  • The first CIRPASS public event “Shaping the future of the Digital Product Passport" brought together European industries, policymakers, R&D centers, standardisation organisations, circular economy and sustainability consultancies, digital solution providers and more to discuss the future development of the Digital Product Passport (DPP). The virtual event attracted almost 900 participants.
Funded by the European Commission under the Digital Europe programme, CIRPASS brings together 30 experienced partners to prepare the ground for the gradual piloting and deployment of DPPs from 2023 onwards, focusing on developing a roadmap for prototypes in three value chains: electronics, batteries and textiles.
During two dynamic hours, 2 panel discussions took place with speakers from the European Commission and the project consortium who are leading different work streams and sectors. The discussions focused on the development of the Digital Product Passport (DPP), challenges and opportunities, the role of CIRPASS as well as the DPP prototypes for three key sectors electronics, batteries and textiles. The panels were followed by Q&A sections with many interactive questions from the participants.

Great session. Keep in mind that 25 views easily equals a ton of CO2 emission saved. (Compared to a conference in person)
