You deserve the 90k so much!! Your recommendations are always 10/10 and your content is always so comforting and lovely x (also love from a fellow Welshie!! 🏴)
this was a great start to finals week : ) I definitely need to read A Memory Called Empire. Right now I’m reading Portrait of a Thief and She Gets the Girl and re-reading House in the Cerulean Sea, and I’m watching Dr. Who, She-Ra, and Obi-Wan Kenobi
omg i totally couldn't stop thinking of jamie campbell bower as jace wayland either! i don't even know his character's name in the show because he's just jace to me at this point
omg bestie you litteraly made my day with this videoo! i genuinely love for energy and the way you talk about books with such passion!! i live for you being the real mvp the good girls guide to murder gets so much hype and it really servess! unlike many books that get too much attention i feel like it really deserves the hype so much and it is just that good✨
I am in an epic reading slump and it's bad for me. You're my inspiration lmao. I also agree about Max, El, Nancy, and Robin being the MVPs of volume 1. The girls really were clutch this season on Stranger Things. El and Max brought so much heart to their roles and Robin and Nancy figured shit out.
Absolutely amazing, what a crazy (but good crazy) mix of genres and interest. I bow down to this range, you truly inspire us to widen the horizon 😊🙌🏼 greeting from Germany and keep up, the 100k are waiting
I’m so excited by the idea of you talking books and gaming on twitch, you definitely already have a follower on that platform when you decide to take the leap there!
HAPPY 90K SUBS I just wanted to say that your videos inspire me and encourage me to pursue my major (English Literature). You have shown me that I can be an English major and not be a failure. Thank you so much
kenobi is so good so far! i think u will love it! (also i’m in such a huge reading slump rn bc of my exams and ur giving me motivation to read thank youu)
I know this was mostly about books and I value your opinion on them so much, but YOUR THOUGHTS ON STAR TREK STRANGE NEW WORLDS ARE MY THOUGHTS! Like ... exactly the same.
I had to read Noughts and Crosses for school when I was 12 and I loved it so much. A friend and me were the only ones who continued the series because the ending killed us and I was trying very hard not to sob my eyes out in class
If you’re into manga series, I’m currently reading and watching Jujutsu Kaisen and I have a feeling you might like it a lot. I really love your content and watching your videos always gives me a pick me up. 🧡
You raving about "The Fifth Season" makes me want to pick it up really soon. *lol* And wow 35 books?! That's really a lot. XD Also congrats on reaching another BookTube milestone! 💜I'm so happy for you! =)
i really want to get to reading the fifth season bc n.k. jemisin is one of my fav authors!! a memory called empire seems v interesting as well. also in terms of games if u havent played it i highly recommend hades ITS SOO GOOD i feel like i recommended it to literally everyone ik bc. i lov it so much
yay pride and prejudice! so fun and hope you watch the lizzie bennet diaries now that you have the context. i want to reread it soon bc its been too long. want to read a memory called empire soon, bc only heard good things. :]
as far as manga goes i definitely recommend Our Dreams at Dusk. it's only 4 volumes long, has some of the most beautiful art I've seen in manga, and follows characters that frequent a drop-in centre. It's got some of the most genuine queer representation I've ever come across!
Congrats reading 35 novels!! In two months. Sometimes, I feel like im not reading enough then I should, but 😅 it's the mood reader in me. Read two novels in total, then realize I literally binge a manga series. Volume 1-32 of "Black Clover" 😅😅 Last May
Thirty five is so many! I wish I could read that many books in two months, I think that's about what I've read for the entire year. May I suggest the fantasy series A Chorus of Dragons if you're looking for a new epic fantasy? It's very queer and the author must have plotted the whole series out ahead of time because almost nothing in that series is a throwaway line. Also, I'm looking forward to hearing you on The Newest Olympian next week! Have a great day!
If you’re into fantasy, found family, AMAZINGLY well developed villains- I highly recommend ‘Nevermoor’ by Jessica Townsend! While I do hate comparing books, many say it’s a bit like ‘Harry Potter’. While I’m not of that opinion, it’s still a great book (the other two books in the series are wonderful, too. Lgbtq+ rep!) I just found my way here, and have been bingeing some of your videos. Your channel is amazing! I never knew how much i needed to watch more booktubers 😅
Congrats on 35 books! That's incredible! 🥳 I am adding A Clash of Steel to my TBR right away, I love Treasure Island so much, but every great story needs a queer update in my opinion 😊🏳️🌈
YOU GOTTA BE FUCKIN' KIDDING ME!?!? HERE I AM BARELY READING ANYTHING BECAUSE OF THIS TERRIBLE READING SLUMP, AND HERE'S JOEL READING A WHOLE ASS LIBRARY! Anyway, I'm proud of you for reading so much and for giving us such amazing content. Also, the fit is bomb, you look as beautiful as ever. Btw, can you tell me which Stranger Things character is your favorite? I need it for religious purposes.
If anyone here hasn't read the Noughts and Crosses series then I would highly recommend it - it's an eye-opening read and it's content is still very relevant today. For those who don't know it's a dystopian novel where the racist attitudes of our society are switched so that white people (noughts) are inferior to black people (crosses). The series has 6 books that take place over a number of years and we get to see their society slowly change and improve. It's one of my favourite book series so if anyone decides to read it I hope that you love Malorie Blackman's writing as much as I did!
Out of curiosity, have you read any Agatha Christie? it's very dated in some things and she is a very clear racist but if you want light-hearted stuff combined with surprisingly good mystery it's for you. She's one of the originally four now five official queens of crime. The others were Dorothy Sayers (haven't read her work), Ngaio Marsh (heard a radio play of one or two of her books) and Margery Allingham, and the fifth late addition was P. D. James (only read the Mistletoe Murders and other stories book - definitely recommend those four).
and i thought reading 9 books in may was a feat 😩 no but seriously it was the most amount of books i’ve ever read in a month so i’m still proud
You should be
That's awesome!!
