  • PAULSBORO, NJ (Gloucester County) - Early Sunday afternoon, as the New Year started; Taskforce 17 was dispatched to the 200 block of Billingsport avenue for a reported detached garage fire. Chief 17-01 arrived and confirmed smoke showing from the structure and requested the first due incoming apparatus to secure a water supply and lead off with an 1 3/4 handling. Engine 6-13 (West Deptford) arrived first due and went to work. Additional units from the mutual aid companies arrived to assist with firefighting operations and overhaul (Gibbstown, East Greenwich, West Deptford, Paulsboro). Fire was brought under control in a short amount of time. No injuries were reported while the incident occurred. The fire is under investigation by the G.C.F.M’s Office.

I been trying to figure out the mystery of the billingsport fire company. Do they still run out of that tiny station that looks like a house. With 2 blue engines?

Good job there. Breached that overhead door quick and a great knock down of the fire.
