Congrats on your hyper mode 1CC, man! I really enjoyed hearing you talk about your experience with the game as a non-superplayer, just an average shmup enjoyer (like me) trying to get better at these awesome games.
Congrats on that 1CC and thanks so much for all those tips! I think you did pretty well even on that other run on Parallel difficulty. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who had to get used to using the special attack; Radiant Silvergun still looks temptingly but menacingly at me in my steam library. By the way, I loved the mission mode because it's a way to practice dodging, routing, bosses and other fun stuff.
Great job on the 1CC. I'm still trying to get a 1CC on normal in double action. Agreed that it's a good game for beginners. The Missions are excellent and teach you some great tips. The graphics and music really attracted me to it.
Congrats on your 1CC! Thank you for sharing your run, I played this game back in 2021 and recently watched Electric Underground's video on it and was thinking of going back to it. I was only ever able to 1CC normal but this makes me want to give hyper 1CC another shot. It's refreshing to see a run from a player that's skilled at the game but isn't a super hero like Jaimers 😆. Not sure if it's on your radar already but I can highly recommend Crimzon Clover if you're looking for another shmup with a really good learning curve and progression!
@@cyanagida1628 Dude yes! I have Crimson Clover on my Steam account and I am totally planning on getting into that one for sure. Also Jaimers is fucking insane. Heh :) I am now where near that kinda player. I see these other players do some incredible stuff and it just makes me want to play more.
difficulty doesn't really matter as long as you like the game. it's why i tell beginners to just start with the shmup that sticks out to them as opposed to whatever's the easiest. people intimidated by the genre are just too afraid to try out something new and refusing to step out of their comfort zone espgaluda is definitely easier than doj to be honest i don't always enjoy shmup communities since it sometimes feels like people are more interested in talking about shmups than actually playing them thanks to the internet promoting this behaviour in general. you also sometimes see people degrading themselves over not being able to get their battle garegga 22 million chitta no miss no bomb max rank clear and then whining about play time despite only having played for like 2 days. either that or you get people mocking others for starting with touhou i wouldn't really worry about mentioning youtubers by name since the community is pretty tight knit so everyone recognises each other
@@BamdTheBamd I’m still kind of new to being sort of…outward about my gaming habits, but so far people have been pretty cool, but I’ve only interacted with folks who definitely play a lot of shmups. So far, Espgaluda is pretty chill…til like…the last bosses haha. I’m getting my ass kicked at the end pretty good but the way the bombing system works with the slow mo and the bullet cancel and all that has been really fun. Would love to get a 1cc in Espagaluda. It being easier than DOJ gives me hope hah
You, my good sir, are not a novice if you 1CC'd DOJ BL. Novice is me who's highest achievement is Ketsui Deathtiny 1CC no routing, pure (luck) dodges. 😂 Also, i agree with the difficulty statement because i'd rather credit feed through DOJ BL and Ketsui than play something else just because it's easier.
@ yeah pretty much. I tried to do as much scoring as possible in the first stage maybe….just because of all the extends that are available. But what I noticed is if you just use the hell out of your special, you’ll end up racking up lives no matter what.
Sweet clear man. Still working towards mine, but I'll get there eventually.
@@Pompadour_Pug Thanks! You will get it
