- In today's video I take you through my race experience at Grafman Middle Distance triathlon, the English Championships. My second half ironman distance triathlon, I had some good and some bad takeaways and lots of lessons learned!

Nice video buddy, good to hear how you got on I did the Grafham as my first half Ironman came out with a 5:18 so not near you boys but a lot of learning for me …really enjoyed. It definitely gonna hit 70.3 is as my target racing … it’s not until you do an actual race start learning with your weaknesses and strengths are. I had an amazing bike let myself down on the swim and the run so guess that’s what I’m focusing on… outlaw full before that 🤪

Still not a bad race regardless! If your cycling shoes fit well they should be fine to ride with no socks. Sometimes not easy getting stocks onto wet feet!
No definitely not bad in the slightest! I’m super happy with the overall performance! I’ve never had any issues with my shoes feeling too uncomfortable so I assume they fit okay, I’ll have to give it a go. You’re absolutely right, socks are not easy at all to get onto wet feet, especially when you’re trying to rush haha

What do you think of the Altra Vanish Carbon?
I really like them actually! They feel a lot stiffer than the vanish tempos, but with a similar shape to them. Almost like a middle ground between the vanish tempos and escalante pro racers which I love! Definitely going to be what I race in for a while I think
