I was thinking before that a boo took his painting and put it reverse in the E gadd’s portrait machine.
I was admittedly worried when I saw the Ghosts with Pupils. I'm happy to see that's when they are domesticated vs. when they are evil.
Ironically they look more cursed with pupils
Honestly I kinda prefer their pupilless look, it makes them fit in better with Boos since those guys also don't have pupils
the "good" look creeps me out more somehow 😭
I still find it strange how the ghosts in Luigi's Mansion 3 never even had pupils and were still good. One of the reasons I still prefer the ghosts in 2 rather than 3.
@@Nathan11107Mayhaps the pupils are an unnatural side effect of the dark moon?
@@trunguss I guess that's one way to look at it. At least with pupils you can tell if the ghosts are good or not, whereas in 3 there's almost no way of telling if they're good without them attacking you.
I got a feeling this is leading more to a Luigi’s mansion 1 look as the whole game looks a lot darker and the new text box is a really nice change can’t wait for this!!!
Please dont compare the greatness of Luigi's Mansion 1 to this awful game lol.

I kinda wish it was more on par with LM3 visuals, but it still looks great either way. Played this on a friend's 3DS years ago, and I'll be glad to play this game again. From what I played, it was great.
It should at least be a 1 and 2 double pack becuase this looks like a very modest HD update Nintendo will no doubt be charging full price for.

Now that I think about it, if this game is using a hybrid emulation approach that’s actually a feasible proposition. For example, hybrid emulation made Pikmin 1+2 (financially) feasible because instead of fully rebuilding both games from the ground up, they compiled the source code to work on the Switch’s CPU and used emulation for the GC/Wii graphics.
I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if LM2 HD is using a similar approach just with emulating the 3DS’s graphics, as there doesn’t seem to be any new visual effects outside of the higher resolution. Since Luigi’s Mansion 1 is both on GC and 3DS, Nintendo probably has the resources to do a cheap hybrid emulation port to Switch and could easily bundle it with this light remaster.
@@johnclark926 That's what Mario Galaxy in 3D All-Stars did as well, the game's source code was a native port to the Switch but the Wii graphics and sound were emulated, though for some reason they didn't do that with Sunshine despite that being a Gamecube/Wii game too (both 64 and Sunshine were fully emulated).
I entirely agree. If they are going to charge full price, then at least it should have included Luigi's Mansion 1 and Luigi's Mansion 2 Dark Moon remastered, charging full price over an extremely modest HD port from 11 years ago is a rip off.
Last I checked Luigi's Mansion 2 HD is $59.99.

Same here. Got the game for my b-day years ago and I loved it ever since.
Seeing trailers for this on the Nintendo Channel on my Wii was my childhood (never actually played the game myself, didn't have a 3DS until this past December). In one trailer it was called "Luigi's Mansion 2" and in the others it was called "Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon" and child me thought they were two different games lol.
For those that don't know the story beginning, I'll tell you.
King Boo broke the Dark Moon and split it into 6 pieces.
The Dark Moon is a celestial object that makes the ghosts in Evershade Valley become passive.
Since the Dark Moon shattered, the ghosts have now become dangerous and are under King Boo's control due to the pieces becoming covered in corrupting energy from King Boo's attack.
Imagine if we see the dark moon and an ultimate showdown against Luigi vs King Boo in a Luigi’s mansion movie
This is my favorite game in the Luigi's Mansion trilogy.
I still cants justify buying this hd port game when i still own the original on the 3ds. However im still very happy for everyone who gets to experience this Wonderful game for the first time

But this is Nintendo UK, where it is £50. If you don't want to pay $60, which is completely understandable (I wouldn't, either), maybe it would be good to wait for a sale? IDK if you can find it cheaper than $60 at launch, here in the UK we can easily find pre-orders for less than RRP (aka MSRP), but maybe it doesn't work like that in the States, I'm not sure.

@@MarshedWS I absolutely agree! I'm only paying £14.63 cash for it pre-ordered as I had an Amazon Gift Card from Christmas. There is absolutely no way I would pay £50 for it, even though it looks very good IMO. I personally think this game should be £40 RRP, but Nintendo will be Nintendo.
Instead I recommend people either find a cheap pre-order (often, physicals not directly from Nintendo are under £50 RRP), or getting it later on sale. Or not getting it at all, if one is happy with the 3DS version/doesn't want the game anyway.
I reckon there will be some new content they may share closer to launch, or it may just be QOL improvements. We'll see, I guess.
TL;DR I agree, no need to pay full price at all. You can easily find it cheaper pre or post-launch, at least in the UK.
Buying it physically from a non-Nintendo outlet is surprisingly a lot cheaper.

The Switch’s manpower is different from the 3Ds’s manpower, meaning its not gonna look like LM3’s graphics

On 3DS, the moment E Gadd runs at the camera if you have the 3D on is still burned into my mind. Such a great moment to use that effect.
Also, its so weird to see this game running smoothly and consistently, I remember how unstable/unlocked the framerate was on 3DS. Could go anywhere from super butter smoother 60fps to 30 to whatever it wanted all the time.
I remember that. Another framerate problem was when you are catching a multitude of ghosts at the same time while other stuff was happening at the same time.
Really looking forward to this remaster! Grew up with this game as a kid on my 3DS. Played it so much I eventually broke the thumbpad a few years back. Seeing them port and remaster this game for the Switch is awesome along with bringing back the classic Scarescraper Multiplayer. Looking forward to reexperiencing this childhood classic of mine with the improved visuals. I hope they port the 3DS port of Luigi's Mansion 1 to the Switch at some point in the future as well.

I just think out of all the king boo designs that this one is the most uncanny and disturbing because of the clean texture....3 was bigger and had more expression so that is probably the one that is right now. Just from the footage though, it caught me off guard to see king boo looking like that.

Isn't it weird that the American's just want different names of games compared to us? We got Luigi's Mansion 2. They got Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon. What's the difference? It is pretty much the same game. Except just localized in a different way.
