GW have always done things like this with heavy weapons. Always. It should come as no suprise to anyone thats liked the hobby for more than five minutes.
If I end up playing Sisters I'm just going kitbash / 3d print extra heavy weapons. Not one but of shame about it
Retributors can have 4 heavy weapons where did you get 3?
He ment 3 as in selections. Bolter/melta/flamer.
I’m just going declare that they are all multi meltas, I plan on getting 2 units for my army so I’ll just make one have meltas and the other have flamers and declare them all as meltas.

Only 2 of each heavy weapons on the retributor sprue is my one and only complaint with the whole Sororita release, espacially considering they only have a choice 3 different types of weapons. The Marines devastators at least had 2 weapons each of 6 different types, so 12 in one box - and you could easyly mount most of them on the Standard Marine kit of the time. At least they could have added a third mulitmetla...
They want your money. Period. They don't care about being underhanded, especially when they know you will pay for them regardless. Want them to listen? Don't buy their products, then they'll listen.
Word. I haven't bought a single thing from GW except a handful of paints. All my models and bits are second-hand, brand new. Saved more than half of what it would have cost me to buy through GW. It's a blatant scam what they're doing.
Truth. Imo people who support them deserve to have their wallets raped. Ima just keep buying my shit used at half price or less ty!
@John Finucane Not necessarily. The Battle Sister squad box has 10 Sisters + a Cherub and:
1. has enough bits to turn all 10 sisters into Celestians and/or Dominions
2. has 4 storm bolters, 4 flamers, and 4 meltaguns - enough to fully equip one 10-model Dominion squad OR two 5-model squads OR two 5-model Celestian/Battle Sister squads
3. has one heavy bolter and one heavy flamer - again letting you build one 10-model squad or two 5-model squads of Celestians/Battle Sisters with a heavy weapon each
However, if you want to equip your Celestians or Battle Sisters with a multi-melta, you MUST buy the Retributor box as there are no multi-meltas in the box.
$60 USD for 10 models + tons of bits vs 55 for 5 models and nowhere near as many bits or options.

I don't really see that much of a problem with two heavy weapons in a 5 woman set, since if you just get two you will have 4 HBolters, 4 HFlamers, and 4 Multimeltas...with the 10 bodies. GW is a miniature company first and games company second, this makes them more money. Now the real sin that they have done was with the Scions kit with only 1 plasmagun, and it was in a unique pose so you would have a ton of duplicate troopers.
I understand that some feel that you should have all the options in the kit, but this is just my opinion.
I use to play GKs back in the day, and you have to buy 2 sets of 5 to make a 4 psycannon, psilencer, or incinerator...pretty much the same issue related to specials.
The Battle Sister box comes with 4 of each special weapon, letting you arm them as a full unit of Dominions straight from the box, but no multi-meltas, requiring you to buy the Retributor box if you want to arm your Celestians and Battle Sister squads with one.

No need to even buy the RET-ri-Butors. You get a Heavy Flamer and Heavy Bolter in a Battle Sisters Squad. Just buy 4 boxes of those and use the extra melta guns to turn the heavy flamers into Multi meltas! Turn 10 of the sisters into retributors and 30 into SSBS.

I dont see the problem - back when I got started there wasnt even one (1) of each heavy weapon in the devastator Box - you had to buy Blisters, too. Having two of each imho is a really good step forward from like 20yrs ago
If they sold a blister pack of just heavy weapons that seems like it'd go down better.
But GW doesn't really sell bits anymore.

Yeah but comparing things to 20 years ago, instead of for instance comparing it to the Space Marine Devastator box. Yes they only have two of each heavy weapon, but they have 3 more heavy weapons, so that's six more heavy weapons.
These boxes could have easily had 3 or 4 copies of each heavy weapon.
you have no clue how easy it is for them to make 2 more of each of those tiny weapons in plastic. it literally costs 0.01 cents to add those.
heck the normal sister box comes with 4 storm bolters etc, they already assuming you make squads of 5.
here they just totally messed up. blisters back in the day (5th ed for me) were actually cheaper, 8 euro for 1 model, for 32 euro you had a full group with whatever weapon you wanted. sister superior was 6,5 euro, so, 38 in total. Now for 45 euro you get less.
Not really a problem to be honest. If you want 4 heavy bolters or 4 heavy flamers, you will have those since you will have a lot of sisters of battle squads which contain one of each. If you want multimeltas, again look at the sisters of battle squad kit. Take off the ends of the meltaguns (4 in each box), take of the ends of the heavy flamers in this box and glue the melta ends on the heavy flamers. Bam, you've got every loadout.
No different than the Havoc and Terminator boxes, really. This is why third party bits will always thrive.
And now in 10th it's even worse on the tabletop: they cost a lot more then the devastator squad (per model) and are way weaker then the devastators
This is nothing new, the scion boxes not only dont have enough weapons for an actual squad. The plasma gun is being carried in a way that makes any squad with 4 look bad.
What your saying is true. But with a bit of bluestuff, and greenstuff you could in theory make a copy of the gun and arms you want. Edit: actually after watching further and seeing the sprue, you may be able to make copies with just green stuff.
So what you don’t have all of the guns. This is still far better than what I had to go through to get fully loaded out Ret squads 10 years ago. Purchasing one model at a time in blisters for $12-15 a piece.
Or run 2 ret squads? Or just declare at the start of the game theyre playing as a type of weapon?
if you wanna play a tournament with them the models need to be equipped with the correct weapon
In all honesty, it's not too terrible that there is 2 of each weapon when any of them is viable in play. Only 8 boxes are needed assuming you want to be WYSIWYG. With that being said that's 3 units with the max output of Heavy/Special weapons since the "Rule of 3" is highly unlikely to change. That is more than enough Retributors any Adeptus Sororitas player will really need...
They could've just added 1 of each if they really wanted to be that cheeky about it, but they put in 2 of each, which is what was advertised. That's better than most models out there when a box of said unit only has 1 bit that is the bread and butter that ranges anywhere from 35-60$. I've been waiting for this treatment for 10yrs... At least we finally have plastic sisters, and it's not just the Battle Squad but 90% of the range. You could at least be grateful it finally happened, (Long over due mind you) but at least it finally happened...
At least the guard heavy weapon teams give you 3 options for each heavy weapon. Too bad the command set isn't the same...

Love the video! I actually got very upset today over trying to make a list that revolve around what comes in the sisters boxes! Im also wondering if this effects any of the other sisters boxes? Like the dominions and celestians are kind of similar right? In the normal sisters box can you make 5 of each? Does it have enough sister superiors for that? Any other tips on this would be great!

It’s because they expect people to buy more than one and spend over 200 to just get every option. Same thing happened to the chaos terminators and the havocs. Enjoy this hobbyists. GW is using the oldest trick in the book to make you have to spend to play the game.
And Devastators, Heavy wrapons for Skitarii, and all options beside blades and Shuriken pistol in the Harlequins Troupe box. It doesn't make 1 of each option in a 5man kit, that is so extremely many spare bits.
My 3d printer just paid for itself seven times over now that I have this to price against!
What I don't get about all games workshop models is how low every model is on ammo... Some Chaos Space Marines just have 5 shells in their bolter which is the same size as a 30 mag of the bolter... Wth is going on here hahhahaa. Also on this sister has more heavy bolter shells outside the magazine than in the magazine.... Let that sink in....

The Battle Sister squad box doesn't even come with a Multi-melta. To arm your Battle Sisters or Celestians with one, you have to buy the Retributor box. That's probably worse than the 1 chaincannon per box

@@cthuludreams1 Not really, 40k lore since 5th ed is a cheap and easy as it gets! Finecast was just as crappy as any other modeling company. The nice thing is that the other systems don't financially trap you into continuing to play their games. So many continue to play simply to justify their investment into the game, instead of looking at the game critically.
