Cougars also usually bite the back of the head or neck when attacking larger prey, not the throat. And there are 2 documented cases of cougars attacking bison. One of the cougars was reportedly "chewing on the back muscles" of a fleeing bison. However, hunters shot and killed the cougars both times, so it was never confirmed if the cougars would have succeeded or not.

I personally believe a similar situation could occur between a cougar and an adult bison. Of course, as long as the cougar has an abundance of easier, less dangerous prey, it has no reason to try to take on a full-grown bison.
The only things that I find in this game that's unrealistic in my opinion is that black bears are the same size as grizzly bears, also that a wolf is bigger than a cougar, and that dogs are so skilled in combats they're capable of taking down a cougar in a 1 on 1 fight most of the times....and not to mention how a American bison gets overpowered by a cougar so easily, and wolverine managed to kill cougar twice without any losses.... personally, I think that cougars and especially herbivores are pretty downgraded in this game. But then again, the Far Cry games are already extremely good in terms of realism in comparison to Ark Survival Evolved...

Most of the animations are the same. A wild boar would take a massive beating from a cougar. Same with a black bear. I can tell the cat is very overpowered. Most of the animals in real life don't give up so easy..this certainly needs work.
