Yeah, got the feeling of flying spot on with your commentary. Not that I've flown in such a contraption before...that Jean Yves seems like a great old guy. Thanks as always for your video and thoughts!
Thanks Justine. I like your commentaries too and your sense of humor. I tend to babble sometimes, but hey, it's my channel, my point-of-view and my liberty to express it. Right? BTW, I've never slid down a slide from a super f*ckng yacht. That looked like a blast. Especially seeing Robbie's expressions.
Wow Alex I'm still smiling that was very good, every time you go ashore seems you have the best dam time, I'm sure you have to work at it a bit but sure comes across nicely on the big screen, you got to be a character to appreciate another character, the flying was really fun, the music good all good
Thanks Steve. It's really pretty easy to simple meet people. Especially when you are alone. You jut go out there and say Hi. The languages help too. I will stress that. Even a few words does good.
Surprised no one told you by now that your bowsprit is not for anchoring on. It's for deploying and retrieving your anchor. Once anchored, your line goes through the chock at 1:15, not stressing your hardware.
We've been working on this for several months now. And I agree with you. When I'm anchored, I put a "main de fer" or stainless steel grip on the chain which is tied to a line and fixed on one of my bow cleats. Therefore relieving pressure on the chain.
@@WindedVoyage yeah Alex, Jean Yves little bungalow, the story about Playa Quemada and never leaving...... a true dream!! Just a great feeling story... like that could be me someday... except with a sailboat at hand! Thanks for all you do.
I can envision a documentary of your following the festival around the world. ..... then show it@ all those yuppety festival "competitions" like Sundance etc and watch the judges squirm ( On camera of course)
Recommended by Mantus anchors. Will hold my 10 ton Galopin in 50kts. I dragged anchor twice, it was enough to go with Mantus, recommendations. I do use a 16kg Danforth for easy daytime anchorages.
I know this video is about times past but that anchor roller thingy is a terrible design. I hope you have figured that out and returned to a more realistic design.
It's been a roller thingy ride this bow-sprit. everyone has an opinion and I'm at the mercy to those who are much more well informed than I. I feel I've got good advice and it will all work out. Thanks for your input.
Body suit babe is THE talent in that band... Awesome video again.
They are brother and sister.

Flying through them today! This was an EXCELLENT episode. The story at the end was amazing.
Thanks again Chris. Is that the end with the 3 French pirates?

@@chrisgeorge2717 Jean Yves and his wife were great when we were there. Haven't heard from him. Not the FB type. Hope he's good.

What a white knuckle ride! Loved your thoughts and commentary, echoed my own as I watched.

That is a good channel concept... going from one festival to another. Only to end up at a festival that judges festivals:-)
