As a kid, I rented this game from a library (don't judge me) and played the hell out of it on the wii. It was what made me look up Tatsunoko as a company and the end result was that I became a huge fan of the Casshern series. Generally though, I really just like the anime that tatsunoko put out. This game was the gateway into their works and It'll always have a special place in my library.
To unlock Frank West, you need to beat Arcade Mode with 2 Capcom characters. For Zero, beat arcade mode with 4 Capcom characters. For Tekkaman Blade, beat arcade mode with two Tatsunoko characters. For Joe the Condor, beat arcade mode with 4 Tatsunoko characters. And for Yatterman-2, beat arcade mode with the other 4 hidden characters.
10:35 - Uchū no Kishi Tekkaman (Tekkaman: The Space Knight) was the first anime I ever watched. It came out in 1975, however it was rerun in North America throughout 1984-'86 when I saw it.
I remember this game killing it when it came out, I was an SGA(shift manager) at Gamestop. None of the other staff had a clue who Tatsunoko was but I loved playing as Casshern and Karas, my main team for the game. Feel like Casshern Sins should get a little more love, but it is kinda depressing.
Glad i own a copy of this game. Was only 1 left in my local GameStop store few years ago. You will not find this game anywhere. Unless someone has a copy and willing too sell it on Ebay or something. Hopefully just Hopefully, they will do a remaster version for Pc and ps4/ps5. Since fighting games are a Big hit these days.
They went from bloody roar 2, those two naruto fighters they made for the gamecube, mvc 3 and now to dnf duel. Talk about improving your development- they really have shown their progress at developing fighting games.
If you know Speed Racer, you knew of Tatsunoko. Also, I liked Frank West here more than UMvC3. TvC has a LOOOOT of hidden depth to it. This is my favorite fighting game.
Flawed and weird as it may be, I always have and always will have a soft spot for this game. OST is full of bangers that I still listen to and being able to end an air combo as Alex with a power bomb is some of the best I've ever felt playing grappler characters. Hope the MVC3 mod of him keeps that as part of his character.
You know what when it comes to this game, I like the roster, that they had for the Capcom roster, everyone is very complimentary to the opposing side of the, Tatsunoko character roster.
The problem is that the rights to the characters for Tatsunoko because some of them don't belong to Tatsunoko and Tatsunoko is one of the best anime studios of Japan which used to be. My favorite is Gatchaman anime show known as Battle of the planets, G Force and eagle riders
Maaaaaaaan... Before I got heavy into collecting video games I had this for the Wii. Enjoyed the game and traded it at GameStop for some measly store credit. Might have to suck it up and get a copy from eBay.
Loved these games I believe it was never on PlayStation only Nintendo Wii i think Update I wote this before watching the video and my memory is still good when I said only the Wii.
Quick question. Does the screen angle change to a top view? When performing a very high air combo that continues upward. I was trying to remember if it was this game.
I know it's unlikely, but this deserves a remaster with even more characters for current consoles and PC.
The next best thing is Emulation for pc and a discord server for online match arrangements

You feel that the Tatsunoko heroes can exist within the world of the Capcom characters, it all blends in, it all blends in nicely..
You actually missing 5 characters that needs to be unlocked: Frank West, Zero, Joe the Condor, Tekkenman Blade and Yatterman-2

I'm glad I have this game disc and works good still since my birthday
Such a cool game, I miss this one a lot.
This was my first real fighting game that I learned the mechanics of. Mostly because the wii was the only console I had at the time
Still got my copy and still rocking it!

Such a great game that deserves a remaster re-release; maybe with additional characters.
Speed Racer is a must-have. I don’t care if they have to give him a goofy moveset (a la Phoenix Wright in MvC3) to make him work. It’d be worth it.

This is my favorite fighting game.
This game plays much better with a snes controller, plug that into the wii remote and you're good.
I remember the hype of this game when it was relased. kinda sad we never got to see anything like this after. it had a huge backing back in the days
One of the best fighting games of all time. Made me check out Cashern Sins.
This game has one kick ass soundtrack and tekkaman blade

This needs a PS4 version badly!

One of the very best games on the Wii. A real shame it never went anywhere else.
I loved to play this game on the wii an playing online, miss the good times

God I love this game! and Orbital Ring System Cargo Bay's theme is just... FUCK
I think they put volnutt in the game since the artstyle fit the legends style so well
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. Personally I like this game alot more than MvC3. The special effects in this game look really cool too.👍
Why I bought a Wii and still even play it.
Is it wrong that I find it very interesting watching them trying to figure out how the controls should be setup? lol
If only the guys knew they were playing the game unoptimized. I just started up my dolphin and can tell theirs is running slower and fps is lower.
Miss this game so much fun

A lot of the shows from tataunoko used to air in America in the 90s actually 2:17
Can we get a boss rage video for this game please
Rate the super?
And Volnutt was never seen again...
Ahhh I remember this game
The intro reminded me of Genki Rockets more than Daft Punk
Yes the Japanese intro is also in this
These guys should really play Zatch bell Mamodo Battles as it's made by 8ing as well
19:22 Ah yes, *"Washinkyo, Amehon"!* I remember that! Hahaha! 😆
[Washington DC, America × Tokyo, Japan (Nihon)]
I like the Japanese ver opening.
They put more effort to it.
This game is good better than most music was great 👍 The final boss is sick 👋
Joel Perez from tatsunoko
