What is happening in this decoder like other decoder or sound bar that claims atmos supported is that it detects atmos and mux/downgrade to feed to Dolby 5.1. Many of our TV box does that. Downgrade atmos to 5.1. Real atmos is possible only when hardware supports with additional channel outputs.

@SriKrishnaAudios Yes, TechVasal was right. Even if you use passthrough on a Redmi TV, the Kodi app has an option called AC3 re-encoding. This option will convert TrueHD (18,000 kbits/s) and E-AC3 (6144 kbits/s) to AC3 (640 kbits/s). The bitrates given in the brackets are the maximum supported bitrates of the corresponding formats. So, during re-encoding, the bitrate is reduced because AC3 supports a maximum of 640 kbits/s. Therefore, the audio quality is not the same as using direct TrueHD and E-AC3.
Also, you are using an optical cable as input to the decoder box in this video. An optical cable has the capability to transfer only up to 1.5 Mbps, which is suitable for formats like AC3 and DTS but not for higher bitrate formats like TrueHD and E-AC3.
I have been using this AC3 re-encoding option on my Mi TV for many years with my normal HD Rush box, which only supports Dolby Digital (AC3) and DTS.
M2TS is just a video container that holds audio and video, similar to MKV. However, M2TS is not directly passthroughed to the decoder box. The TrueHD 7.1 audio file is re-encoded to AC3 5.1 using Kodi app's AC3 re-encoding option and then sent to the decoder box through optical. This setup even works with a normal HD Rush box.
To actually test whether this Ayino box is capable of decoding TrueHD and E-AC3, you need to use HDMI input and make a test video with the re-encoding option turned off because optical will support only AC3, DTS, and PCM 2.0.
This reply is not to offend you, just to share the right information with everyone. If you can make a video with HDMI inputs of the box, it will be very helpful for everyone.

Hi Sir, i would really like to know that this is working as it is believed to. However, from my understanding, Dolby Atmos is not able to output from optical cable? But only HDMI ARC (compressed via Dolby Digital Plus), or eARC (True HD).

This video demonstrates True HD only. Not Atmos. Difference between True HD and Atmos is not 'clarity' my friend! Both formats support the same bit depth and sample rates. So both formats are equal when it comes to clarity you hear. Atmos is not superior in the perceived clarity! True HD has been the best sounding Audio format from dolby. Dolby Atmos is just another format from Dolby which utilizes a special Metadata that carries object based sound positioning in any given sound field with one and only objective.. That is to achieve 'Depth' in the perceived sound. Clarity and bass everything is the same as True HD apart from that.
In simple words, if you can understand how Depth is experienced in a 3D movie, Atmos does similar thing to Audio, by adding depth to make sound more spacial, immersible and 3D, for a layman to understand.
Lastly, nobody should be misled by false or incomplete information shared on videos in platforms like TH-cam. So, I must say this. Atmos decoding ability is NOT easy or cheap! Perhaps it's not even accessible to anyone unless you have the licenses, chips and hardware with certifications. They are all needed to get the atmos format working on any device. There's too much science and business to this topic. And we can debate for ages unless someone from Dolby steps in to shut us all at once.
However, if the decoder shown in this video is truly capable of decoding True HD 7.1 Bitstream, then that itself is like winning Gold! Not sure how they did it. But Kudos to them if this is True. The product should sell like hot cakes if the selling price is also as cheap as the product looks.

@@darrenc2370 you are very correct. Optical can't do more than 5.1 channels. And those 5.1 channel audio is not High resolution. They are compressed audio formats like ac3 for Dolby digital. However optical can support high resolution audio for upto 24 bits and 192 KHz but only for stereo channel output. Not multi channel.
Digital audio for True HD and Atmos, DTS HD Master Audio, DTSX, Auro 3D etc will all need HDMI 2.0 (ARC) or 2.1 (eARC) to work. Optical and Coax can only support SPDIF audio for LPCM or PCM, ac3 and .dts bitstreams.

Sir, minimum requirement is HDMI latest version.. you have connected it via Optical cable. Optical connections cannot cope with the higher bandwidth requirements of Dolby Digital Plus or True HD. The TV will down-convert the audio to Dolby Digital 5.1.

I am having t dolby digital amplifier normal pendrive via connecting movies are ok, but if we try to watch ott movies , I couldn't experience the proper 5.1 what I hear is normal stereo kind of audio

Bro. Don't explained wrongly. If any decoder not supported means automatically converts as Dolby surround as 5.1 it means not Dolby Atmos. DOLBY true HD/ ATMOS ARE UNCOMPRESSED. SO DISC STATUS SHOWS EITHER 5.1 OR 7.1 PCM NOT AT ALL BISTRAM.
