Hey :) Thanks! The EarthyQuaker sounds great! I've got a couple of analog flangers the Boss BF-2 (Purple Pedal) and MXR Flanger - both sound amazing - there's a video on the Boss here: th-cam.com/video/wqRpZvN2ruk/w-d-xo.html
Since you may not be privy to what "vintage" means on the MXR unless you're a guitar player or pedal enthusiast, it refers to the original "script" version of the MXR phase 90. Modern phase 90s are referred to as "block". Both nicknamed for their font on the enclosure. As far as sound, the script versions are a little more tame in their formant sweep. In other words,more subtle of a sweep. The standard modern versions have a noticeably deeper sweep. Most guitarists prefer the script or vintage version because it's not so over the top and sounds much smoother. However, many funk players go for the block logo version because it is so deeply funky in its sweep.
You mentioned that you are you using the mono out as the stereo out is only used for the "ensemble" sound. This is quite common on many of the old stringers. But the "ensemble" sound is always soooo good!! So what do you do if you want to "phase" the ensemble sound? Any good analog stereo input phasers you would recommend? I've got a TC Electronic "Helix" that's stereo in and out but it is a digital pedal. Really would like something analog. Suggestions?
Hi fuguroo, hmmm stereo inputs and analog - can't say I know of one.
