. The silver side goes toward the window. They help when it gets above 85 degrees outside.

I wouldn't be so quick to discard the bedding, there are lots of people who would buy it, especially the high end stuff. All it needs is washed/dry cleaned etc and it's usable.

Any miscellaneous furniture pieces, especially metal, can be sold locally to up-cyclers and industrial artists. Nothing is truly trash.

It helps block out the sun. It keeps it from hitting the car up too hot and it helps keep your interior from fading from the sun.
