The combine has their own official electronic clock, that's why the broadcast's clock is the unofficial time. The time you see here will most likely not be the actual time officially posted
I think you can also conclude, if an unofficial time gets corrected, it will be corrected to a lower time instead of the opposite. As usually, it's human error from slow reflexes.

There are plenty of players who run in 4.5-4.6 Rand that are far better than players that ran 4.3. Cooper Kupp ran a 4.6 and was the best Wr in the league in 2021. Anquan Boldin ran a 4.7 and lead the league in receiving,not to mention the G.O.A.T Jerry Rice who Ran a 4.5. It's not all about the 40, it's about Route running

There is a science to this. If you can get the best balance leaning forward vs velocity and natural push. It's like a reverse tachometer. Pops up fast but continues to lean. You need to lean and catch your feet. It's all about explosiveness. That's why "Slow" running backs are the best. They're extremely explosive. But guys like CJ are extremely rare

Power on the sprint and not saturated through the run. Catch your forward momentum. But keep going. Have you ever held a broom stick balanced on your palm? Once it moves forward you chase the balance. Similar to that.

I feel like it doesn't matter how fast you are unless you run 4.2 something and it translates to the field that's cool but in all reality gms are looking for the receivers with heavy production, making sure they don't run in the 4.6's

Does anyone watch these and use keys to go frame by frame as the players are crossing the line? When I've done this the player's times never correlate to the moment that they actually crossed the line. Some times it stops before they've crossed, other times they're crossing the line at 4.19 and clock doesn't stop until after they're way past it.

They need to add at least one more digital clock, to verify the time. If its not exact, you'll know its off, which is what many suspect. The clock stops as soon as some cross the line, and not others.

Now if you have to wait until he fully crossed, then maybe its in the 4.2 time but thats still an amazing 40. (You can see this at 5:31 at 0.25 speed) Edit: this also occurs for Trey Palmer, he ran a 4.16 and the timer kept going after he passed the 40 on his first run. (9:05 at 0.25)
