I lived in Cohasset. Our son, a disabled vet lived in the house he grew up in. That house was lost last night apparently. This young lady did her stand up near the Chico Airport, miles from the fire. The rest was shot by a photographer. I was also a photog for the local CBS affiliate in Chico.

What’s the cause for the one massive , accelerated flame depicted ? Did the fire encounter a fuel source or something? Also, what motivated someone to push a vehicle, on fire, off a cliff ?kind of motive would cause a man to set an ablaze vehicle off a cliff? Even if intoxicated that’s remarkably bizarre and vile!

And the USA has the ability to slow down these fires if they just had a fleet of about 20 Air National Guard 747 Global Supertankers.
These 747 Supertankers could knock down the fires fast and give fire crews time to get there.

Newsom cut firefighting funding first week in office. He later changed his mind after 2020 and has been increasing it. I wish people would take these fires more seriously.

@@presence5426 I've lived in California all my life. Huge wildfires are a natural occurrence. Before fire departments existed these fires would burn clear until the next rainy season. My whole neighborhood in Mountain Ranch burned up in 2015. I've already put out one brush fire on my property this summer on Father's Day. We have all the fun up here. I would not be anyplace else.
@@WilliamsThomas-d3m I lived in Nor Cal for 45 years. I left, in part because of the Carr & Camp fires. They say CA was in a wet cycle during the 1900's. Yes, fires are normal here. But I know the climate & the land is not the same as when I was a kid. So it could be normal, long-term climate cycles changing. But also likely the effect of global warming. There's plenty of evidence for that.
