Yes they did; the '82 and '83 LU5 (CrossFire) came in F-bodies (Camaros and Firebirds.) There were only fourty 1983 Corvettes made, of which 39 were used in crash testing and demolished. The only existing one is at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. (It has different wheels and an analog dash.)
Just found your channel and watch this video on Chevy TBI injectors my question is can I send you my whole TBI off of the engine do you rebuild the whole damn thing send it back and I just bolt it on and go??
does anyone know the size of the torx bolts that hold on the fuel rail and injectors? I was replacing one of the injectors and gaskets and wouldn't you know it ... one of the longer screws went flying !!!! just one bolt is holding up this easy fix
there was only 82 and 84 corvettes, no 83 were made - so you either saw an 82, which I have the CE 1982 or an 1984, those are the only years the same crossfire injection was done, in 1985 they changed it... I am having TBI issues, so I hope this man can help me...
What are the little black plastic pieces with mesh screens in them and where do they go? I have a 1994 tbi I rebuilt and I couldnt find that part on my original tbi anywhere.
John Davis right on the side of the injector body. You pull the old ones out with tweezers and press the new ones in. The have little ledges on them that lock them in place.
John Davis they are filters. Not the main filters though. They've been in every throttle body rebuild/repair kit I've seen but the plastic cellophane wrapper around the box the rebuild kit comes in is full of static and it's loose around the parts box so they work they're way out and between the plastic abd bottom of box or stuck to the sides. Very easily lost! It's lame that they don't put them and the o-rings inside a little baggy in the kit. If you not bought the fuel pressure diaphragm kit they aren't in there but should be with the throttle body kit that comes with everything.
Sorry, I just reread your comment. I see your saying your injectors didn't have them. I bet they did but you didn't realize they are there or someone else rebuilt them prior and forgot them. They are extremely small! Like maybe 2 millimeters. They look like holes in the side or part of the manufacturing process of the part.
sciencemansandera Marvel mystery oil is amazing stuff !!! I use it in everything gasoline operated that I own. No clogged injectors in my vehicle nor oil sludge either .
I have an 88 Chevy that's running rough especially after it gets warm. The injectors are spraying a good cone, but I think maybe they aren't putting through enough gas. Is there an easy way to check them. Money is tight right now, so any input is greatly appreciated.

Do a full sea foam treatment and clean the injectors. See how it goes bud
Anybody know how to seat the inje tors into the injector bowl
Lubricate the black rubber seals and seat them first in the bowl, then push the injectors in until they are seated.
can you repair/clean a marine TBI? we have a customer that has a mercruiser 454... one injector is spaying but the other is not...
