  • Grab yourself a coffee and sit back and watch me being interviewed by me. I thought this would be a good way to introduce myself to fellow flyers and TH-cam subscribers and watchers. I dare say a lot of you share a very similar story to my own, it was fun trying to edit the video together as well. Thanks for watching.

    Cliff thank you so much for the glimpse of the “ man behind the balsa” every video is an education and inspirational to a beginner like myself . I’ve joined a a great local club, so friendly , knowledgable and patient ( LADMAS) in Merseyside little shout out for them all there. Huge congratulations to you on your 3000 milestone it’s absolutely deserved.

    Thoroughly enjoyed this Cliff! You are very inspiring for sure. I find myself watching you do/fly things I usually wouldn't be interested in, and I enjoy it! Got a Micro aces on the way because of you. Really enjoyed your story! I think people that don't have a channel have no idea how much goes in to it when the videos are more polished. My plan when we hit 1000 subs is to give a shout out to some the channels we love and that helped us with their support. How would you feel about being actually interviewed by Model AV8R via zoom/google meet/facetime? I would love to interview you and tell folks about your channel. You have so much to offer the modeling community.

    Very good Cliff! I think all of us pilots have very similar stories. I use to structure videos as you can tell in my earlier videos but after my computer crash and reload I lost my editor. My replacement editor is too complex for my liking so now I just upload the raw flight, start to finish, which I actually did in my earlier videos. I was able to cut in stills with the video's which I really enjoyed. But you are a talented balsa builder. I just mostly fly foamies but love being able to do it! Keep up the good work!

    I had a similar experience when I was about 8 years old. (About 1974) Dad had his prize Top Flite Nobler hanging in the garage. It was beautiful! Of course, I was curious about seeing it fly, so I took it down, and tossed it down the driveway. It flew great, that is, till it landed and broke the tail section off. Oops! Needless to say, dad was pretty upset.

    • @CliffHarveyRCPlanes
      @CliffHarveyRCPlanes  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      😩 Well, I think we all do silly things like that when we're young Frank, he probably got over it eventually and look at what you're up to now, he'd be well impressed 😁👍

    • @FranksModelAviationWorkshop
      @FranksModelAviationWorkshop 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CliffHarveyRCPlanes he did. He taught me everything I needed to know to get started in the hobby. He was impressed. Dad passed away in September of 2017, but he loved seeing the progress of my builds. He told me I did a better job covering, and building than he did. Made me feel good. I found a Nobler kit on eBay. I’m going to build one just like the one I crashed, and hang in over his burial flag in the house. It’ll never be flown.

    My wife bought me a flight in a tigermoth for my 50th. Crumbs that was fifteen years ago. Well I never got the flite, it was the windiest day ever and when it came to my turn the trigger on landing broke her wingtip. Still we had a good day at Duxford.
