- The final chapter in Sonic’s Netflix debut is more of the same. Great action, not much substance. Was Sonic Prime a doomed series from the start? It’s part three of the Sonic Prime retrospective.

Love the Sega Saturn reference at the beginning, shows how the potential was out of this world
10:12 I don't blame all the Sonadow fans who ship Sonic and Shadow in this show cuz just look at how he's carrying Sonic in this scene.
Pretty nice ending to the Sonic Prime review series! While I enjoyed the last season for the most part, I will say it could've been a lot better, and agree that the first season is the best one, but not sure if it's the best Sonic TV show anymore or not.
Pros:
• Voice-acting is still at its finest
• Neat animation
• Fitting end for Sonic and Nine's relationship
• Was on the edge of my seat to see if Sonic would survive or not
Cons:
• Longest. Recap. Ever. (I know you can skip it, but for people who only watched the prior seasons when they released, did we really need a recap that's 1-2 minutes long?)
• Nine could've won if he made Chaos copies of Tails (or himself)
• Battle does get long and repetitive
• Ends on a cliffhanger
It sure was a show that started strong yet had a not-so-strong finish.
Also if Shadow actually had the chaos emerald (or if he's able to use chaos control without the chaos emeralds) he could use chaos control and if he took off his inhibitor rings he could single-handedly kill Nine and all of his robots.
A great review of the Sonic Prime finale.
4:29 I don't care if the fight only lasts for 30 seconds if Shadow was there and he decided to use chaos control and take off his inhibitor rings he could single-handedly kill Nine and all his robots.
Maybe it is Netflix's fault but is a good thing this was on a streaming service because everyone knows cable is dying.
10:31 OH MY GOD I SAW THIS MEME AT SCHOOL IN DECEMBER AND I LOVED IT!!!! 😅😅
No 4th season, just 24th episode. That is all I need.
There will be none. The double length premier counted as two.
Somebody on TH-cam pointed this out and I didn't notice this when I first watched this season but...........NINE IS A MURDERER!!!! He destroyed the worlds how many people did he kill!?
Directly. Nobody. Indirectly and accidentally? About 20% less than Sonic.
I love Sonic Prime, really good series!
It's a shame the series is over, but it's a great ending!
the disappointing finale is we never got a 24th episode
True
Technically, the series premiere was a double-length episode, so the series was already eight hours long.
@@Fictionboy16 that doesnt matter. that was still only episode 1. we were promised 24 episodes total and only got 23. they lied to us
@@mastermindoftrouble
They confirmed themselves that the double length premier counted as two.
@@DaveMan1K that still doesnt matter. they said 24 episodes IN TOTAL. THERE HAS BEEN NO 24TH. JUST BECAUSE EP 1 WAS VERY LONG DOESNT MAKE IT 2 EPISODES
6:22 it's funny you use the word "imaginable" because the writers of the show have no imagination.
Admittedly, I don’t hate season 3 but I wish they could have done something better with it.
I’m only questioning one thing, We all know this is canon but where does it take place in the timeline. I know doesn’t matter as it takes place in a blink of an eye.
It doesn't matter anyway as the games will never reference it, just like all extended media.
Season 3 was a drag to go through was so excited for it only to be disappointed the whole fight scenes , shadow getting sidelined, the insane padding and the writing overall Season 3 wasn’t bad but it not as good as Season 1 and especially Season 2
Also, there is some neat-o stuff arriving for Sonic fans, as the Knuckles limited series arrives in two months, which will take place in between Sonic Movies 2 and 3 (even got a logo paying an homage to Sonic Adventure 2), but I'm a bit on the fence about Sonic x Shadow Generations, since the original Generations is still my favorite Sonic game, so I'm not sure why it needed a remaster (especially one that puts Shadow '05 in the mix). The one thing I hope that gets fixed there is the final boss, or at the very least give us the option to turn off the friends chatting the same three hints over and over again. What do you think of Sonic content coming this year (give or take Season 3 of Prime that already came)?
Hey dude!
I look forward to the Knuckles series on Paramount Plus. I hope it keeps the same quality as the movies.
I'm a little iffy on Sonic X Shadow Generations. I'm happy that we're get an updated version to my favorite platformer of all time. But, I won't play until after release. SEGA has burned me too many times with how they treat PC fans (Colors Ultimate botched PC port, removing previous Sonic 2 ROMs just before Sonic Superstars, etc.)
Have you played the Kickstarter demo for Rollin' Rascal? It's great to control and the course design is WILD. I hope the final product is as good as Spark the Electric Jester 3.
@@lysander789 Thanks for the reply as usual, but I haven't played the demo for Rollin' Rascal because I don't have Steam, though the game is coming to Switch, so if it ends up being that good when it releases, I might check it out...

I remember just being so pissed off with this show when s2 came out, the pacing was horrible and the patting made me just wanna claw my eyes out. The S3 final battle is some of the most disappointing 'final battles' I’ve ever had to watch. This series is just one of the biggest missed potential EVER. At best it’s just so PAINFULLY average.
Im probably not first but this stops others from saying first
Yeah stop the kids

Hello Lover of green. My name is Isaiah and I have something important to say to you. God loves you and like any father he wants to help you and keep you safe especially from the devil. But the choice is ultimately yours have a nice day Shalom Shalom.
Eh, could've been better.
Prime commits the worst sin of any TV show: it's pointless to watch.
It promised a lot, delivered on nothing, and was reset at the end and rendered moot.
Because it had to be "canon", it couldn't spread its wings and go on to something bigger, and we all know this setting will never come back, as the games never acknowledge extended media.
A full year's worth of investment for nothing. The only Sonic media I'll never come back to.
