I'm glad you said humanity. I believe that no life matters until All life matters. There is only one race, human. And like other species, God likes variety.
The Pine, Redwood, Eucalyptus = Tree's.
Poodle, Shepherd, Labradors = dogs. Colors, shapes & sizes = beautiful tapestry called Human Race.
To differentiate ourselves by pigmentation we hand the devil his only real weapon.... Division.
I don't want to be conquered or fighting over Ism"s be what unites humanity. Praying "us" & "them' become "we".
We got to be able to handle the truth, start in the mirror, love having everything to do with it. Otherwise we'll never get along, just insist on fulfilling The Book.

I am white, but I will fight too against racism, we are all brothers, we are all human, we all have rights, we all have feelings. We all should have what we deserve just for the fact of being human beings!

I haven't watched the film yet but I'm already in tears. I heard stories from my dad saying that he was forbidden to step his foot in places because the color of his skin. He's got so many deep and hidden scars and most of them is because he was told he was not good enough, that his color would stop him from achieving greatness. MLK fought this fight as christians should do and it's not over. He's an example of how Jesus taught us to live and fight and his blood was not shed in vain. The Glory belongs to the Lord and one day all the pain, suffering and struggle will be over and every person will bow to Jesus. And that same glory will be his for the eternity.

Amen to that! I saw this movie opening weekend (On Martin Luther King Day) and it was such a hit, everyone in the theater started clapping during the end credits! It was a really inspirational film that really gave Dr. King his justice. It also makes me honor all those who went through those difficult times (including your father). I hope you'll get the chance to see it soon and have a great day.

You're 18 which at the very least (these days) your father would be in his 30s (born in the 80s) which by no means has he felt the divide between white and black like in the 50s. "I heard stories from my dad saying that he was forbidden to step his foot in places because the color of his skin", blatant lies and ignorance from the youth. Sounds like your dad took a story from Rosa Parks sitting in the back of the bus which is a disgrace for her, and those who truly fought. The other ignorant comments who, "amen" are just as retarded as your lie as they fail in basic math and history. Something that is so important in our culture, let alone the African American community has simply become a conversational piece that revolves around dumb asses like you and those who want to add their simple 2 cent gratification. Such a shame as you take advantage boasting about a part of history that is so important to make you feel relevant.

@@yameii3065 it's because God isn't real. He is just a symbol that people believe in because they cant carry their own weight of on their shoulders. God was never real. What was real was the belief that a spirit can make everything better for the believers, and the fact that the belief is the reason people crumble when their spirit won't help them, or they feel that their spirit betrayed them. If you feel that God doesn't help you, then you don't believe in god. You believe in yourself, and your ability to move forward, past the preaching of a bible that was man made to give false rules about the universe, past the belief that one spirit will save us all, and past the believers who refuse to carry their own weight because of a belief that their spirit is above all, and will save them from their trouble or struggle.
That's my two cents about it. I don't give a shit if your religious or not, but when you use your religion to make excuses about problems in your life, then you aren't religious.

Saw the movie. It was awesome. It shows how black people were treated and the struggle for freedom. This song is fantastic. The ethnicity of blacks are strong because we fought for freedom, end to slavery, beginning of integration, etc. Right now, we are reliving the past again with white cops killing black men like Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, Tamar Rice, and Eric Garner. We all need to stand together and fight together. We are fighting each other when we are all in the human race. We will continue to fight till all rights fulfilled. We are not each other's enemies. We are a unity. We are killing each other. We all need to stand together. African American people are strong and can do anything the white man can do. Look at Barack Obama, Gabby Douglas, MLK! We all need to congratulate each other. Lets be one!

None of this would have been a problem if we had all stayed within our own societies. I'm not condoning white America's conduct, but I'm saying it was utterly predictable, and would have happened, and will happen, in any society that suddenly absorbs a large foreign population. Mass immigration primarily benefits the super rich, who either loose an excess population of impoverished peasants they don't need, or who gain a population of non-unionized, dirt-cheap labor.
The fact that Asians and other foreigners were forced to leave their countries in the first place, instead of being provided livelihoods in their homeland, is a wrong in itself.
To each family a home. To each people a homeland.

As everyone is elated to continue pointing out. But what about the history of warfare and conquest in all the other races? Does anybody even know about those histories? Does anybody even care? Or is everyone just looking for any and all ammunition to fire against white people to satisfy some kind of personal vendetta?
Singling out white people and acting like our race is the only race that has ever conquered another society is, quite simply, racist in itself.

It's not just my family. There are a fuck ton of whites, now and in history, who aren't in on the conspiracy, or whatever you want to call it, and who suffer from the tidal forces of the global economic system. You know how many whites owned slaves? 2%. That's what your hatred of white people is essentially based on: because 2% of our great-great-great grandparents owned slaves.
Refuting facts like this with bullshit like "you need to go to the library" is crap. The truth is that you just want a reason hate white people because you have an inferiority complex.

One day when the glory comes
It will be ours, it will be ours
Oh one day when the war is won
We will be sure, we will be sure
    Oh glory (Glory, glory)
    Oh (Glory, glory)
Hands to the Heavens, no man, no weapon
Formed against, yes glory is destined
Every day women and men become legends
Sins that go against our skin become blessings
The movement is a rhythm to us
Freedom is like religion to us
    Justice is juxtapositionin' us
Justice for all just ain't specific enough
One son died, his spirit is revisitin' us
Truant livin' livin' in us, resistance is us
That's why Rosa sat on the bus
That's why we walk through Ferguson with our hands up
When it go down we woman and man up
They say, "Stay down", and we stand up
Shots, we on the ground, the camera panned up
King pointed to the mountain top and we ran up
One day when the glory comes
It will be ours, it will be ours
Oh one day when the war is won
We will be sure, we will be sure
    Oh glory (Glory, glory)
    Oh (Glory, glory)
Now the war is not over, victory isn't won
And we'll fight on to the finish, then when it's all done
We'll cry glory, oh glory (Glory, glory)
    Oh (Glory, glory)
We'll cry glory, oh glory (Glory, glory)
    Oh (Glory, glory)
Selma's now for every man, woman and child
Even Jesus got his crown in front of a crowd
They marched with the torch, we gon' run with it now
Never look back, we done gone hundreds of miles
From dark roads he rose, to become a hero
Facin' the league of justice, his power was the people
Enemy is lethal, a king became regal
Saw the face of Jim Crow under a bald eagle
The biggest weapon is to stay peaceful
We sing, our music is the cuts that we bleed through
Somewhere in the dream we had an epiphany
Now we right the wrongs in history
No one can win the war individually
It takes the wisdom of the elders and young people's energy
Welcome to the story we call victory
The comin' of the Lord, my eyes have seen the glory
One day when the glory comes
It will be ours, it will be ours
Oh one day when the war is won
We will be sure, we will be sure
    Oh glory (Glory, glory)
    Oh (Glory, glory)
    Oh glory (Glory, glory)
    Hey (Glory, glory)
When the war is won, when it's all said and done
    We'll cry glory (Glory, glory)
    Oh (Glory, glory)
    RIP GEORGE FLOYD

This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. As another commenter said, it is SO powerful!! I had never heard it until about a week ago, now I've seen Selma (awesome movie!!), and I just can't get enough of this song - Common is awesome, and John Legend is incredible. What a beautiful collaboration from these 2 wonderful performers. You have to see the movie this was written for, unless you're old enough to have lived through it, which, unfortunately, I was not. I wasn't born until 1969, but I damn well for sure would have walked across that bridge with everyone else if I could have. Bunch of racist hicks. I've been told not much has changed in Alabama which is discouraging, but maybe they'll finally see the light.

    • @brockwalker6629
      @brockwalker6629 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I live in alabama. We arent racist as a society. Its individual people that still remember those times and wish those times still existed. I don't believe in racism, and that all people are created equal, but it isn't fair that our state is seen as one of the most racist.

    • @Morpheus903
      @Morpheus903 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

@@brockwalker6629 I've never actually been to Alabama. I was basing what I said off of what an elderly black woman who is from Alabama said to me. She remembers before and after. I didn't mean to insult the whole state of Alabama. I was just pretty worked up from seeing the movie. I shouldn't have singled out an entire state. Obviously, not everyone is racist in Alabama and I know that, but on the other hand, just from what I've been told, if I were black, the South would be one of the last places I'd want to live. Just keeping it real there! lol

All people of all races struggle, remember what MLK jr. Said he wants everyone to come together not just African Americans but all races. The ignorant people will comment when they do but so many Caucasian people have fought to seek your freedom as well wether in interracial relationships and it because they felt segregation is wrong. Don't ignore every race and put ones before another, everyone has struggles

Im white, and Ill say this: if white people liked it, it wouldn't be the truth. He's speaking the truth, and white people (and I say that as Malcolm X put it, as the mentality of white supremacy systematically instilled into our society) won't understand. They won't, because they have no idea what it's like for black people, or poc. Besides, youtube comments are the worst, and for that Im sorry.

Just looking through this..It hurts...so so badly..! I have one question? We pray all this time for it to end however..God still hasn’t stopped it?! Why? “Wait and it’ll get better!” Isn’t an excuse. We’ve waited for millions of years. No justice. No Empathy. For those who simply did nothing to deserve all the gun shots..or all the pain..Not even to die when they ain’t in pain. Now tell me, why? Why are we the only ones who are standing, however we haven’t seen any signs that god is also acting? People at my church say “Gods letting satan their time.” “Satan will be locked up for 1,000 years and then let our again.” Tell me I’d 1,000 years anything near countless years?! Huh? Didn’t think so. And if god really cared (not saying he don’t) Would he let satan back out after all this time? Will we have to go through an endless loop of pain?! Someone please explain this to me.. I’m only 10 years old, and even I see this as utter bullying! Actually, abuse. #BlackLivesMatter

@@yameii3065 Dry your tears...locate a Holy Bible and please read Deuteronomy Chapter 28. This will explain why all of the nations conspired against us, the so called black people in the Americas and thru out the four corners of this Earth plane. We were terribly disobedient to our Creator and Father and because of it, a judgement was set against us. We have endured all of the injustices which you, at your tender age, are aware of some of them. Good news! Although the injustices seem to continue, our punishment is almost over. Our Creator is flipping the script and the judgments are coming upon the gentiles; read Joel Chapter 3. Our true preparation is described in Isaiah Chapter 60. Peace!

One day when the glory comes
It will be ours, it will be ours
One day when the war is won
We will be sure, we will be sure
    Oh glory
    [Common:]
Hands to the Heavens, no man, no weapon
Formed against, yes glory is destined
Every day women and men become legends
Sins that go against our skin become blessings
The movement is a rhythm to us
Freedom is like religion to us
    Justice is juxtapositionin' us
Justice for all just ain't specific enough
One son died, his spirit is revisitin' us
True and livin' livin' in us, resistance is us
That's why Rosa sat on the bus
That's why we walk through Ferguson with our hands up
When it go down we woman and man up
They say, "Stay down", and we stand up
Shots, we on the ground, the camera panned up
King pointed to the mountain top and we ran up
    [John Legend:]
One day when the glory comes
It will be ours, it will be ours
One day when the war is won
We will be sure, we will be sure
    Oh glory
Now the war is not over, victory isn't won
And we'll fight on to the finish, then when it's all done
    We'll cry glory, oh glory
    We'll cry glory, oh glory
    [Common:]
Selma is now for every man, woman and child
    [John Legend:]
One day when the glory comes
It will be ours, it will be ours
One day when the war is won
We will be sure, we will be sure
    Oh glory
    [John Legend:]
When the war is won, when it's all said and done
    We'll cry glory, oh glory
