Love when people make their homes/spaces their own.
I do too. We shouldn’t live with trends, but what we love.
@@sandyheredia3027 Agreed!
Right, instead of thinking about what will get them the best ROI when they flip the place.
@@sandyheredia3027 isnt that what everyone does? and this 50s kitch is also a trend. hang out with any rockabilly peeps and its all over
Her home is so much fun. I think she did a nice job, some things were a bit too kitschy but hey, I still liked it. She has a great respect for older things and understands that just because something is “old” doesn’t mean it has to be thrown out.
A 21st-century refuge for time-travelers from the '50s.
That is cool! And 1950’s appliances still working. Good luck with a 2020’s appliance working 70 years later! Good luck with 2020’s appliance working 3 years later!!
Planned obsolescence
Beautiful home!! More style than most people have. You open the door in other people’s houses and it’s like an episode from Hoarders.
As a lover of Vintage and Antiques, Rochelle's Home is a well-curated Dream. 🖤
That's so awesome! Anything but the sterile undefined malaise of today's tastes. My dream too has always been this idea, but with 1930's art-deco styling, although I LOVE the '50's too.
Love it! I did the same thing to my home in Austin. Complete with a 58 Ford to drive.
Beautiful home. I wish we could go back to the 50s. It was the greatest time of my life.
As for her pink hair, I never saw anyone with pink hair in the fifties.
That was a fun little trip! I enjoyed all of her decor and the way she put it together. She seems like a person that has true appreciation for all things vintage.❤️
Me and my friends we were born in the 1950s, were now in our 70s, but we loved the styles from our youth. Many of us collect those decor items, from that time period. One friend grew up in the fabulous Mid Century Modern 1950s home, and moved back in when her folks passed away. It looks like a time capsule, there is a very "Jetson-esque" kitchen with a floating central counter with a built-in range, and oven is elevated and on another wall. There is a 2 sided flagstone chimney, with a glass insert in the fire box, so you can see into the living room, or vice-versa see into the kitchen from the living room. The house is modestly sized and a single floor, but there is the built-in intercom system, so one can talk to family members, there are speakers and receivers in each room wired to a central console in the dining room with a swing-out microphone. Pastel 50s linoleum, and wall colors, and counter tops with tiny boomer-rang motif patterns across the surface.
The 50s boomerang laminates are now so popular that Formica has brought it back into production.
@@MrSloika Thanks, I was already aware of that. I think they started to re-issue a whole pallet of colors & patterns as early as the late 1980s & early 90s . I was building non-functional, Art furniture in the mid 1980s for exhibitions in art galleries. My furniture had a 1950s retro look to it. There used to be countertop materials stores, in the USA,....where sometimes you could find unused original issue Boomerang patterned Formica™. I never got to install any in my house,...but I had odds and ends of the material, in my studio. That I incorporated into my art work .
Cool
It's very cool to be able to pick a decade in time and live accordingly. This was a lot of fun. Thank you for this tour.
I love her aesthetic! The pink hair, the Gothic dressing room, the pink kitchen appliances...very cool. I wish she was my next-door neighbor
That is pretty awesome. I'm genuinely happy that she was able to make this happen for her.
Love it. We also have a mid century home and chose to decorate with vintage /older pieces. Its a refuge from the crazy world and feel like we are in our grandparents home.
You have to appreciate humans like this
Love her color scheme in the interior, her kitchen with the built-ins, is to die for. Cool!
Good for you, congratulations on your beautiful home snd spectacular collection ❤
I applaud this woman. Well done, ma'am.
What a lovely space!
so beautiful they put it together so well I don t thing she missed out its like she belongs in that era.
Love it! 👍🏽
Everything you selected it tasteful!
Love this home. I always loved all things mid century modern.
Great for a home made movie
If that was my bedroom, I'd have a 1960 Mercury station wagon in there, as my bed
This should be a trend... Lets call it
"Reverse renovation"
wow absolutely love it. I seen these type of homes before but you give it an extra stylish and fun kick
Her tiki room was very cool
Fabulous!! I love it!!
There is something quite comforting about American style 1950s homes! Here in the uk they wernt so nice lookn but the American ones are lovely!
Love it!
That tiki room is the best! I wonder what her favourite 50's cocktail is.
So awesome
Amazing items in that house
Love it
I would love to build the Leave it to Beaver Home. The second iconic one on 211 Pine Street, not 45 Mapleton Drive. Yes I'm obsessed with the show😁
01:33 my Nana has that same exact oven that’s in the was but it’s green and pretty much that same stove top to she even has the black tin covers that go over each of the burners still lol
LOVE IT.
LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOOOOVE IT!!!!!
Complete it with a 57 Chevy Bel Air! Two tone!
Awesome, i have always wanted to furnish a room from the 60s
Awesome 👏
That's so cool
SO COOL!!!!!
ITS AMAZING I LOVE IT
This is a girl after my own heart!
Love it 😀
Literally my dream home
I have always wanted this decor, I have some things from that time, but never the whole look, I love it
I love her home
I love it 😊
I love it
Beautiful ❤
I wonder if she kept the two prong outlets and fuse box in that house lol.
Even my parents still have the tube TV and antenna on the roof but she doesn't even want to have that.
Dude, try everything but the 2 prong and fuse box. My house save for a few areas where there are nuclear age or older additions and where inline splices were replaced by junctioned romex solely for extra circuits, we have all original K&T. I live every day like it's 1930, and grounding was a joke. Thankfully, ours was declared ok by a professional because of the craftsmanship of the depression.
What a DREAM!
How beautiful
Power to her
That's neat.
Cool
😅Well done! I’m curious to know what her line of work is and what her thoughts are on MCM homes in regards to architecture. It would incredible to see all her furniture in an Eichler home.
I put a flat screen into a 80s TV console because my 85 year old mother refused to hang a flat screen on the wall.
That's strange, I don't remember any women with pink hair back then, a color that burns the retinas any day for sure!
😵
WWCPS? (what would Charles Phoenix say? 🤔)
Well, I would say, if it makes her happy, have pink hair
She has a 50's museum but clearly doesn't live the lifestyle. "Netflix" goes with the pink hair.
Good to see a kitchen with walls, a door and no stupid, giant island. There's too much kitsch for my liking, but it's something different from the ticky-tacky sub-divisions.
Oops, wonder if she realizes the pink hair definitely was not a 50's style?
Where do you find so many 50s items, so busy
Happy wife, happy life...
They never say how much it cost or where the money came/comes from.
where's her mr. handy robot?
Her house looks like a house from TV in the 50s. Not really what most normal people's houses looked like back then. Imagine calling the news because you are into antiques.
Harrison Butkers type of woman 🤣🤣🤣
Its beautiful
I wonder what She does for job?
I guess its expensive
Good that she met guy who share that with her
Feel like I’m watching a Fallout 4 cutscene.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
She's missing the cars in the driveway.
All the appliances lasted forever then
The house is amazing and she is stunning
To be fair, 50s is a good look, i mean you can have 50s furniture and wallpaper and still own an iphone there is no negative side :)
She's like stuck in the era of High. 😂😂😂
#TheFourthTurning
NOBODY had pink hair in the 50's. She blew it.
my house was built in 1950 and it's a shithole. Make sure Crawl isn't the one who built the house if you're in the market.
As it should be
Pink hair,nope
Todays home decor and furniture is so boring.
Wow love it all! She looks like a doll love her look too gorgeous 💖 💕 from Australia 🦘🐊
for an emigrant from Europe - a modern American or Canadian house looks the same.
So where is the husband? 😂
Covered in tattoos and not camera friendly for this piece.
ELS PRO WEB.
Who is this "they" she keeps referring to? Does she know that she's surrounded by people who actually lived through the 1950s? Folks who were her age in the 50s are now in their 80s. It wasn't that long ago.
Taylor swift?
Stress
Wait til she has kids.
I’d love to grow up there 😂
Did she include the asbestos?
Is she single ? ❤
Women didn't have pink hair back in the 50s. As much as I like pink hair, it does not belong in the 50a.
They did dye their hair though, they might have pink maybe not as bright tho
The hair is stupid and not 50s but this is pretty cool. I've always wanted a room in my house were there's nothing past 1999.
Yeah…no one had pink hair. Well not housewives. 😮
What a stupid story.
Ur stupid
You dum
Pretty cool just not my style but that Disney door is so cool
God shes beautiful
Love it!
