Understanding Mashiach ben Yosef

  • Who is Mashiach ben Yosef? What is the true origin of the Mashiach ben Yosef idea, and where can it be found in the Torah? What are the four prophesied stages in the era of Mashiach ben Yosef at the End of Days? And what does it have to do with recent events in the Holy Land?
Find out in this class where we embark on an in-depth exploration of Mashiach ben Yosef from the most ancient Biblical texts through the Talmud, Midrash, Zohar, Arizal, and the mysterious Kol haTor.
Also: Why are Christians called “Notzrim” in Hebrew? And what role might Christians play in the forthcoming Redemption? When is the “Ingathering of the Exiles” stage complete, and what exactly are the “birth pangs of the Messiah”?
This class is based on a set of essays in the recently-published third volume of 'Garments of Light', available on Amazon and here: www.lulu.com/s...

As a former Christian, it was the Rabbinic concept of 'Messiah ben Joseph' that was the last straw and had me renounce Christianity all together and see jesus christ as a greco-roman pagan deity and gross idolatry. I'm now engrossing myself in Rabbinic Judaism and whole heartedly devoted to HaShem and His Torah.. I see that Christianity hijacked the Messiah ben Joseph from the Jews and made him their own, and like Joseph in Potifers prison, in the pit, is awaiting to be freed and eventually reveal himself to all Yisrael and especially to Judah, and save his people from famine, and gather Israel from the 4 corners of the earth in preparation for Mashiach ben David and his Reign

I have been a christian since I was seventeen, and I strayed away a few times, always coming back because the Lord would go and get me. I think that when you decide to follow, you should get to know your leader or teacher. If I didn't know Jesus, I wouldn't follow Him. And I don't say this to start an argument or to change your mind. The only thing is, if you follow God, ask him to reveal himself to you on a personal level. Don't read Him, hear Him. You can never leave someone you know.

@@tjpm i hear ya.. I had been a believer my whole life (going on 50 now), at 21 had a calling and entered into seminary. Was under eldership training to be a pastor, but I was young and family life had me leave the ministry. So I've taught and studied scriptures for decades, so i'm NOT walking away from something that was new to me, or that I was not fully engrossed in.. quite the contrary, my transitioning to Judaism away from Christianity is 'good news' to me, and is an evolution of my faith and being called away from the idolatry that is christianity and to a life of true purity of Faith in HaShem, forsaking idolatry and the concept of the greco-roman 'god man' (the roman version of jesus christ).. i do NOT want to know the greco-roman pagan idol of jesus christ anymore. I only want to know HaShem and HIS messiah and HIS salvation, not the greco-roman story of the messiah that was hijacked from Judaism for political purposes and to build an empire.. I'm convinced that the greco-roman version of jesus christ, the god-man of rome, IS that anti-christ, beast, lawless one figure, that the original Natsarim disciples were warned was coming . so I'm fleeing babylon (fleeing Edom) and clinging to Yisrael and my hope is in HaShem alone.

    • @tjpm
      @tjpm 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

@NatsarimGuard And I can respect that. But as fellow believers, if you see you and I in the same family. When I started going to church, I went because someone took me. And it's OK, since little I had faith, even though my household had none. But when I started visiting and saw all the shenanigans, I made a purpose to tell Jesus in prayer, if you reveal yourself to me, I will follow you. And sooner or later He did. And it has been an integral part of my life ever since. I say all this just to ask you, no matter where you go, ask the source to reveal itself to you. The only reason the prophets of old could hold against a system of idolatry was because they knew the source and not on paper but in a relationship. As long as we are truly connected to the source, we will never stray.

In this video he says the Christians are supportive of Israel - then says there is no dying Messiah so there's no dying for sin.
      I'll return this compliment.
During the time of Yâhusha (Jesus) there was heightened expectation for a Messiah because the prophecy gave an accurate undeniable time stamp.
Therefore ... the Jewish people are faced with a dilemma that either the prophecy is wrong or there was a Messiah they missed.
Those who understand the redemptive process of sanctification through sacrifice - will know the correct answer.

Of course, in context of this channel, which I respect, ignoring the concept of Yeshua as YHVH which the disciples clearly say as well. I am only saying this to counter the idea of my brother who is trying to say that Paul is not the inspired words of Jesus (from a Christian perspective) is not a correct understanding of the New Testament.

As always, I thank you for sharing your brilliant insights.
I was born (in this life time) to Catholics. Many of them & other Christian’s don’t understand that Christ was not his name , but represents a consciousness like that of the word Israel: which both ultimately refer to integrating the big 3: mind body & soul..
in addition, many do not understand because they buried key documents at the Council of Nicea , including the book of Thomas, that the man of whom you speak, was much like the Buddha, in that he was teaching people that the Godforce is both “outside & inside”
He died on the cross to prove that we are not the body by demonstrating that faith.
He was not a Christian just as Buddha was not a Buddhist.
The inner truth is that whether you are a Buddhist, Jew or Christian , the keys to the kingdom lie within you.. it’s a personal relationship with the Godforce..
We must balance our desire for the material with our spiritual connection
Because A house divided cannot stand
By marrying the 2 forces .. the wave & particle, spirit & matter,
    we get the 3rd state
The trinity .. as symbolised in Christianity by Jesus
(Ps the father of my 3 daughters is Jewish. & I learn from all backgrounds )

    The Narrow Gate
13 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell[f] is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.
    The Tree and Its Fruit
15 “Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. 16 You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. 19 So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. 20 Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.
    True Disciples
21 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’23 “Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah,’ or ‘There he is,’ don’t believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones. 25 See, I have warned you about this ahead of time.

At about 5:42 he stated: _"...Messiah has not come"_ So my question is... when the Messiah does come will this speaker call the Messiah; YHWH יְהֹוָה Our Righteousness as instructed by YHWH יְהֹוָה himself?
_Jeremiah 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth._
_Jeremiah 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS._
The two English words in Jeremiah 23:6 “THE LORD” had been translated from the single Hebrew word יְהֹוָה which is of course the Jewish national name of God. (The one and only true God, the Hebrew God)
When the Messiah in Jeremiah 23:5-6 comes, will you also call him יְהֹוָה our righteousness, as יְהֹוָה has instructed?

So my next question is; What is the name of the city and sanctuary that will be destroyed after the Messiah is cut off?
_Daniel 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined._

_Zechariah __12:11__ _*_In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon._*
_Zechariah 13:6 _*_And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends._*
_Zechariah 13:7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones._
_Zechariah 13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein._
_Zechariah 13:9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: _*_they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God._*

I am 100% Levite on both sides, Holocaust survivors on both sides from Warsaw, family alive and well in Israel and I’m in the USA looking to make Aliyah soon when HASHEM says to.
I accepted Yeshua as Messiah when I was 12 years old and was deceived by the lie of the trinity doctrine, original sin doctrine, no GEVUROT that the arm of HASHEM is too short to save anyone once they take their last breath and thus salvation is somehow dependent upon me and my ability to sell the good news instead of on HIM to reveal HIS glory to all flesh (Isa 40:5), whatever Christian doctrine that is called that completely ignores 1 Peter 4:6 that says
‘For to this end, the BESURA, The Good News was (WILL SURELY BE) preached EVEN TO THE DEAD, that they might be judged indeed as men in the flesh, but live as to G-D in the spirit.’
as well as the MYSTERY of Romans 11:25-27 of how ALL Israel WILL be saved as HASHEM promises through the Prophet Isaiah in 45:17 and 45:25.
Christianity and Christian doctrine has absolutely NO answer for How ALL Israel will be saved if they’ve been blinded to Yeshua being Messiah by HASHEM HIMSELF until the fullness of the Gentiles has completed without using delegitimization or supersessionism.
But Judaism does! And has in the Amidah since 500 BCE! Abraham’s faith in resurrection and even how HASHEM doesn’t say to Moshe in Numbers 31:32 , that after you avenge Bnei Yisrael on the Midianites that “you will die” , but instead says “afterward you shall be gathered to your people.” Almost as if they’re still alive… just somewhere else…the after-LIFE… “for ALL are alive to HIM” (Luke 20:38).
It’s ironic that many who call themselves “Believers” today have little more faith than the Sadducees they criticize in their pride, hypocrisy, and ignorance.
My faith has grown out of the confines of the man made doctrines of Nicaea birthed out of ignorance, pride, political unity, and staunch anti-semitism and now I’m just a flawed HASHEM loving, Torah loving, Jew that knows his Jewish Messiah, Promised to come by the Jewish Prophets, in the Hebrew Scriptures came and will return.
After 30 years of Messianic Judaism which was basically Jewish Christianity… I was preparing to read from the Torah Paresha V’Etchanan that Shabbat at Beit Knesset and chose to read the portion of the Shema all the way to the end of the chapter (Deut 6:4-25).
I was praying a few mornings prior and asked HASHEM to show me if the trinity was legit or not… and HIS Ruakh took me to 1 Timothy 2:3-6 which verse 5 says so clearly…
“For this is good and acceptable in the sight of G-D OUR SAVIOR, Who desires ALL people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth.
For there is ONE G-D (HASHEM ECHAD)
and one mediator between G-D and men,
the man Messiah Yeshua, who gave himself as a ransom for all, the testimony at the proper time,”
    ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬-‭6‬ ‭
And after that…. I resigned my membership card to Christendom , and stopped being a Christian with Jewish ancestry…. No longer could I worship Messiah as G-D, but rather I can only worship G-D through Messiah on the merit of His Emunah.
Then all the other verses and writings of the New Testament stood out as every single Jewish Disciple clearly makes the distinction between G-D and Messiah. Over and over and over and over.
The scales come off and reading 1 Tim 6:13-16 and seeing that ABBA is The Rightful owner of the title THE KING of Kings and LORD of lords (Deut 10:17, Psalm 136:2-3) because it says in verse 16 “Whom no man has seen nor can see” …. yet Messiah Yeshua was seen…
I really enjoy learning from Rabbi Polvanov.
Rabbi, at 24:30 you said that “He has to be a unifying figure that EVERYBODY can learn from”…
How right you are! I couldn’t agree more!
The Servant Mashiach to the servant Israel.
    Isaiah 49:5-6
“Now the L-RD, HE Who formed me from the womb to be HIS Servant, says to bring Jacob again to HIM, and to gather Israel to HIM, for I am honorable in the L-RD’s eyes, and my G-D has become my strength. Indeed, HE says, “It is too light a thing that you should be MY Servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you as a light to the nations, that you may be MY Salvation to the end of the earth.””
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭49‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭
Fulfillment acknowledged by Paul the Pharisee in Romans 15:7-8
“Now I say that Messiah has been made a servant of the Circumcision for the truth of G-D, that he might CONFIRM the promises given to the Patriarchs, and that the Gentiles might glorify G-D for HIS mercy. As it is written, “Therefore I will give praise to you among the Gentiles and sing to your name.””
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭15‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭
Rabbi at 26:35 - “There’s always that certain problem of authority trying to squash the potential for Mashiach” …
Sounds like 2000 years ago Achi Yakar.
Rabbi 36:95 “I’ll give you a King and then take Him” …. Sounds awfully familiar… and He’ll return and “everyone will say, ‘Oh THAT’s the guy!’, except it will be that we will look upon Him whom we have pierced… yeah… THAT Guy… The Leprous Messiah no one wanted because the notzrim had no foundation for understanding Mashiach, and didn’t want to stand on Jewish Theology, MONO-Theology, and Jewish Concepts even though Yeshua said
“You worship that which you don’t know. We worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭4‬:‭22‬ ‭
So they stood on their Supersessionist doctrines and turned Messiah into a hypostatic god that negated all of his word, made the Torah obsolete, the Covenants therein obsolete, the Covenant people obsolete, and then wondered why we weren’t receptive to this false gospel on the end of their Crusader’s swords.
37:10 - Full of sin…. “Because Messiah also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to G-D, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit, in whom he also went and preached to the spirits in prison (UMATIR ASURIM) who before were disobedient when G-D waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ship was being built. In it, few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.”
    ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬-‭20‬
You say in 37:40 “All the Jewish people are called Ephraim” yet in context speaking about Mashiach Ben Yosef who is called Ephraim… no different than how Mashiach represents Bnei Israel and is called Israel in Isaiah 49:3 and 2 verses later you see that He is The Servant to the servant in order to bring us back to HASHEM.
To your 42:40 and 43:19 - “For Him Who knew no sin HE made to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of G-D.”
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭21‬ ‭
    49:30 - It’s not strange , it’s prophetic Jeremiah 31:1 “at that time” , it is a future event.
Notzrim is not a random word , “I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”
    ‭‭Messiah speaking in John‬ ‭15‬:‭5‬
The Brit Chadasha in Jeremiah 31:31 onward will be established in the Olam Haba when The King returns as Mashiach Ben David.
The Brit Chadasha is not a covenant for THIS AGE and that is the whole thrust of the book of Hebrews. Hebrews 2:5 makes this crystal clear. It begins by describing Messiah, then metaphors and symbolism of THIS AGE (Hebrews 9:9) with the ultimate thrust being chapter 11 which the entire thing is summed up as HA TIKVAH , The Hope for tomorrow fueling the Faith for today, Hebrews 11:39 that NONE of the Patriarchs received their inheritance in THIS AGE nor will they apart from us and us apart from them Verse 40. Not even Messiah Yeshua! “For THE JOY that was SET BEFORE Him endured the cross” it wasn’t joyous to be the leprous Messiah despised and rejected, when we hid as it were our faces from Him, but He too is awaiting the day that only HASHEM knows as Yeshua clearly says multiple times so that we have time to make shuvah and repent for HE desires that ALL should repent that NONE should perish. (2 Peter 3:9)
1:17:10 “The Right Arm of HASHEM” - “Who has believed our message? To whom has the L-RD’s arm been revealed?”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53‬:‭1‬ ‭… we all know who Isaiah 53 is talking about and if you don’t, may HASHEM reveal HIS Arm to you now.
Maybe 599,999 other Jews who know Yeshua is Mashiach and say “BARUCH HABA B’SHEM HASHEM!”
    I pray it is soon!

As always thank you for your insightful shares of the Jewish traditions. Every time I watch, I learn from you. And certainly I agree that my worldview of Yeshua as Mashiach ben Yosef is based on the beautiful and ancient Hebrew teachings.
    A few comments:
    - Language matters
    * End of Times could be easily be translated as 'Future time"... one is absolute, the other is relative - anything that could occur after the time of Isaiah, about 700 BC. (בְּאַחֲרִית of Isaiah 2)
    * Zion in upper case as a proper noun is the City of David in the Levant. Again, that is a stretch to assume that any other "sunny place" (צִיּוֹן) is not possible. Again, Isaiah could be referring specifically to the City of David or generically to a hill that is a sunny place.
    * Jerusalem in upper case is a proper noun also meaning the City of David. Again, that is a stretch to assume that any other location that "teaches peace" (יְרוּשָׁלַם) is not possible. Again, Isaiah could be referring specifically to the City of David or generically to a city/town/village that teaches peace. Isa 2:3 that talks about the word/law from two sources, being the same City of David is a bit of a poetic stretch.
So Isaiah 2, says some things will happen in the future time. After 700 BC. If you read carefully Isaiah, it speaks of two groups fleeing from the collapse of the kingdom of Zedekiah about 600 BC. One went north to Tarshish and boarded ships. The other went south and traveled in the land of Ishmael (again Kedar in upper case specifically, or generically). Likely the one going south took the Ark of the Covenant. The one going south, it speaks of the daughters having to lift their dresses to cross the wadis. That they were hungry and were protected by the arrows of Kedar and the food/water provided by Tayma (either the actual city or again a generic city/town/village/nomadic group from the south). The one going south went to "river islands" and served an "old nation" (ancient 'goy'). As "river islands", the walls were made low, the rivers were the walls. The gates were open and everyone was welcome. The servant leader used swords to "bully the bullies" and provided refuge to the oppressed (against those that did "grind the face of the poor"). The gates were open to all. And when the bullies saw the servant leader approaching their locations, they would faint on their swords. And when peace came, plough-shares were crafted from the swords. Raised gardens and defensive measures called by archaelogists "Earth works" such as in Bolivia or Tocatins(Brasil). Eventually, the group who went south merged with the group that went north and this may be the fulfillment of the word/law in Isa 2:3 ...
    - 999 Likely Yeshua died in a manner NOT cannonized by Constantine 250+ years later. Isaiah 24+ and Psa 20-24 describe the event. Yeshua died with friends and family. Likely 5000+ people including Yeshua's wife and children. Two "cows" caught in a net? Yeshua announced: "You will kill me. In X days (recorded as 3, but likely 5), you will then destroy this temple." And it happened. The blasphemous nature of the torture of Yeshua and HIS spouse caused the Jews to destroy the temple, but they left the two "cows" in their nets, dead in the street. That innocents died was unimportant to them; that the temple was blasphemed. Isaiah describes HER torture like in birth, but worse. Everyone could hear it. And like the Nehushtan, anyone that looked upon HER was saved. Isaiah describes that when HE dies, 1000 leave (likely Roman centurions). When SHE dies, 10000 leave. Likely Pontius died that day. But when reinforcements came, the city burned. 31 AD, not 70 AD. Pompei erupted. And 5 days later, the resurrected fulfilled Matt 24 so that the City of David was empty except for the poor. And we have nothing in the history for 30+. Part of the blaspheme is this "Sagrada familia" was likely tortured for 40 days, and forced to violate every single law of moses. Two cows with wings were the CHERUBIM in the temple. The cow was the highest form of ancient sacrifice. One cow (bullock or heifer) was more that 5x a sheep/lamb (see the dedication of the temple of Jehovah that Solomon builded).
So if MDE (Messiah Death Event) was a devastation for the Romans/Jews living in the Levant, would they not want to rewrite the history? If the Jewish/Christian God was so powerful, of course Constantine wanted to embrace this God. Ask a geologist when Pompei erupted? 100 AD plus/minus 100 years. Ask a "Roman historian" - November 79 AD based on someone describing the event 30+ years later. Archaeology has demonstrated a large earthquake in the Dead Sea 31 AD plus/minus 5 years, which is missing from the "Roman history". Manipulating timelines is easy for historians, but they have to "recreate" from something: two eagles at doorstep of Herod's temple resulted in 5000 crucified in 4BC; Or 70 AD, 500 crucified per day.
Now compare the Masoretic changes to the Hebrew Bible after (~1000 AD). The "reincarnation" described in Job (at least three lives) is removed, the Original Passover (Egypt) is altered and the "golden calf" sin of Moses at Sinai is added. Just compare to the Septuagiant Greek (from 100 BC). The Jews of the Levant wanted to downplay the symbolism of the cows. Grape-seed oil disappears replaced with "olive oil". The nature of the "assembly line" of the sacrifice system is removed. The mistreatment of animals was the primary reason Yeshua cleansed the temple. The animals were under stress with andrenalin/cortisol in their blood making the sacrificial meat unclean. And this cleansing likely led to the MDE and the nature of it, in the Levant "longhouse" (the STOL).
== Anyway, I love your thinking and your insights. Thank you for this channel. I appreciate that you are trying to demonstrate "inclusivity" with all peoples of the world, and all religions. Your link to the Chinese zodiac was a nice inclusion. QingMing festival, in my worldview, was a celebration of a SuperNova linked to the birth of Yeshua, 5 April 8 BC (the year of the Water Ox). The solar eclipse on 5 May 31 AD was also anchored to a Chinese Emperor going into his palace for 5 days after announcing "a good man has died." Under this math, Yeshua lived 40 years and one month, plus/minus.
    Cheers,

Just how many messiahs do the Jews think they are going to get?

Honestly it's hilarious, they have a new "Messiah" every century or so. If Christians are wrong (they're not) they've been wrong about one Messiah, but the Jews have been wrong about dozens.

Thank you for this teaching. It explains a lot. I understand better why Israel is such a "mixture" of "right and left" at the moment, and why YHWH will have to "drive out" the imposters living there. And, now we see this happening..... Baruch Hashem.....may He "hasten it" in our day. Shalom.

I love visiting different churches and belief systems... I've been in christian, Catholic, Baptist, non-denominational, Presbyterian, Methodist, church of God, Mormons, celebrated with Jewish festivals and Jewish friends...studied and seen other beliefs systems pagans, Ive listened to Buddhist... Read stories in Hindu.... You know there's a lot of interconnected things that nobody wants to admit or see... A pagan group did a ritual similar to the Christian communion...and some beliefs in Hindu and Islam can be found in the Bible.... There's a story similar to Hindu in revelations in the Bible... Christianity kinda acts like a hub for a lot of beliefs... though they won't tell you that...

I greatly enjoyed this teaching because understanding the identity of Ephraim and Manshe has been a passion of mine since 1985. I clearly saw in my younger years as a Christian that Ephraim relates to the Christian church i.e. HaNotzrim, the Melo Hagoyim/Fulness of the gentiles, as prophesied over Ephraim by Yacov. How prophetic that it was the rejected son of Israel (Yoseph) who was received by the Nations and his Seed (spiritual seed as represented in Ephraim) was grafted into the Covenant of Israel, through Messiah Ben Yoseph. Yehoshua , HalleluYAH!! But sad to say, Ephraim, the Melo HaGoyim became idolators and refused to obey the Torah given to Moshe. You can read this prophecy in Psalm 78: 9-10
    Bereshit 48:

"The great minds are always excommunicated", can't agree more. And interesting enough, Jesus was said to have said something similar in the gospels. I'm no christian, nor a sympathiser of christianity. I simply think it might be fair to separate Jesus from christianity (as a religion made up by his gentile followers, who have been misrepresenting him all along), and examine this guy and his teaching independently. He might just had been an innovative rabbi like Vilna Gaon and Ramhal.

One of my favourite books on this subject is SGF Brandon's 'Jesus and the Zealots', in which he convincingly argues that Jesus was one of the kana'im, the "ultra-orthodox" zealots of the day. His teachings and message were totally twisted in the decades and centuries after his death. Spoke about it in the 'Judaism vs. Christianity' class here: th-cam.com/video/Jgf7hBGqzJM/w-d-xo.html

In order to not die, the Messiah had to conquer Death and grab the keys to Death and the Grave, and that's what he did. That's why he will not die! He already has and was resurrected to Life with life within himself.

40:41 speaking of linage; is there ever an instance where the firstborn is favored? In Christianity, there is a focus on the importance of God sending his firstborn. As i think back, every time regarding the firstborn son; its seems that firstborns are not people favored by God (cain, reuben, manassah, ishmael, jacob, i dont know the names of others).

In Christian Bible, the last book is called Revelation, and the prophecy foretold there is eerily similar to the way Rabbinic Judaism explains how two messiahs would come. The first one will be wounded in war, magically healed, and then another one comes and tells people to worship the first. They will rule for a very short while. However, these characters are the antagonists in that book, and this happens before the real messiah (Yeshua/Yahusha ben Yosef u'Maryam) who was rejected by his own people the first time around (as foretold by Yeshayahu) comes back the second time to fulfill the role of the so-called "Mashiach ben David", and then Judgment Day - the whole nations will already know his name and be prepared for the New Jerusalem. Not sure if Rabbinic Jews are familiar with this one. It seems the writer of the book (Apostle Yochann) had anticipated this 2000 years ago.
Messiah already changed the whole world the first time, at the right time before 70 AD, when he came riding on a donkey in Bethlehem as foretold by Zakaryah, performed miracles as Yeshayahu prophesied, and was rejected by the Rabbinic authorities upon the false accusation of blasphemy and pierced for his people's sins, until he became a blessing for all nations. And he will change it again the second time, worldwide.
I was a total atheist, but there was no confusion on whom all of these prophecies were pointing to once I learned about them. Hopefully one day the Rabbinic Jews will see it. Shalom.

Which ideally make it to the tables of shabbos rosh chodesh amd yomtov etc
The three blessings said in the grace after meals correlate to three authors Moses and the splitting of the red sea which is evident by vowel segol of the word מלך Joshua which is evident by the vowel kamatz of the word מלך and king David which is evident by the vowel chirik of the word ימלך etc.

53:10 Christianity is the sitra achra of Moshiach Ben Yosef. The Christian writings are basically aggaddot, from their perspective, about Moshiach Ben Yosef; some of it kosher some of it's not.
Esav was also a similar aspect of Moshiach Ben Yosef, but his middot ruled over him. Only the holy head of Esav returns. This is why some Christians are starting to return to Torah; they're the returning head of Esav. This is geirus. The sheva Mitzvot should be taught as the gate for those returning. Ger toshav, even though not fully accepted today, is ktsat geirut(Rebbeinu Gershon on Kritot 9a)
